I never really got the criticism for getting the your first power armor and minigun early. The t-45 is weak and rusty, you only get half of a core, and the minigun only has 500 bullets. Most of that gets stuff get spent and worn down by the Deathclaw. I remember I didn't start to use the PA until after I found 5 full cores and a second suit because I couldn't just sustain it that early. I personally liked the moment because it gave my a taste of what I'll eventually be able to do.
That kinda leads into the one thing that bothers me about power armor in 4. The other games made such a big deal about needing to learn how to use it. To the point where the NCR had to strip down suits to make them useable without training. But then in Fallout 4, any Joe Blow can use power armor. They could've forced you to get that training as a way of locking it away in the early game.
Well the male protag is ex military so handwaivey-already-knows-this backstory, the woman protag a lot of people want to say was also military so there's an explanation, as for everyone else it's just a gameplay mechanic
yeah I did that and ended up leaving bos 2 minutes later when they asked me to [sp]destroy the railroad[/sp]
Eh, personally could care less about [sp]the railroad myself. Especially considering they do exactly the same shit as the BoS (wanting to wipe out all the other factions, blow up the institute, etc.), but in the name of "Freeing slaves"[/sp]
I figure this is the place to ask this I am thinking of picking up this vinyl figure: I usually don't get these types of things, especially the funko pops because I'm not a fan of the face style, but I don't mind a miniaturized version of a full suit of brother of steel power armor. Does anyone here have one of these, and can they talk about the quality of the thing?
I wanted to buy a Patrick Stewart one but now I can't find them, but the fallout ones all look pretty good for a shelf filler

How do they look in comparison to nendoroids? About the same size?
Hey I just found two of those concept art posters in game, the beware the red death ones are in the memory den
not sure about the fallout ones but pop vinyls come in several different sizes. I think 6 inches tall is the biggest they come

Holy shit. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6732/? Snap and build bunkers.
All the building mods that are coming out make me question the amount of effort Bethesda put into their side of the building system. There is no way that settlement building was a 2nd thought because working with the Minutemen requires you to work with settlements.

(Yes it is official) I'm quite disappointed to be honest but if you look at it from a distance it looks very appealing.
Well I finally got around to managing my settlements. Invested into Local Leader perks for obviously. Trying to specialize my settlements since they can share resources. Greentop, Tenpines, and The Slog are all focusing into food. Sanctuary has some generous mutfruits plantings though. I'd use Starlight Drive In as a trading hub but I've still got radiation in the puddle in the middle so I'm kinda ignoring it for a while. Also don't have enough caps to go crazy on stores sadly. Any suggestions on the "best" way to manage settlements?
Search for the line iPresentInterval=1, and change it to iPresentInterval=0 in Fallout4Pref.ini in your documents folder.
I didn't ask how to unlock FPS myself tho, because don't even want to :-)

Stopping any future production just gives their job an ending point. While I'm not enamoured of the way the faction is handled, that particular criticism's never made a lot of sense to me. The fact that ALL of the endings have to involve blowing the Institute up is quite stupid though, it only really makes sense for the BoS. [/sp]

Makes the watering hole a pretty nice place for a purifier or two.
Or be like me and jam like 5 in there for good measure :v:
Well yea, but maybe you're like me and know the enemy will never expect aquatic turrets
Looking some more at Fallout 4's artwork, why did they ever choose to leave this motherfucker out? [t]http://i.imgur.com/2CA4Nf2.jpg[/t] Not only did they leave out one of the most iconic enemies in the series (that's been in every game so far iirc, not really sure about Tactics and BoS, but eh), but I just love how this redesign looks like an updated version of the classic design. I really loved Fallout 3's take on their design, but this is just so much better, this really looks like a fucking mutated abomination.
Oh hell no, centaurs are fucking nightmares.
The irony that the companions are better developed characters than the main character.
Well Fallout was supposed to be an open-ended RPG, wasn't it? Can't really have both now can you. :v: But then again with the route they seem to be taking I guess that's no longer the case. Now it's more like a linear-RPG in the sense of, here's who you play as, now go decide who likes you via a few prompts and who doesn't via killing a person or two.

Don't think I'd ever consider getting one, even of something I really like. I'm usually okay with super deformed or chibi style, but the POP! figures take it way too far in my opinion. When you've morphed something so much it's become distracting, you've gone wrong somewhere.

I don't know but I find Cait to be the worst companion (or maybe at least for me). Everytime I try to do something, she bitches about it.Even when I want to trade with her or picking up shit.Cait is such a bitch.I find MacCready to be a nice and friendly guy through.
I feel like they designed Cait to be as bitchy as possible to appeal to people who are into that for whatever reason.
I think I found an easter egg, there's an eyebot roaming down the highway by the crashed airliner in the glow, it looks a lot like the ed-e trailer for NV

[t]http://i.imgur.com/lpkoN94.jpg[/t] as to quality, it's been in a computer who's CPU runs at 60C and who's videocard often runs at 80c. And it's still standing pretty.
There's a few eyebots in the game. Hell there's one in Diamond City.
Ya, but it's the only one in the glowing sea, and just happens to be rolling down one of the only surviving highways in there. Either it's a really good coincidence, or an easter egg.
Is there a mod/way to make companions shut the hell up when in a settlement? Strong is by far the worst offender of this.
