[t]http://i.imgur.com/8x364z9.png[/t] Am I too late to show our supply line routes? Side note: I didn't realize how warped the pip boy screen is until I tried to line up screenshots of it. [editline]24th December 2015[/editline] Also castle was supposed to go to the island but I moved the caravan and never replaced him. [editline]whatever[/editline] Oh I just realized that I have two going to the alleyway.
Doesn't Bethesda have a policy of always advancing the timeline forward for every new installment in a franchise? I can't remember where I heard that.
I hope they realize that a policy like that is only going to mean that the "the state of the world makes more sense if it was just after the bombs" thing is going to make less and less sense with each installment in the franchise. As time goes on things like the sheer volume of salvage still available to find, the state of buildings still standing, the amount of vegetation, the population, etc. will inevitably become jarring when examined with even a cursory amount of thought. [editline]25th December 2015[/editline]
I think the ghouls in Fallout 4 look fine, honestly. The non-ferals appear to have at least been TRYING to keep their appearance up, Fallout 3 / NV's look like they've been ripping their own faces apart. They're desiccated rather than rotten, drying and pruning up as their bodily fluids leave them and their old, rad-poisoned organs struggle to make more, getting worse and worse as time goes on until they're just husks like the ferals, which fall apart at even the slightest of injury and (according to medical logs) have "blood as thick as paste" from such dehydration.
While that makes sense, it's kind of funny that you note that because it would make more sense for desiccated ghouls to live in the Mojave and the more rotten-looking ones to be in a wet place like Boston.
Is there even a point to doing this instead of just making all your routes originate from Sanctuary?
No. But it looks nicer IMO. Also it kind of built itself. I was just building settlements up and I moved from one to another using the first person to show up from the beacon as a caravan to the next place I was going to work on. [editline]24th December 2015[/editline] I should nix the line from sanctuary to castle and make one from bunker hill to castle instead. And then nix the extra line from the farms to the alley. [editline]24th December 2015[/editline] I wish there was an easier way to change lines. Finding the guy randomly and following him until he shows up at a workshop is a giant pain in the ass.

ZephyrWarrior's Power Overhaul is getting an update soon According to him, it has
Featuring things such as a change to the targeting visor (now Threat Identification Visor) to highlight friendlies in green and disable it with your weapon holstered, new Power Armor piece mods, new Power Armor mod categories and of course tons and tons of paints which now cost nothing to change. As of this update to my knowledge this is the most diverse Power Armor overhaul there is featuring over 65 unique paint jobs, most with versions across all four Power Armor types. Development is constantly under way and new skins are always being worked on. :) As of now v0.8.0 is uploading
They really need to get Xbox mod support out. It's killing me not being able to use all these cool mods.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4314/? Being able to turn off scanlines is the best part about it. Well that and all the customization you can do.
Late on the conversation, but it's very obvious that the VATS system was designed for consoles. It's very easy to select areas and etc. with my XB1 controller, but I'm lost when it use it on keyboard.
It's always been like that. VATS on F3 and F:NV was always horrible to use with a keyboard and mouse.
Is there even a point to doing this instead of just making all your routes originate from Sanctuary?
You'd need a ton of settlers in Sanctuary and then you would need to turn them all into provisioners, which is no good if you want to actually use Sanctuary to do farming or whatever. Your population would all get spent on supply lines and leave nobody else to do other work. Also, keeping your supply lines to the shortest routes between settlements, at least for me, helps a lot with letting you be able to find your provisioners in case you want to change their job or give them a new gun or something.
Wait what? I never found VATS difficult to use on PC. A/D to select target, W/S to select body part (always starts on body, W for head quickly). Even before I really got used to it I was able to make multiple calculated selections very fast.
I don't even use the keys to select body parts. I just put my mouse on them and clicked.
Mouse wheel also works for selecting body parts in VATS, and Q lets you mark the selected one without having to click on it with the mouse
I don't even use the keys to select body parts. I just put my mouse on them and clicked.
Yeah, but dealing with a horde of feral ghouls is pretty easy when you get the Q > W > Q > A/D > W > Q (etc.) reflex down. You can target six of them in like three seconds.
Man, I'd love to see a mod that uses the wiring system for, like, ropes with lights or flags hanging off them. Having wires sway in the wind would be nice too, though that'd probably just cause clipping problems with wires that are going along walls.

First settlement that really made me think vertically.
How am I failing intimidation speech check donning a full suit of X-01 power armor Like I can probably kill that guy with half a finger
How am I failing intimidation speech check donning a full suit of X-01 power armor Like I can probably kill that guy with half a finger
Same reason muggers wearing only leather boots and holding a simple iron dagger will try to rob the dragonborn, who is wearing dragonbone armor while wielding a mace given to them by a literal Deity and riding a horses spirit summoned from the underworld.
So, just got Fallout 4, anyone want to throw some Mod recommendations at me?
So for some fucking shit bug I can't save [sp]Kent[/sp] during the silver shroud quest, he just gets killed whenever I reach the second floor of the hospital and the raiders start fighting with the goddamn robots.
I fixed this by loading a save before killing Northy, going to the hostpital and killing all the robots I left alive last time I was there searching for a magnet for the BOS (since there's was a weird glitch where they only spawn when you go through the hole that gets you to the entrance, and if I went back and killed them my weapon damage values on the pipboy went nuts). [editline]25th December 2015[/editline] Oh my fucking god fucking youtube I'm just checking a youtube video where companions comment on the pillars of the community guy's scam and on the suggestions bar I see: "X CHARACTER IS A SYNTH-FALLOUT 4" God fucking damnit
patiently waiting for a mod that slows feral ghouls the fuck down
Holy shit what am I reading here? Talking about the appearance of ghouls, FO4 ghouls are kind of bland-looking imo. I like their aggressiveness, but they kind of look like ugly trolls carved from wax. [editline]25th December 2015[/editline]
Same reason muggers wearing only leather boots and holding a simple iron dagger will try to rob the dragonborn, who is wearing dragonbone armor while wielding a mace given to them by a literal Deity and riding a horses spirit summoned from the underworld.
Or, you're the delusional pack leader of a primitive gang of Ork boyz, and instead of investigating Helgen and so on, you choose to roam aimlessly in the caverns and woods, stealing food and alcohol from wherever you can find, to survive.. I mean yeah, I'd get my shit destroyed by an actual Dragonborn, but first you have to find the right cave I dwell in, at the right time. So, ha! (Then again, your Dragonborn probably had the ability to Fast Travel, whereas my miserable Ork boyz, did not.)

But that doesn't seem like something they're interested in, in the least. They just want Mad Max post apocalyptic shenanigans, which would work way better much farther back in the timeline. Either way it isn't as if they haven't made games that didn't advance the timeline before, although those may not count since they were spin-offs like Redguard.
Doing the Silver Shroud quest is fun, especially since you get to upgrade the suit every now and then afterwards.
Doing the Silver Shroud quest is fun, especially since you get to upgrade the suit every now and then afterwards.
Would've been better if there were more intimidation checks, like the one at the end of the line. As it is, it's still pretty much just your standard "go here kill these guys" quest, just with a way cooler premise. Wish they did more with it.
So the guy making the NCR veteran ranger armour is also doing the Enclave power armour from Fallout 3 It's in early stages, but you guys know what the final product will look like.
