You know, a medic playthrough would be pretty interesting, now that I think about it. Play through the whole game with nothing but a labcoat for armor, a ripper, and a medic's plasma thrower (with 9999 plasma rounds). You can only give other weapons/armor to your companions, and your job is to make sure they stay alive and do the dirty work.

For shits I went mad and killed everyone in the institute, I must be super over leveled, I had like 50 synths and dudes shooting lasers at me and my x0-1 didn't even take a scratch before I killed them all, plus my .50cal poisoning rifle does stupid amounts of damage to everything in here, its a shame it probably doesn't really affect the game to wipe out everyone in the institute, again I reloaded to before I did that because the game really doesn't want me to do that

I tested my might against the institute as soon as I got there. I quicksaved and promptly slaughtered a whole wing without breaking a sweat. After that whenever people gave me guff all I could do is think to myself "I could end you, and everything you stand for, right now".

Other than the brotherhood, pretty much every faction is too arogant for their own good, the brotherhood at least have a nuclear football throwing death robot, a legion of power armored troops and shitloads of high power energy weapons, not that institute knockoff crap, and they never say they are superior to you, they respect you, the railroad and the institute are all like " off we can take you" and the minutemen are preston, and everything else is mine

I found out the vault with all the drugs in it and occupied by gunners have a insane amount of aluminum you can salvage.

Finished my first playthrough. Got nearly all the bobbleheads.

On this playthrough I am going to play a cold, intelligent, over-protective mother who is buff because she always had to do the housework while her husband was at war, and had to refuel Codsworth while he was at work. Should be fun.

.........A pair of Fashionable Sunglasses and a Clean Black Suit gave me the Charisma boost to get Mama Murphy to quit chems(I had 6 Charisma on my own). If only I had those back when I tried to get my mother to quit cigarettes.........

Don't forget the fact that you can be wearing the most technologically advanced armor capable of turning you into a flying fortress, wielding a rocket launcher that can fire 12 miniature nuclear warheads at once, yet apparently aren't capable of intimidating someone without going completely down the Charisma ladder.

if you have the check resistances in vats skill see if they have any energy or rad resistance.

apparently they are scripted to go to the bar around 9pm to 12pm before going to bed so they'll be wonky if you don't have one in your settlement
