Item changes are pretty crazy. Hero changes are pretty zzz. Starting hero stat changes actually worry me even more than anything though. More HP on heroes early means laning is going to be even more boing because ganking will be harder. That and shit like Infused Raindrops and the Ring of Health changes. Scan is also the dumbest fucking thing on the planet.

I'm hype for TB's buff, but especially the nerfs to the flavours of the month like OD, and that buff to nyx, which isn't even all that big, but hey it helps when you already have a slightly big regen at start.

I'm not an Ar[sp]k[/sp] Warden player and I'm still mad they destroyed the hero. I'm always mad when Icefrog just goes "nah, fuck this hero and anybody who enjoys playing him" and makes him useless.
Yeah, but god forbid me talking about Techies remaining like SHIT for over 3 patches because Icefrog made him the worst hero in the game and wants to forget that he ever existed.
I bet Zet is going to get buffed next patch and Techies will get fuckall again.

Yeah, but when I say "first ban first pick," I tend to refer to the blanket effect where a hero is either picked or banned regardless of composition or current enemy picks.
Puck has been far from this for quite a while and is "niche" pick tier right now where there's teams that have specific plans with it, but not every Average Joe team is just gonna pick Puck up for no incoherent reason.
Scan reminds me of terran command center "scanner sweep" in starcraft.
w/e at least all four of my other favourite heroes are gods now

I feel like the Tome of Knowledge will be so horribly used in pubs. I really like the item but gosh I can already see it happen. An offlaner having a horrid time or a support just not getting exp for one reason or another is close to level 6 and then the mid goes I NEED IT, buys it as soon as he can and he's like 1200xp from level 10 or some shit.
That said on paper at least it's not as stupid as the Scan function I just don't understand why they added it.

Everything about bloodthorn is utterly ridiculous. It's item compression, teamfight/gank utilitly, and everything about it works on roshan.
Two thirds of the cores in the game will find it at least marginally useful to buy, and those that don't buy it themselves will still benefit from one on the team. It's a caster item to augment physical cores. It's a physical item to augment caster cores. The stats are just this side of being godly. The active is absurd. Both the true strike and the crit bonuses are insane by themselves. The fact that it's an 11 second cooldown means that it's more or less available continously.
Yeah it's expensive, but it's easily a 100% mandatory item to have at least 1 of on every team. It's half of a butterfly stapled to an orchid, with upside.

Blightstone and Wind Lace are both amazing items as well.
Now you can get half a brown boot with your starting items so you still have a MS bonus, but aren't starved for regen. Blightstone stacks with orb of venom, and even together they really don't cost much. Even with the nerf to shadow walk bounty hunter is going to be just as cancerous as ever.
I'm sorry, what is it about scan that's so bad? It doesn't seem very useful at all for an ability with a glyph-like cooldown.

The issue I see is that scan's aoe is just too small. It's really only good for seeing if someone is sitting on a ramp outside roshan. Otherwise it doesn't provide enough coverage to really definitively say anything.
Maybe you'll find someone at a random jungle camp occasionally, but besides roshan positioning minigames, I'm just not seeing it.
