People who try to play him how you're supposed to play him and fail miserably are worse than just maxing the nuke and debuff probably.

To be honest I imagine it's just smurfs that would be comfortable picking Chen at that level, and if you're gonna stomp over new players why not use a hero you never get to use otherwise
I've always been shit at the game in general but there was a month where i just decided that I was going to play chen and it was surprisingly easy to just come out of the trees and net someone then right click them with whatever creeps you had until they died, and this is low-mid 2k
unfortunately this was before he got the ability to control ancients so if i didn't tear down towers I became useless pretty fast
Chen has a huge skill ceiling but I think people exaggerate his skill floor.

I believe that, it just seems more like a problem with the mindset of players rather than the hero actual being hard though

I think dota needs a new UI for micro intensive heroes. Far too much of the difficulty comes from how hard it is to keep track of all the units you control rather than the actual complexity of the mechanics and the plays involved.
You can do very basic micro by enabling the "hold control to give commands to all units" option so if you want to just move around or attack you can use that if you don't feel like selecting them all which is pretty useful for guys like PL who keep creating illusions that disappear quickly

well I only mentioned blink if you wanted a really fast pick-off, like as if Blink-Hex or Blink-Magnus, where you pick the entire team off guard.
Force can work just as well, and generally is better for OD. Or just standing up hill when enemy team walks to you on a platter without vision.
Blink is so good on OD are you people for real
You can imprison yourself and blink away for free if you need to escape, blink-imprison or blink-atos to set up a pickoff, and it has a way better initiation range and speed than force. Everything you get from losing that whopping 10 intelligence is beyond worth it.

I just go Atos into Blink into situational since Atos gives a downright silly amount of damage for just 3100 gold.
Blink is amazing on OD, its great on puck with phase shift and its great for the same reason on OD. The hero really needs a good mobility item to work

She becomes significantly better the less knowledgeable her enemies are. She has very high damage and snowball potential if she isn't counter-built against, and who at that low of a level even knows what Silver Edge, Atos, or MKB even are? So when one low level player gets stomped by PA, he's convinced and starts playing PA himself.
PA is Dota's Spy.

An MKB doesn't mean PA is suddenly *wham* useless. I'm not saying it's not an issue for her either, but it doesn't stop her from critting for 1k.

It does remove a huge chunk of her survivability if she doesn't already have Satanic and Skadi, since her natural strength is pretty weak.

back when you saw her every single game in pubs, after her arcana was released, I saw people ignoring mkb all the time :v:
Nowdays not so much, last ranked game I went agaisnt PA our carry got a MKB and I got an atos, Sole reason she managed to get kills was because she stick with her team.
