You no longer need damage items since his infernal blade or whatever the fuck its called does a fuckstupid amount of damage on its own. The nerf to scorched earth wasn't that bad and you can still easily offlane him. The additional hard camps and swapped radiant hard camp makes devour alot stronger for offlane Doom. The changes to jungle creeps hurt his jungling tho. It used to be if you got a good early ability you would eat the small cent or hellbear instead of the big creep but since they have the mag resist passives now, you'll gain those.
We should thank Valve for firing James. Now he doesn't need to be embarrassed for being in this trainwreck.
