Yeah Strong doesn't shut the fuck up.
The entire time I was crafting, on the other side of the wall he just kept talking
I thought it was just because I was near him but I walked away and he was still going
Is there a mod/way to make companions shut the hell up when in a settlement?
Strong is by far the worst offender of this.
just do what I do and send them all to sanctuary so they can bother preston instead
I took it, at least if you picked to be male, that part of your military experience included power armor training and hence why you can just jump into a suit willy nilly.
Though the fact that the female main character(since she apparently was a lawyer rather than in the military) and apparently every human and synth humanoid can use it as well kind of hurts that theory.

I guess everyone in Boston had to pass a test similar to the Driving test with Power armor :v:
i kinda wish you could just send everyone in sanctuary somewhere else
like fuck i lived here TWO-HUNDRED YEARS before you stop pointlessly banging your hammers on everything and whining at me
stupid fucking wanderer song comes on pandora every station, every station, after a hundred or so songs. i have to assume it's all part of some insidious promotion.
you can get rid of the rads in starlight by scrapping all the barrels. Makes the watering hole a pretty nice place for a purifier or two.
Yeah turns out I missed a few barrels. Now it's a center for water production, and when I have the caps I hope to turn it into a sort of trading hub. I'm perpetually short on caps and I can't seem to make any money since I blow what I get on more ammo.

Investing in at least 2 Luck and taking Scrounger and Fortune Finder can fix both of those problems. Granted, lower tiers result in low amounts of caps and mostly .38 ammo, but they add up.
Also, the 100+ pre-war money in the bank in Lexington respawns every few days. Pre-war money may not be worth quite as much as it was in 3/NV, but selling it and using the profits for small amounts of good rather than caps on hand can help as well.

"Oh youuuu"
Prewar money also has no weight, so you can stockpile it as a caps substitute until you get a fresh water farm and break the economy completely.

I prefer the alternative currency, jet. Super cheap and easy to make. Did you know that at 10 cha, selling 12 jet will get you 200 shotgun rounds?
I also use .38 as currency these days. Basically just more chances for caps, since they're everywhere and are 1:1 to the cap even with max CHA and barter perks.
You can find like 30+ at a time with just scrounger 2, in one out of every ten containers or so you search. I tend to exchange .38 for all of a vendor's on hand caps whenever I happen to be nearby, and I've still got almost 10,000 of them knocking around waiting to be spent.
I wanted to post the gift my younger brother got/made for me, it was really nice of him. You can make a really nice gift even if you don't have a lot!

The Helmet is all hand sewn and stuffed
(and ye I know that x01 came out after the war, he was just unaware and knew its my favorite helmet)
Thanks Trev!
I'm around 4 hours-in in Fallout 4 and I constantly find myself going over the carry weight limit... Any tips on what to keep and sell or trash?
Trash everything, if you find yourself low on dosh sell prewar money and cigarette packs since they're worth quite the caps and don't have materials that are too valuable/useful.
You can also spend more points into strengh and mod your armor pieces to give more carry weight.

you may be carrying too much food/chems
i remember having to empty out my AID tab because it took half of my inventory's weight, and realized how much of the food and chems i never used and ended up making a fortune.
transfer all the trash you pickup to whatever your main hub/settlement is for crafting gear and weapons.
radstag meat when cooked gives you an extra 25 pound carry weight so carry those around with you if you're struggling. or carry alcohol like whisky and bourbon.
when crafting armor you should look towards giving its misc mod a pocketed/deep pocketed mod to carry more stuff. you can also simply just level up your strength.
deposit crafting materials as often as you can. Dont load up on armor and arms. Caps arent really needed for much unless you REALLY want something. Youll be up to your neck in caps within no time either way.
I cheated to get over with weight limit problem and I still have some problem with it.

I really do have a mental problem.
Yzma built for herself a cozy box house.

Here she is, looking as pretty as a plastic surgery done with a sandblaster.

hoard aluminum, ceramic, rubber and any other materials you find in electronics
if you're having problems with carry weight dump all your mods in a workbench or something
they weigh 0.5 each and you'll probably be carrying a zillion of the things
Do loose mods have any use actually? Most of my main guns have the top tier mods and all the loose ones are worse...
Also 20 hours into the game I realized that Dogmeat can carry all the junk :v: Before that I was really picky about what I'd take with me.

I usually use em to upgrade other guns for my settlers.
What about ammo for settlers? Do you have to supply it to them? Also are there specific guard settlers you guys assign or do you just have everyone work on food or whatever...

Nope. as long as it's not a power weapon like fatman or rocket launcher, give them like six rounds for the gun, and they're good. They never run out. I usually put like two or three guys on those guard posts and towers, since it adds to the defense. But other than that, just equip everyone, because if they're near, they'll run into the fight anyway.

...Portable Odin?
Remember:nukacola contains 1 lb of sugar, be advised you may need to drop a gun to keep your collection under the weight limit

I wish you could tell them to stop pointlessly banging their hammers to begin with, its not like that pannel is getting any more glued to the wall
...Portable Odin?
It is actually the Laser Musket with six cranks.I just need to make a hilarous and non-sense name for my weapons.
[sp]Actually I really need a better name for the Laser Musket, can you guys suggest me one?[/sp]
Do you actually carry prewar money as currency though, I always used it as a great source of cloth, my settlers all have blankets made of fine hand stitched 100$ bills
