My team had 5 melee heroes, and I went mid as Bristleback against Dragon Knight.
I somehow don't loose mid and manage to ball out of control ending the game with 0 deaths.
This was probably one of my best performances in any match.
Is Bristleback a good mid hero?
Buying a bottle and trying to get the runes seemed to help me spam quills.

bristle is a good mid hero, its in fact his best lane since he gets too starved in the offlane to be of any use to the team
bottle is very good considering his mana pool is smaller so you restore a larger % with bottle charges and his spells are cheap
you should never die to dragon knights mid unless he has some crazy rune luck anyway. that hero just farms with breath
ur items suck though you could easily get damage items when that far ahead and 2 position bristle. consider: no vlads, no guard, SnY, basher instead

Something that always bugged me about this image was that the stock images used don't match the scenario of the text.
Like, "first blood" and the Weaver is level 15 in the picture.
Maybe that's just me and my over-scruntizing, but oh well.

It seems like ever since they halved the damage/cooldown & added the gold/xp bounty he has NEVER done single fucking thing besides being worthy of a laugh every other game you see him picked. . .
Sounds silly, but I really hate this tendency players on my server have to recall the courier when it's midway to someone, without even warning you.
"shut up you are calling the courier every 30 seconds" yeah wonderful, someone is calling the courier often, better send it back to base when it's about to deliver something so it can take even more time to arrive.

you'd think so but I've actually had games where everyone picks heroes usually associated with early game ganking and you get shit like Zeus/Bounty Hunter (at a level nobody will play him as a support)/Nature's Prophet/Pudge/Undying/Axe etc. and so you have a baller laning stage but it falls to shit because nobody can actually carry and also everyone refuses to support so you have 5 cores but nobody can actually do anything with the incredibly split farm and a walking courier 10 minutes in
