As an Arc Warden player even I think this rapier shit should go
[sp]it's not all that fun to play and getting rid of it would make people see how iffy any other kind of Arc Warden is so he'd get buffs to the base hero and that would make me a happy man[/sp]
I have had my fair share of Wardens that play for the opposite team. Just recently opposed one that fed us obscene amounts of gold with necros, farmed two rapiers and then fed them too. It was so comical I considered he may even be trolling his team, but I think it was seriously his best effort.
1.8k mmr
For those who are wondering that is my ranked MMR:
ngl ive always wanted to play in like 1k or even sub 1k just to see how raw it is
I played once or twice with a 1k friends (I'm 2k)
the first time it felt as easy as hard bots, the enemy team almost never managed to kill me (Plus one of the friends was really good at Io) while in the second game they were more organised and managed to stomp us. So I'd say it varies
i wish Arc warden wasn't just "weak early strong late" taken to its greatest logical extreme.
he really isn't though? flux is amazing early on
I see 2ks forget they have items and forget to use certain abilities regularly that's pretty fucking clueless
I am legitimately curious to try playing in 0-2k. The lowest I've been is when I calibrated at 3.3k and that was years ago. The thing is account boosting and playing outside your skill range ruins games and I am against that.
In fact I think Valve should try to tackle account sharing (enabling boosting) and attempt to punish those who do it, though it is not an easy thing to do.

Has this mmr never changed? Because this pic is, you know, from early 2014 judging by the cropped New Bloom button saying "REDEEM".
I mean I calculated into like 2,5k three years ago and only played normals for those three years
I went to play ranked and stomped people with pudge for 5 games because I dont care about an arbitrary number
ranked mmr would be much better if it had seasons like any other competitive online game, like starcraft
As a 1k that has played at the 2k level
No, there is most certainly not a lot of difference.
The only noticeable differences are raw skill and a couple of game mechanics and items they use that 1ks do not (like manta is more prevalent in 2k)
(and I'm talking about low 1k to low 2k not high 1k to high 2k)

Personally I hate resetting ladders because hitting milestones doesn't feel as good when you know you will have to keep repeating it over and over
Plus in Resetting ladders like hearthstone and LOL you have a hidden mmr anyway that decides your skill level. Valve just decides to show it
Tbh the main reason I'm still in 2K is because I barely played ranked after I calibrated.
I obviously have 8K skills
ive played against an arc warden that only skilled stats and magnetic field (and clone obv) until like level 16 and his clone was a fukin BITCHto deal with (we lost)

thank you sherlock i wasn't asking for a diagnosis i was simply telling leonthefox why he is wrong about the "look at the hero and he explodes" part
Well, an arc warden without bkb is not that hard to deal with if it's attempting to solo push, stun and nukes work good enough.
One of my problems with the hero is, the same problem I have/had with naga, PL and others, people just send the clone without worrying since killing it gives you nohing (even track doesn't work anymore) and never have to show up in the map, ever. Now if the enemy arc warden gets a necro I laugh since I end up getting mad exp from the summons.
I see 2ks forget they have items and forget to use certain abilities regularly that's pretty fucking clueless
I have seen plenty of people at 3000-3800 being clueless as shit and/or doing a lot of totally retarded choices, even seen some 4k players like that.
Like it or not, pubs are pubs, there will always be people tilting, being clueless or playing badly, no matter the bracket.
I can't imagine anything worse than 4k.
he really isn't though? flux is amazing early on
That's
that's it though
That's all the hero has early on. He's bottom third for strength gain, bottom third for agility gain with 0 base armour, ~48 attack damage base, and has no way to actually protect himself outside of Magnetic Field which only works against autoattacks.
i personally know i belong in 3k but i am trying my best to improve to get to 4k even though this game will probably one day give me a heartattack
I was being sarcastic in my last post.
However, if I consider my mmr seriously I think I belong in the 2.6-2.7k bracket, rather than my current 2.3K
there are some pretty weird, idiotic people in dota. We had a guy by the name of Morgan Freeman immediately call carry before the game even loaded up. He quickly goes to Sven and says he'll pick last. Seeing sven and using my intuition i pick dazzle because the others had already picked carries or nothing at all and i knew they would be losing gold until someone got randomed. then, the sven starts freaking out asking why i picked dazzle, saying how dazzles had ruined his other games so i would naturally ruin that one. I told him that was just assumption and he didn't know me, but he didn't listen. And i guess because he didn't want to lane with me, a dirty dazzle picker, he went jungle LC. As soon as we got into the game he muted everyone except the sand king. We won because the other team was bad at everything, and later on the LC unmuted me because i was actually doing a good job of keeping the place warded and people alive. At the end when we won i told him that it was just assumption, and right before he left he said the timings on my item buys were all wrong. I swear, the people you find in dota
It's not just a Dota thing, it is a general videogame thing. The Internet allows anyone to stay unknown so you can be a cunt with almost not repercutions, and there is people that only excels at videogames as they don't do anything more at all, so they are pretty experienced. Put those two together and you got yourself a guy that tells everyone how to do everything without the risk of having his/her teeth kicked in.
Just mute as well, helps a bit.
I dunno why I even replied, it was just a well known rant. Forgive me, for I am ill and mad at that people :v:
There's honestly not a difference dude
I know that.
But it's a step forward, which is what counts c:
Went back to ranked after nearly a month of not touching it, and damn, it was laughable at how bad it was, they can have vision of the enemy the whole time and someone else warning them about it, and they won't even move.
Or maybe on these last weeks of unranked I got used to getting people who at least try.

I saw the fabled Arc Warden today, by 30 minutes he had his double seek out and kill me whenever I left base (was playing Grondor).
My daily challenge is Necro
Time for the enemy team to have like 3 glimmer capes even though my team never buys even one against him

Boss of this lane.
I know I shouldn't be greedy and get wards/detection if my support is not getting them, but if I see them rushing an aghs with brown boots, I wanna tell them to go fuck themselves :v:
No wonder people get away with SB all the time.
Yeah now i remembered why I quit ranked: game is over the second a set of rax falls, also most of the time, useless falls short to describe the majority of my team.
It's fucking retarded when I don't have space and 3+ of my teammates have space but refuse to buy or carry truesight.

I'm on a game with a guy who's intentionally feeding, over a support "kill stealing" (support was really damn pissed trying to explain him he still gets gold out of kills)
And holy fuck this guy is either a very good troll or a genuine peruvian

He's just being a good citizen and upholding his country's reputation
edit:
can we talk about how fucking stupid Valve's system for mixing parties with solo queue is
the percentage of games where it is a fucking circus due to imbalance, trolling or clowns trying out their new Sweet™ laning strat
