Dota 2 General Chat v32 - ASIC's questionable builds edition
i wasn't even talking about the bottles
Pretty sure that is a fairly standard techies build.
Pretty sure that is a fairly standard techies build.
I've seen (too much) techies in my time and I can't say Bloodstone is exactly standard.
I've seen (too much) techies in my time and I can't say Bloodstone is exactly standard.
It's not great on Techies but people seem to build it a lot. Probably because it builds from Soul Ring. Octomeme core is much better though
So anyone else watching Manila? I thought Secret performed much better this time around, and it seems like they have the steam back so it should be an interesting semi-finals [editline]23rd April 2016[/editline] I rescind my previous statement about EE being the death of Secret for now
I'm really hype to see more fnatic. Miduan is one of the most skilled players to watch and he seems do do well with whatever hero. His pugna was godlike against EHOME
Pretty sure that is a fairly standard techies build.
It's as "standard" as Aghs Refresher Zeus is. In all seriousness, it's trash and you shouldn't get those items. As Techies you should focus on Aghs and Force Staff as your priority, and then, you can start farming waves with your Remote and work towards other items like Octarine Core. After that you can get items like Euls to set-up stasis traps and whatnot, Vyse for a more reliable disable, Bloodstone if you're turtling base and going to the fountain isn't an option, or heck, even Aether Lens if you're feeling like it. You did get two important items in your game, props to you. But you skipped two items I consider core on Techies. The reason to get Aghs is just because it's just good all around, you can farm waves with one remote and the increased damage means you can set with minefields quicker, which is always what you're looking for as Techies. As for Force Staff, it's just that by the time you get Aghs, most of the time the enemy bought a gem, and Force Staff is the gem counter for Techies. Someone's trying to de-mine your stuff? Just Force Staff him and -1 for the enemy team on the next teamfight, although you should be aiming to kill the gem carrier, you can always pick someone off. Force Staff is just a good item all around as it also helps you with mobility and positioning yourself to set-up stuff, most importantly, stasis traps.
Secret vs Empire Game 2. Game fucking broke :v: [sp]That rubick and seer counter against tide, enigma[/sp]

So I played my first real game as Tusk in a while (the previous one was 20 minute stomp where everyone on the enemy team Disconnected): http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2314748278 I found out that Tusk has a really good attack animation for last hitting. Interestingly I also had the same number of deaths as assists (like my first Tusk match). Now on to the real reason I am talking about this match. Look at Lone Druid, you will notice that he didn't die a single time in a 70 minute match. That's because he just afked in spawn, and used his bear most of the game. The thing is this guy probably won us the game. So what the actual fuck. How do you fucking carry a game while using half your fucking hero. How the fucking fuck does the nearly 6 slotted enemy team manage to lose to this.
Spirit Bear is the actual hero, Lone Druid is just his supporting companion.
Spirit Bear is the actual hero, Lone Druid is just his supporting companion.
Yeah, but I don't think you are supposed to afk the Druid in your fountain.
Yeah, but I don't think you are supposed to afk the Druid in your fountain.
aghs scepter

How do you do the Chen Creep blocking thing. I have been trying it in test lobbies but it doesn't seem to work.
aghs scepter
Yes, but that means you can keep the bear far away from the druid. You don't have to afk him in the fountain.
Hopefully spectre gets dicked in 6.87 now that she has a 70% win rate.
So I was playing a Game of Carry Io on my smurf account and I noticed some weird shit For one I don't think I was the only smurf. I think Windranger may have been one. All or most of the players had less than 10 matches, yet they didn't seem to do retarded item builds that I expect when I see new players. They also seemed to have a clue about what is going on. Is the tutorial for the game that good?
Why did you play on a smurf?
Spectre is like the 7th most played hero, she WILL get fucked.
They didn't fuck WR that hard last patch and she was like second most played, I really do think it's the patch and meta which suits Spec not the hero being broken.
Spectre is strong because pubs have no fucking clue how to end games fast or keep carries from farming.
Spectre is strong because pubs have no fucking clue how to end games fast or keep carries from farming.
Spectre's more strong because most pubs don't know how to deal with the global threat, really. A Spectre with urn and maybe Drums is actually a really strong early/mid game if played right.
Spectre is strong because pubs have no fucking clue how to end games fast or keep carries from farming.
Lol that's not the point, the point is the second she lands semi decent Haunt she's back into the game due to rubberband bullshit.
"In fact, TI4 actually had enormous strategic diversity outside of the very last, yet highest profile two series." Incredible diversity, like picking ___ tower pushing hero because ___ tower pushing hero was banned! He also says that the game is becoming more of a simplistic battle arena like HoTS or League of Legends, and then contradicts himself by saying the best way to play with this new game direction is ultra safe, which goes against how HoTS and LoL (prior to this season) played. [editline]24th April 2016[/editline] Actually the TI4 thing is really funny because it actually played exactly like how HoTS plays
