BKB helps against that. Sure they may jump you but you're going to be shooting them with crits and a satanic singing hell's bells and giving you all the health you could ever want.

as drow your damage is completely dependent on not being near someone
bkb means you expect to just manfight someone which if its a melee core you will not win a right click battle (on equal farm and for sure not less) as you will lose most of your damage
the blink is a better item because its the strongest positioning tool in the game
there are games where you need bkb on drow but its not an optimal item choice. similar to ember.

i think myself good at supporting, but as usual, being the support is lame. Thats why nobody wants to do it. Its not as fun as zapping people as zeus, but by god does it raise my MMR.

I usually play agility but shadow shaman makes support quite fun at times.

One of the biggest problems I see is people thinking that they can still farm until the 40 mins mark while avoiding fights and then they bitch and moan when the raxes go down, or getting ganked over and over and not getting the idea to stop going to the same lane. And hero picks aside, something I hate nowdays is the constant ganks to mid (and any lane really), like a friend said "before, it was whoever was the best won mid, now it's a constant 3vs3 circus with roaming heroes trying to get the other mid killed". I know dota is a team game, but I really feel most individual effort means fuck all this patch.

Can be fun if people are not idiots who jump ahead of time then blame you when they die (fuck yourself agg tamadre) and if they actually cooperate in your ganks. Also watch your positioning.

I think flexibility is key in solo queue. I consider myself pretty flexible in that I play almost every hero and role to a decent standard. A jack of all trades, master of none kind of thing, but being able to fill the gaps with the right hero for the job is far more conducive to winning than being one of these one-trick ponies with the 'I want to play THIS role and THIS hero' (or else) mentality. Many games are lost before they start from awful team composition due to this.

Because flavor of the month is a common saying for things that can sometimes even last longer than a month, saying flavor of a couple of months doesnt really sound cool.
