I've learned to not play online because the only people I end up against are macro spammers.
Find some IRL friends or someone you know won't just mash one button and do 15 hit combos on you all day. It's what I do.

How do you know they're using macros?
You won't get better by playing the same people over and over again.

People online are actual good by the way, well some.
I actually think playing against people you know is a good way to stifle your ability to improve if that's what you care about at all, especially you are better than the people in question.

It may sting to lose against "spammers" online, but all play has counterplay, if you can keep conviction and keep practicing against them without just dismissing their strategies as "cheap", you can probably learn to work around it and stop losing to those people.
Had some of the worst games tonight.. came home from work and won like 4 matches then went on a loss streak and kept getting put against liu kang fireball spammers, scorpion spammers.. hopefully the block feature works properly on the One because so many have been blocked. PS4 online seems so much better on this game too, some stream I watch he gets like 1 spammer out of every 100th match he plays.

Zoning is a legitimate strategy and it's something that happens even in high level tournaments (for example Kabal in MK9). You will encounter this on any platform. Learning how to deal with this is important. Like Leslie said every play has counterplay.
Dash inbetween shots or armor through them with EX moves. If you have a teleport it's a free hit.
If they spam teleports start punishing them. Pretty sure none of the teleports are safe on block unless enhanced. Hell, just uppercut them after they whiff their port if you can't do combos.
I haven't tried the multiplayer yet and my PC's dead right now so I can't check, how does the matchmaking work ? Is it a random pair-up only or does it also have lobbies/rooms like MK9 ?
If it's the latter I'd like to see a ban mechanic be put in place so that lobbies can set up fun match-ups and such.

I've been just using rooms and I get people with Red ping mostly and I've learnt to deal with it, but one day I'll meet another with green ping and I'll be forever bonded with him in spiritual marriage.
Are all online games logged? I might try playing online but the problem is my friends are bothering me to play with them but I dont want to and I'd rather they don't notice me playing online.
get some new friends?
Nah they're ok IRL but I just have sort of policy to avoid playing most "super competitive" games with them where we're directly pitted one against each other because some of them can get quite butthurt about it.

Also after some break from MK I've been nailing combos p nicely. 56% if you use EX power up.

Oh and I experimented with Kung Jin and got this.

Even tho it shows 2 separate combos I don't think you can block between them (or it's incredibly hard to do considering not even AI can block the combo without using breaker). He has a pretty sick damage output with Bojitsu, this above is like 47% barless.
Not sure if this has been posted yet but

In MK9 it was impossible to do fatalities on Shao Khan, so NetherRealm never made gibs for him. This video gives some insight as to how exactly the gibs worked in MK9.

You could do this with the NPC spectators too.

Yes, generally any character model that doesn't have associated gibs will react this way during fatalities.
This was probably already discussed when Jason was announced, but if the fatalities came from the movie, what kills would you like to see used?
I would love to see the sleeping-bag beat down, though they's probably have to change it a bit to get it to work.
If they spread the love to other characters, this kill would be great for Sub-Zero.
Sleeping Bag will be a Variation with its own moves and brutalities associated I heard.
I'm not watching anything on Jason Ima wait till he comes out, then Ima take him into the lab and fuck around.

Can't remember which movie but a variation of the one where the dude is doing a handstand and he just karate chops him directly in the nuts.
Does anyone play High-tech Jacqui?
I feel like I'm the only one who likes her.
Read on this forum that someone found stuff for Jason on the game.
Not sure if it's real, but he had some cool info.

Description: With Jason Voorhees trapped in another realm, the residents of Camp Crystal Lake can sleep easy tonight. Unfortunately, when Jason's murder spree has ended he will assuredly discover a portal back to Earthrealm...but just maybe, the Special Forces can stop him!
Bio
Death and revenge make up the very core of Jason Voorhees' being. He died as a young boy. His mother killed out of grief and rage. When she was murdered, Jason returned and avenged her. Many times since, the living have tried to send him back to the realm of the dead. He's been stabbed, drowned, electrocuted, hurled into space… But Jason cannot be killed. Cannot be stopped.
Ladder Ending
Like Scorpion, Jason Voorhees was a revenant: a vengeful spirit returned to life. Hundreds had fallen victim to his bloodlust. Liu Kang, now ruler of the Netherrealm, took notice. An immortal killer like Jason would be useful in his plans for konquest. He drew Jason into the Netherrealm and offered him an endless bounty of slaughter… in return for his allegiance. Jason's simple reply was to destroy Liu Kang.[/sp]

Sold $24 worth of Dota items yesterday to grab the Kombat Pack, quite proud of myself :v:
Oh wow his second fatality :v:
Is there anything on when they'll be selling the characters individually? I don't feel like paying $25 for two characters I want and two I don't care about.

I think you'll be able to pay for each character individually as soon as they're available, and I expect them to be $10 each.
They're available a week early for Kombat Pack owners. 5 dollars each.
Aren't 3 characters coming out?
Aren't 3 characters coming out?
Four, with Jason being the first. Then possibly Tanya next, followed by Predator, then after that Tremor. Or I dunno what order NRS will release them in.

Sorry yeah I meant to say 4.
so warner bros own new-line cinema, who made the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie
Part of me would love to see a little skin pack based on it/the outfits used.
Including uh

In all seriousness, undead/flaming skull Scorpion from MK4 and MK DA would be awesome.

Also do we know if Monster from Deception is Scorpion or not? It obviously appears to be Scorpion.
