So, how do you make this game mod-friendly and how do you install mods? I've got a fresh, clean install and the sense to back everything I edit up now.
I just found another must-have mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7219/? [t]http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/7219-3-1451420993.jpg[/t]

There's one in the mods section of the OP. Afaik most of them will also make the necessary archive invalidation setting changes. [editline]1st January 2016[/editline] Just noticed the OP doesn't include my name as one of the people who helped compile the mod list :c
Luck has basically become a dump stat in this game, which is a major disappointment.
Are you joking? Luck is arguably the most powerful tree in the game. Every perk is useful while huge chunks of other trees have useless perks. Fortune Finder: Not a big deal, but neither are any of the starter perks. Still useful though. Who doesn't like caps? Scounger: Finding ammo everywhere is super useful, especially when dealing with rare ammo types. Also ammo is basically a 2nd currency. Affording high end items, lots of junk, shipments, etc is much easier when you have 5000 rounds of 5mm sitting in your inventory thanks to scrounger. Bloody Mess: It's cool, and it increases your damage. A place to dump a perk point into if you have nothing else sure... but it's a useful one. Mysterious Stranger: This gets ridiculous and will save your ass a lot of times, especially if upgraded. Free kill, why not? Idiot Savant: You can get the highest XP average/modifier in the game with this perk, even with intelligence. Useful. Especially when it triggers while completing a quest. Better Criticals: Criticals are really strong. Making them better is really strong. Not much else to say Critical Banker: Holy shit is this good. Being able to pop off a critical against a boss or hard enemy one after another is very helpful and allows you to clear tough situations much easier. Grim Reaper's Sprint: Makes it so you can keep comboing off criticals, mysterious strangers, etc when triggered. Very useful, and makes a VAT's playstyle much stronger. Four Leaf Clover: Criticals are strong AF and here's a skill that gives you a chance of getting a free one with every hit. Ricochet: It's chance based invulnerability that works better when you need it most (almost dead) and guarantees a kill. Maxed out, also gives you criticals. Which, by the way, are extremely strong. Speccing into luck is powerful. If you dedicate perks to it you'll basically be a constant critical hitting god of death that automatically kills people around you.

The only END perk I have is toughness 1, and I got that right at the start of the game because I was sick of dying in like one volley and wanted to last a little bit longer.
I just found another must-have mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7219/?
The laughable size of vanilla afros was my biggest disappointment when I started creating my character.
So I'm guessing that it's a bad idea to have a town full of provisioners? Sanctuary Hills has some 15 people in it but I can only find a few in the whole town. Furthermore is here a way to cancel all trade routes?
Yeah, Luck is an amazing stat, lots of good perks, and each point increases the build-up speed on crits so great synergy with the perks. If you want to see an actual dump stat in F4 just look at Endurance, it's utterly useless, the little bit of extra hp you get from each point is pathetic, and the perks are either useless or a gimmick.
Chem Resistance is pretty nice.
[T]http://www.jeezz.com/games/oblivion-x360/x360-game-screenshot-oblivion_12.jpg[/T] [T]http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c209/dev_akm/oblivion/oto/noise/QTP3_BT2048_KMd_01.jpg[/T] Say what you will about Oblivion, but I think it looks to this date still absolutely incredible, especially its vast landscapes and sights, despite its age. Not everything of the game might look as great as it once did, but largely it still does IMO thanks to it's pretty incredible artstyle, and fantastic use of lightning and just general graphical design.
I love the landscapes, and quite a few of the monsters look great too, but goddamn do the playable races look ass.
Limb damage is a joke too. Oh no now I have to use a stimpack and instantly cure it, what a blight on my gameplay.
Not to mention they just heal themselves if you wait a bit. I miss having to limp half a mile to a doctor because I tripped over a landmine :C edit: changes to radiation are perfect tho, other than maaayyybbbeee radaway being too plentiful
Limb damage is a joke too. Oh no now I have to use a stimpack and instantly cure it, what a blight on my gameplay.
To be fair, using a stimpak on a limb in 3 and NV wasn't exactly a difficult ordeal either. "Your ____ has been crippled!" *instantly brings up the pip-boy and cures it* [editline]t[/editline] I definitely agree that radiation is now a far more interesting and intuitive mechanic though. Rather than reducing some stats (which you might not even notice until it kills you), it has a clearly visible and very easy to understand impact on your well-being.
what outfit is that? or is it a mod?
the outfit is vanilla (traveling leather coat http://fallout.gamepedia.com/Traveling_leather_coat) but the armor stuff is one of those mods that allows you to put armor on more outfits. combine it with the assault gas mask for a nice stalker character [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/397801945119745256/028663234BD582A5CC30F6F3CA14A9D2B9BE09FF/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/396676773806161507/DED9B669C8079DD2AC610999409AA6F6F7FB9E46/[/t]

After seeing a list of all bobblehead locations, I fear I myself may be a low INT character. Judging from the guide's instructions, I must've been looking RIGHT AT some of them and then just walked away. :hammered:
Aquaboy is pretty useful.
I feel like the people who disagree haven't played very much with it. You don't realize how much water there is and how much easier the game is when you don't have to worry about it. I played 130 hours with it and forgot I had it. Started a new game and dived into the water by sanctuary and almost died because I had forgotten how water works.
Water is a minor annoyance at worst, it's not worth the four SPECIAL points you gotta pump into endurance to get that one perk. I will admit though that it's probably one of the better perks in the endurance line.
oh I guess if you don't have the endurance already then it might not be worth it. But for me it was one point away and I really wanted to get that quarry cleared out.

"Soul Survivor" that's such a brilliant name
Aquaboy is pretty useful.
And one of the main features in Fallout 4 makes the perk mostly useless, if not completely useless unless you want to do some underwater exploring and don't feel like moving slow. Why waste perk points on something when you could just get into Power Armour.
Power armor is extremely slow underwater
I already pointed that out, going underwater for any long period of time is still completely useless anyway, you won't be under the water that long if you took Power Armour instead of taking Aquaboy, it's a short distance from A to B and normally you can completely ignore water by going around it, unless you feel like exploring, which Aquaboy is sort of required for, but there really isn't much under the water to qualify Aquaboy as a required perk. And most streams of water are easily passable in Power Armour even if you ARE slow, wasting a point for a very situational and mostly useless perk is sort of silly.
someone gave up when adding object ids
Decided to make an Engineer type character, with pipe weapons legendary wrench and flamer included :D Also this happened when i stealth stabbed someone, its like his soul basically froze asking "Why you do this!?"
