It's kind of sad nobody in the BOS notices my t-51 power armor, I wish they had a line or two of people saying "wow you're still wearing that old thing" or "I can't believe you got one of those relics to work" or "hey look its a throwback"

The irony that the companions are better developed characters than the main character.
I miss my hellfire armor
I am hoping it gets added in a dlc would love to see a beefier version of hellfire.
What I don't get is after Broken Steel, they had a shitton of Enclave resources (which they also used to build their airship) including Enclave Power Armor by the dozens. Why the hell are none of them wearing that with an Enclave paintjob since their T-60 is obviously so inferior to the X-02, and they had enough of it laying around that they could use the spare ones as dinnerware.
Figure they probably would've painted over them with BoS paintjobs. But still, the X-02 should've been in the game damnit, along with the hellfire.
I miss my hellfire armor
Well I did find this earlier today on the /vg/ thread http://imgur.com/a/XeBzM Soon
We all seem to be forgetting about the best armor and that is motherfuckin' Tesla Armor (and I mean fallout 3) Also I'd love to have something like the Prototype Medic Armor.
We all seem to be forgetting about the best armor and that is motherfuckin' Tesla Armor (and I mean fallout 3)
I mean we would have that. If they bothered to model some Tesla Coils for the Tesla upgrade.

Same with the medic armor.
My advice is forcing adaptive vsync using the nvidia control panel (but don't change iPresentInterval=1 to 0), setting the game as high priority on the task manager, and using gforce experience to optimize it. Also turn god rays to low, they look more or less the same to high. That's what I did and the game runs perfectly for me now.
I'm using Radeon so I can only use the "Dynamic vsync", problem is that I don't know if it's the same.
Well I did find this earlier today on the /vg/ thread http://imgur.com/a/XeBzM Soon
aw yessss, those pillar legs Hellfire power armor was the only good thing about the FO3 Enclave's power armor (though their uniforms were pretty cool too)

What I don't get is why they aren't making use of all of the Plasma weapons they would have collected, when lore wise Plasma weapons are better, but instead retain they use of Laser Weaponry. Either that or Bethesda wanted an Armour that was like the iconic armour they used in the Fallout 3 and fuck everything else and fuck all the technology they gained post broken steel, fuck it.

They're more precise and functional, plus use relatively cheap and manageable ammo. Also a BoS Knight in power armor with a laser rifle is pretty iconic. Same goes for not using Enclave armor, it's brand recognition. (also, Enclave armor is badass evil armor designed for badass evil people. The BoS is supposed to have a more knightly/paladinny look)
and didn't want to [sp]kill danse[/sp]
You don't have to. The game gives you a way around it, [sp]and suprisingly that asshole Maxson listens to reason. [/sp]
I'm surprised I've not seen an archer-like play through yet, sure you have to go through a lot to get the gun but I bet you could make a good sterling Archer in the character creation section
I pretty much love everything about Fallout 4's Power Armor system, from the way you can modify it to how you enter it and wraps around you like it's actual powered armour, it's all so great. The only thing I do not like, and that's actually not something that's connected to the design of the Power Armor system, is that they give it you so early in the game, litterly the first quest you get a fresh suit of T-45 Power Armor. Personally I'm not a big fan of those moments when the game puts you into this power fantasy as situation where you get in the first mission some Power Armor, and a nice minigun, and you get to shoot all the raiders into swiss cheese, and eventually you get to fight one of the end game enemies to conclude your power fantasy. Oh and then ofcourse you get to keep it in case of moments when you're in need of an easy fix when the game becomes too hard in the early game. Personally, I want to work hard for my Power Armor to get it, and feel satisfied once all that hard work paid off to get to that point, and I can finally step in my hard earned Power Armor. I want the game to challenge me and push me around instead of handing it out like water. Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and New Vegas did this exactly by having these quests you need to do before you get the Power Armor. No, you don't get the nice looking armour right off the bat, you need to work hard for it to get it.
That kinda leads into the one thing that bothers me about power armor in 4. The other games made such a big deal about needing to learn how to use it. To the point where the NCR had to strip down suits to make them useable without training. But then in Fallout 4, any Joe Blow can use power armor. They could've forced you to get that training as a way of locking it away in the early game.

If a new explanation for the NCR salvaged armor is really needed, it could be that they don't have the tools or knowledge to maintain power armor, so it's just easier to remove all the complicated bits. edit: I don't miss power armor training, it felt extremely contrived and limiting, not to mention it forced you to do the main quest If I find a cool set of ultra murder armor, I want to put it on goddamnit

It was a piece of lore designed to keep people away from Power Armour because they completely saturated the game with it. I'm glad it's gone really, Fallout 1 & 2 didn't need it and nor does the Fallout universe, the problem is Bethesda are still handing out Power Armour like fucking candy, it's back to how it should be, but they are still treating it like a grab back of Power Armours ala Fallout 3.

How do I oppose The Institute without X6-88 turning hostile? I know people have done it but he shoots me on sight now.
Several characters throughout the serious make a point that you can't just jump in power armor and have trouble handling it, but learn overtime. If you're untrained and you try to use it, it could kill you.
And now that's retconned, they retconned the retcon so to speak.
And now that's retconned, they retconned the retcon so to speak.
I realize it was kind of a stupid post and replaced it.

I thought when I first got the power armour "I'll take this out and wreck some raiders, it'll be great." I died almost immediately because the confidence the power armour gave me was false, it took only a handful of shots from a basic laser pistol to break the leg and torso of the armour and a couple more to lay me out. To make the T-45 half way decent you have to invest a lot of valuable materials into it, which would probably be better served going into some T-51 armour instead.
