[sp] For roleplay purposes I feel like its either never going to happen when you go the Institute route because the synths are not organised enough on their own without the help of the railroad or it is just going to be something you as the leader of the Institute and the possible saviour of the Commonwealth have to deal with. When all is said and done the escaped synths are too varied to come together to overthrow something as strong as the Institute. Some become paladins with virtue, others become bloodthirsty raider leaders it would be difficult to unite them (especially without those pesky meddling railroad agents). And hopefully when you have the popular support of the people they are going to be completely on their own. Who are commoners going to side with? The synths they already fear and hate or the wonderful organisation that provides them with food, water, energy etc...? These are people ready to shoot their brothers out of fear of replicants, they are not going to object to them being used as cheap labour I'm sure. On the other hand slavery (because I'm not delusional, it is slavery especially for the advanced synths) does carry the risk of rebellion. If that happens you have to deal with it. That's why keeping the minutemen around is a good idea. Plus unless I'm missing something (and I might be, there must be tons of bits and pieces of lore, especially on the railroad and synth side I've missed) you still would have the ability to make more synths that are loyal to you to quash any uprising. I can't say I considered an uprising when choosing my side, simply because I didn't see the synths as that much of a threat. In any case, if you decide to screw roleplay, you can probably take on an entire army of rebel synths on your own and survive [/sp] What do you think though? Using them is one thing, but can you bring yourself to quash a huge uprising of sentient robots by force? (You pretty much do it for every other faction, these at least aren't completely human).
[sp]Well, sure, the rebelion could be quikly sofocated, and the institute would eventualy program them to be incapable of doing so. And then weel have to get into the philosopy if they are slaves or not .Also, one must admit that the institute does some questionable stuff. Even if the FEV lab is closed right now, it could eventually be restored, and then you´d have the super mutant mess all over again. Plus, its mentiones that the mayority of mutyants in the commonwealth, are, in-fact, Institute made.[/sp]
I wish there was a Hand to Hand finisher when in Power Armour fighting a Deathclaw, it'd be cool as fuck to get it's health right down, the finisher starts when you throw a punch, the Deathclaw takes a swipe at you, you bat it's arm with your right arm then punch it in the face with your left and then punch it again with your right, finishing it off with a blow to the head.
One of the weirdest design decisions about Fallout 3's vaults in retrospect is the utter lack of elevators.
That was mainly because at the time gamebryo, especially the NPCs, couldn't handle simple elevators. Even Fallout 4 most of the time still avoids using elevators for the level design.
Yea, five years latter and the elevator navigation AI still hasn't really gotten up to speed
If I had to design Vault 101 again, what I would have personally done would be to add several floors (two, maybe three) of residences and amenities that would now be abandoned and off-limits, progressively left empty as the population dwindled down to the small numbers that are shown in Fallout 3. By 2277, only the lowest floors of the vault would be occupied right above the reactor and utility rooms, with the overseer still living in his own quarters all the way to the top of the vault.
Those cell changing elevators confused me when I first encountered them because I was going into a building's elevator only a few floors high but I ended up waiting ~5 minutes because of the long loading time
One of the weirdest design decisions about Fallout 3's vaults in retrospect is the utter lack of elevators.
gamebryo just couldn't handle it properly at the time. I remember one elevator in fo3, the one at the washington monument, and I remember that it would take a solid minute to get to the top before it would make you sit through a cell change loading screen anyway
I noticed Piper will pray when sitting in a pew.
I had Preston sit at a table in a diner in the middle of a metro station and pull what appeared to be a steak platter out and start eating it as an idle animation. I didn't give it to him, nothing in the area dropped anything food related. In addition to homing in on you to report on settlements, he apparently has a phantom steak dinner.
I personally chose to [sp]piss off the BoS and blow them the hell up anyway. Maxson's a smeghead, and watching the Prydwen go down to artillery fire was highly satisfying.[/sp]
I don't like [sp]Maxon either, but I don't want to piss off Danse. I still like him, even though I can't use him[/sp]
I don't like [sp]Maxon either, but I don't want to piss off Danse. I still like him, even though I can't use him[/sp]
You can keep Danse and flip off BoS if you do his companion quest
I don't like [sp]Maxon either, but I don't want to piss off Danse. I still like him, even though I can't use him[/sp]
[sp]Danse gets kicked out of BoS if you side with them for long enough anyway, it's the only way for him to idolise you (and the perk is pretty sweet). You can still choose to side with the Minutemen or Railroad afterwards.[/sp]
Hey unrelated but I wanted to wish you all a very happy new year and all of the luck
What do batch files do and how do they work? I was thinking of using this mod.
Damnit greygarden has more defense than the damn castle but they still complain, and they've never been attacked once [editline]31st December 2015[/editline]
[t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/368532262432256096/EA4A1176EADC67A36EE47FFC090A6DC7665D0E26/[/t] Found a neat looking tank.
I love that, but I swear it's a huge red alert 2 easter egg, since the game has a tank that looks exactly like that called...the apocalypse tank [editline]31st December 2015[/editline] Is unarmed power armor brawler a viable playstyle?
Is unarmed power armor brawler a viable playstyle?
Played a whole run like that and it's viable. You don't even have to put a lot of points into strength since Power Armor always sets Strength to 11 and the Unarmed Perk is available regardless of your stats.
I really wish the Power Armor arms mods also applied to gun bashing, or there were non-unarmed mods for the arms.
What do batch files do and how do they work? I guess the mod uses a batch file for console commands to turn your character into a child.
I really wish the Power Armor arms mods also applied to gun bashing, or there were non-unarmed mods for the arms.
I'm still hoping someone will rig the power fist onto the power armor for extra punch.
To be fair, GTA is a more popular AAA game to a wider audience that has multiplayer and is still releasing content ever since it came out.
Late, but Fallout 4's day 1 sales are basically equal to, if not higher, than gta 5's day 1 sales.
Batch files usually execute a bunch of console commands for you so you won't have to type them over and over again. I guess the mod uses a batch file for console commands to turn your character into a child.
So how do you use them?
So how do you use them?
Put the .txt file in the game's folder (same location as the binaries) Then once ingame open the console and type bat filename (without the extension).
So how do you use them?
When you download them you place them in your fallout 4's root folder and while in-game you type bat < file name here> and then it does the rest, the file format is unnecessary when executing the command in-game you only need the name of it.

Is this a viable speedrunning tactic? Sure it's hilarious but it could shave off a minute or two from the run time, skipping two conversations and making it much easier to avoid a third.
Is this a viable speedrunning tactic? -snip was editing the wrong files. Still got my saves, and I'm reinstalling the game after clearing everything I edited. Will try again when it's done redownloading and everything.-
I can't decide what to aim for Legendary-wise for my Minigun. On one hand, Explosive is AoE and can add +30 damage per shot with perks, on another hand is Wounding which stacks +25 bleed damage over 5 seconds with every shot and resisted by virtually nothing, on the third hand there is staggering for stun locking things, or I could go with Kneecapper and turn most things immobile. I can't decide in what way I want my weapon to be overpowered. :v:
this game looks almost as good as oblivion (just kidding, this is dope)
Black hair, ridiculous curves, skin-tight vault suit. I'm pretty sure that's a nod to Vault Meat.
Vault Meat? [editline]1st January 2016[/editline] Y'know what I'm not even surprised anymore.
Black hair, ridiculous curves, skin-tight vault suit. I'm pretty sure that's a nod to Vault Meat.
I looked up Vault Meat, and the artist's work... So much futa... Never again
