All packages downloaded, no story, ladder, online, faction modes available. No Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Shinnok or Goro. All stages but one are unlocked, Krypt is fully functional (I've managed to get all the puzzle items, been everywhere, took me a hour).
You can get easy fatality coins from crypt tombstones/corpses/etc, both timed and non-timed. Honestly, the timed chests aren't that bad - they can cost anywhere from like 10 krypt bucks to 8000. You always hear when they spawn or despawn, from which direction and how far. The jumpscares aren't the worst thing ever either. Takes you only 1 button press to get them off.
I've unlocked 3 or so costumes and a multitude of brutalities, didn't even have to leave the Krypt to get more money.
However, I have some gfx problems with shadows on my ATI HD 7770, I have them set to medium with AO turned on and they look wrong, noisy. I guess I'll have to wait for the inevitable driver update.
So far, this game is fucking broken. Wait for the full release before bothering to launch this.

Man I'm having so much trouble pulling of special moves with an xbox controller.
Pulling off long combos must be nigh impossible without an arcade stick or something.

I was thinking of trying to play in keyboard. I can execute the combos easily but I mess up controls quite often because of my hand movement.
By the way, cutthroat Kano is a beast, just use his DL1 EX as launcher and you can dish out crapload of damage.

I hope there's some sort of on-screen indication that an easy fatality was used, but only because I'm petty like that.
I do agree, it's very smart. $1 for 5 fatalities? That's insane.

So, I finally installed all the Install Packs. Story Mode and other game modes are all locked out. Atleast I can play single fight's against AI or local play. Also:

Story mode is blowing me away so far. The production value has been upped so much. It's actually interesting this time.

I found a newbies lobby and I actually had fun. I don't see the point of ranked if I (1 win 12 losses scrub) get matched with a dude who is going 86-3.

Nvm, i found out how. Just have to press start when selecting the costumes.

SP "works" but still has an issue with chugging framerates on titan X sli systems; MP is still fucked from hell to breakfast and you still can't customize your controls without crashing the entire game.

Mk9? That's how it was but for MKX I had to press X.
Is there no tag team anymore?
