Looking some more at Fallout 4's artwork, why did they ever choose to leave this motherfucker out? [t]http://i.imgur.com/2CA4Nf2.jpg[/t] Not only did they leave out one of the most iconic enemies in the series (that's been in every game so far iirc, not really sure about Tactics and BoS, but eh), but I just love how this redesign looks like an updated version of the classic design. I really loved Fallout 3's take on their design, but this is just so much better, this really looks like a fucking mutated abomination.
i HATE centaurs fuck those things every time i come across them, they're the reason i install 1 hit kill mods fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them
If they put Centaurs in, then we'd have another creature with no explanation as to why it's there.
If they put Centaurs in, then we'd have another creature with no explanation as to why it's there.
Better than the lackluster Mutant Hounds that replaced them in any case, explanation or not.
Better than the lackluster Mutant Hounds that replaced them in any case, explanation or not.
At least the mutant hounds have a reason. Ya know, like the super soldier of guard dogs. Same reason they were experimenting with super mutants. But why would the institute, or anybody for that matter throw a bunch of random animals and people into FEV and make those things?
So Criken made a Fallout 4 video [sp]I lost it at *better life*[/sp]
As per usual, the concept art tells tales of a much, much cooler game than what we end up getting.
Speaking of some more Fallout 4 artwork, about these two pages; [t]http://i.imgur.com/xInMVF4.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/WO7TDAH.jpg[/t] Apperantly they even had an actual model for the Pip-Boy 1.0 and it even features the original Pip-Boy guy. That makes me think; Why not make it an super rare Pip-Boy replacement you can find later in the game or get for a quest or something, like the Pimp-Boy 3 Billion. It would have been so awesome if you were able to wear it in the game. Oh well, we'll see what modding brings, atleast we got a detailed page on how it looks, works and fits togheter and such. As for the second page, I just absolutely love the propaganda posters of it. For some reason they remind me so much of the Bioshock series, of those racist Columbia posters, and a bit of "The Slacker is NOT your Friend" posters found in Rapture. Either way, would love to have a full print of that "Spotted a Commie Devil" for against my wall.
Concept art is still just that, concept art. You can't expect all the good ideas from concept phase to get in the game.
You don't have to tell me, that's pretty much common knowledge. But reason I picked out these few pieces of concept art (Same for the Centaur) is because I really don't get they didn't make it into the final game. I can guess why with lots of other art seen in the artbook, but these look pretty much like final game material.
You made it clear the lack of explanation for super mutants was a big deal so why do you complain about centaurs not being in the game when there would be even less reasons for them to be around ? Also the pipboy model 1 was used for the intro.

Also the pipboy model 1 was used for the intro.
If they were in game they would have been given a reason for existing, perhaps as failed Institute experiments with animals given dead animals were within the cages of some of the failed subjects, perhaps they tested the FEV on animals FIRST instead of straight up trying it on captured humans and it eventually degraded into straight up human experimentation, perhaps the Institute attempted to try the effects of FEV on various animals and the results ended with significant failures, but also eventually ended up with a new strain of Centaur in the FEV program that were then just let loose like the Super Mutants were because it wasn't the eventual effect they wanted and they would show up as a rare sight in some of the super mutant strongholds as a high level replacement for Mutant Dogs. Seriously it's not that hard a stretch. And about that Pipboy, that wasn't in game footage so the model wasn't used, that was live action footage.
So I max the game with 65-90 fps, but whenever I enter a city I get 20-35 fps on lowest settings. Why is this happening to me. Got 30 minutes left untill I can refund, and I would very like to play this game.
I mean it's literally called the Model 1, not that it had an ingame model.
I mean it's literally called the Model 1, not that it had an ingame model.
there's a 3D model of it quoted in your last post [editline]27th December 2015[/editline] second to last I mean :v:
65-90..? You have unlocked the 60 FPS cap? Also, can you even buy it again after refunding it?
Search for the line iPresentInterval=1, and change it to iPresentInterval=0 in Fallout4Pref.ini in your documents folder.
Never, ever unlock your fps past 60 in a gamebryo/creation engine game It's a recipe for disaster and will break pretty much everything.
Iirc fps going over 60 constantly can fuck up your game. [editline]27th December 2015[/editline] :ninja:
I unlocked my fps. But my computer isn't the best so I average at 70-90 fps. It's not a problem until loading screens happen in which my fps jumps to 300-400 and the loading animations play out at like 10x speed.

Also turn god rays to low, they look more or less the same to high. That's what I did and the game runs perfectly for me now.
I unlocked the framerate once, and the lockpicking/hacking minigames went apeshit
I unlocked the framerate once, and the lockpicking/hacking minigames went apeshit
I found that you get used to this pretty quick. It just comes down to tapping more than holding. I personally don't mind it because like I said, my fps doesn't go too extremely high in normal gameplay but I can see how it would make someone unhappy.
It's time for another poll! If you have done more playthroughs with different factions just choose the one you morally went with (as opposed to roleplaying as a character/just for seeing a different ending) Feel free to explain why you chose that faction between all the others too.
Railroad was great until the end fuck the end
So I max the game with 65-90 fps, but whenever I enter a city I get 20-35 fps on lowest settings. Why is this happening to me. In my first playthrough, I beat the game as the minutemen, but I just didn't like the ending. So I joined the Brotherhood of Steel, and that felt more satisfying than the minutemen.
Oh no, CBBE left the LL and is now on the Nexus. A picture of a shaved vagina will never -not- be on the nexus front page again will it?
Better than the lackluster Mutant Hounds that replaced them in any case, explanation or not.
look i know the mutant hounds are hella boring but props to bethseda for showing some restraint and not just redesigning the centaur again
they attack and run way too fucking fast given their decrepit, rotting state. they attack so fast that even in VATS their swing speed looks normal. up against a large group of them you're basically guaranteed to take a bunch of hits/rads unless you fight them at extreme range or hide on top of a truck or something. it's especially shitty since most of their encounters are in cramped indoors, like the comic store
I don't like their appearance either but their AI is a vast improvement. When it's possible I want a mod that re-implements the ghouls from FO3 in some way out of my own preference.
