Meanwhile the hunting rifle is literally a joke on survival difficulty once you get literally any other long range oriented gun
The ROF is just too pathetic for the low damage, not even worth using on raiders
Pretty much 1 shots supermutants, and in my current game I've spent a lot of time in Boston where the supermutants are, I have a .38 plinking rifle for everything that can fall apart and a .45 combat rifle for everything else. The hunting rifle isn't as good against deathclaw as I wish it would be but I have not been able to put enough points into sniper perks, I have been dumping them into all the other things I need like hacking, picking, leadership and PA
I can see how it'd be bad on survival though. I wish you could find the .50 cal easier because i be got tons of it and my current gun is not as powerful
Requesting a mod that adds the spiky elbow guard from the normal and heavy metal armor arms into the medium one.
That's a shame because NV's radio is a LOT better than FO3's, IMO.
NV has a great soundtrack of songs that I might actually listen to on my own time (Johnny Guitar aside) while FO3 just feels like "it's old fallout music!"

I will never forget the pre-Fallout 4 hype and watching all the convention streams, and seeing this absolutely disgustingly obese (seriously it was bad) girl dressed in a blue vault suit dress, and someone immediately posted this song.
holy shit someone else know my pain
No Holotape Tease - Texture Replacement

This is a simple texture edit that desaturates that pesky little bright carton by 75%.
I found five texture files with this nuisance in them.
If I missed any let me know the location and I'll hunt it down!
Mod edits the "GroundTrash01_d.dds" in Architecture\Buildings,
"DecalDebrise04_d.dds", "DecalDebrise05_d.dds", "ExtRubblePlain01_d.dds", and "rubtrashpiles02_d.dds" in SetDressing\Rubble.

Any of you know how to create a texture replacement in FO4Edit? I've managed to create a new FormID, the item does work in game, the problem is just getting it to load the correct texture.
You have to create a new material that says which selection of textures to use. Best way to do it is using Material Editor. You then have to create a Material Swap in FO4Edit, which you need to put the material you want to place in, and then the new material underneath it (which should make more sense if you look at Material Swaps in FO4Edit).
After that, you just need to put the Material Swap in the right section underneath the model path in your item. If it's a clothing/armour piece, you'll need to create a new Armor Addon from the one your item uses by default, and do the same thing with the Material Swap there. That's so that the Material Swap works in first/third person, and doesn't replace the default textures.

Are you talking about the E3 presentation stream? Because I remember them interviewing some fans outside the convention center in the leadup to the reveal and there was a chubby girl in a vault-themed dress that people were absolutely ripping on and she wasn't "disgustingly obese" at all.
whats the point of the boston airport settlement
I can't put a settlement beacon down, shops, food. It sucks too because It's such a cool area with FLAT ground

It's for the BoS questline.
I kinda wish there were more pre-war and during-war recordings and logs. I can't be the only one that enjoys reading about upcoming events and then some panic stricken person updates the terminal or records themselves freaking out and wondering whats next. (The Boston Mayoral Shelter was a good example)

You don't have to put down food in every settlement. Or can you even put a supply line there?
I got like 10 settlements with 0 food production, meanwhile Abernathy farm and Sanctuary is producing like 90 foods both.
How do you guys lay out your supply lines?

Like the survivalist's logs. Those were the best part of Honest Hearts.
There should be a Fallout prequel that takes place 10 years after the Great War
Bethesda would probably love to do it since it means they don't have to care about lore
No the best part of HH was getting 10 minutes in before shooting follows-chalk in the face.

Oh for real? idk it let me start building before i got to that part i guess, coz I can't bring any settlers in yet

It's there for the brotherhood of steel quests, its got enough room for the mountain of generators you need to power the molecular relay hijackermajigy

I put a lot of thought into trying to make an actual supply chain, with no crossed lines.
Although it looks like a fucking constellation

Doesn't Bethesda have a policy of always advancing the timeline forward for every new installment in a franchise? I can't remember where I heard that.
speaking of Supply lines I should REALLY make one for my settlements
anyone else disapointed that gold bars don't weigh a million pounds(?) unlike deadmoney?
anyone else disapointed that gold bars don't weigh a million pounds(?) unlike deadmoney?
I would if the gold bars were worth an entire economy like NV
-snip, stupid raging-
I don't bother trying to manage supply lines since it's a pain in the ass to even find the Provisioner to change it.
Replaying Operation Anchorage in TTW and I've forgotten how abysmally stupid this entire DLC is. At least Mothership Zeta gave you some NPCS to talk to and places to explore, OA is just garbage at every level.
On my first playthrough, my supply lines converged on [sp]the Castle[/sp] and Taffington Boathouse because they're within 3 settlements from every other settlement (with one or two exceptions).
What
You literally just select any settler and set up a supply route, how is that a pain in the ass?
I meant finding the Provisioner for already set-up lines.
Help, i've made a monster:

I think they just said that about the Elder Scrolls, but It'd be safe to assume the same goes for Fallout... on the other hand I can't remember where I heard that either :/

Put Mama Murphy's hat on her and begin hatching your plots to become the Emperor of the Commonwealth.
Why would you need to do that?
You're over-complicating things for no reason, there is literally no reason to go hunt down the provisioners, every settlement only needs to be connected once.
In my game, Preston's radiant quests seemed to always tell me to go speak to the one guy in the settlement I flagged as the supply line. I either had to track him down across the wastes or just wait for hours at the settlement as the marker on the world map drew closer.
