Wait, so can we play like Necromunda, Warhammer and stuff like Better Dead Than Zed: All Things Zombie at some point in the future?
They might be a little more communicative about it then. It has been three weeks since the public release. Steam has had two updates in that time while the non-Steam version hasn't updated at all. Kinda makes it impossible to even use the program when the two people I would be playing with are using the Steam version.
I remember a post about this on the forums. They said that like only eight people bought the non-steam version, a percent of a percent. He will support the drm-free option like he promised, but not as often so users won't have to download so many updates where steam does it automatically. I'll find the post for you later tonight. [editline]7th May 2014[/editline] Frayyy posted the post in question. After steam became a thing, only six people bought the non-drm version. That's why that is.
Didn't they already do something like that? I haven't necessarily been paying attention to your issue, Alice, but they said that those few people who purchased the standalone version would be able to email them and receive Steam keys. Maybe you can give that shot?
I could do this but I'd rather avoid it. I try to avoid buying things on Steam and in the case of TS I wouldn't have bought it if it was only available there. I don't support Steam until Valve fixes things.

I've been getting an error connecting to the master server when hosting a game. Anybody else getting this?
Valve fixes... what exactly? I've used steam for years now and I've yet to come across any real problems. Hell it even has offline play.
Downtime that has done nothing but get worse and worse over the last year (when I joined Steam which was around the same time as you according to your profile there was maybe one downtime per month, and this was when I still left my computer on and logged into Steam 24/7 so I noticed downtime that happened while I was away) while communication has gone from nearly non-existent to completely non-existent, the store needs to change (though most people agree with this one with the floods of garbage being released lately), and on top of that the few changes Valve does make most of the time anymore are either anti-consumer changes like they've done letting developers moderate the tags and reviews for their games or serve simple to make Steam itself more game-like so people buy more games just to get some shitty virtual cards. So my solution is to avoid getting new games on Steam until they fix things and buy from sites like Gog, the Humble Store, GamersGate, or Desura or from the developers directly. (The last option being what I did here.)

(The last option being what I did here.)
I agree with one of your points, which is that theres been too many garbage games, but all the other points are either negligible or necessary evils. Negligible: -I have no idea what "Communication is completely non-existent" means, so I cant respond to it, but it hasnt affected me in the slightest. -Steam trading cards can be entirely ignored and nothing will be lost, but if youre into achievements they're fun to collect. -Downtimes have been pretty consistent the past couple of years, aside from one or two moments. Necessary evils: -Developers have to moderate tags and reviews, seeing as how idiots will often try and inject obscenity into everything. -Valve flooding in garbage games in due to the greenlight system, and the early access system. in this case Valve is making the smart economic decision to capitalize on these two things, and it's worked out for them. Every once in a while a terrible game will slip through, but who fucking cares, terrible games are everywhere. It seems to me youre just trying to hate on something because that thing is popular.
Can you play Jenga?
with the way it lifts pieces when you pick them up, there would be no way to play jenga
I made some custom money for Nintendo Monopoly! [t]http://i.imgur.com/kGca7B8.jpg[/t] Edit: I probably won't be uploading it to Nexusmods so if you want it, here it is: http://www.sendspace.com/file/pacrhr (I might make more revisions such as making the characters more high-res so consider it V1)
I'm sure considering uploading this to the Nexus is a good idea. There's plenty of people who would be willing to download this.
-I have no idea what "Communication is completely non-existent" means, so I cant respond to it, but it hasnt affected me in the slightest.
Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean it's a non-issue for everyone.
-Steam trading cards can be entirely ignored and nothing will be lost, but if youre into achievements they're fun to collect.
I could probably have been a bit more clear on this one. The effort they sunk into the trading card system could have been better spent somewhere else. The purpose of the tradng card system is just to rope people into buying more shit anyways. Also the new profiles are just an awful mess compared to before trading cards but that one is just my opinion.
-Downtimes have been pretty consistent the past couple of years, aside from one or two moments.
I don't know how much time you spend on Steam but you're way way off here. Go look at the downtime discussion thread on SPUF. You'll see that in the last year and especially since the start of this year the downtimes have done nothing but increase.
Necessary evils: -Developers have to moderate tags and reviews, seeing as how idiots will often try and inject obscenity into everything.
Or Valve could deal with that part themselves leaving no room for devs abusing the system which happened within a week of that system being released.
It seems to me youre just trying to hate on something because that thing is popular.
"I don't understand your reasons so you're just a hipster hating things because they're popular." OR, my arguments are actually valid criticisms of Valve because they're capable of a lot more but they're too lazy to bother.
you have valid criticisms they're just ridiculously picky ones to throw a mini-boycott over.

One of my friends and I were joking about how hilarious it would be if Desperate Gods made its way into Tabletop Sim, so this is an awesome surprise! We used to have crazy custom decks and house rules, so we may have to remake something like it.
Custom paper pieces now.
I'll take requests to model 3D pieces if you have references, why not right? I will keep the files saved as .max and export them as whatever format they allow to be imported. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to import them including collision meshes and textures.
Update 13 is out !!!!
The patch notes this week will be a bit shorter than normal because we have been working on a lot of behind the scenes stuff for Workshop integration. We've been making great progress on that and next week’s update will hopefully have Workshop support so keep an eye out. As always, restart Steam to ensure you get the latest update! We forgot to update the version number at the bottom left of the main menu, so it will still say v1.2 even if you have v1.3. Features: -Custom decks can now be spawned sideways. This will make the 'Alt' zoom the correct orientation. -You can now notify everyone to a location by tapping the 'Tab' key and a bouncing arrow will appear with sound -2 new host options: Allow client scaling and enable hands (hands are how you hold multiple cards) -Added rules for Mahjong, Reversi and Solitaire. Custom Paper figurines Added: -Let's you import a picture onto a paper figurine -'ALT' zoom looks at them from the front instead of top for easier viewing -1x2 aspect ratio on the custom card image Turn Improvements: -You can now reverse the order of the turns by choosing counterclockwise -People that have empty hands can also be automatically skipped, great for poker style games. Changes: -Africa (AF) has been added to the location selector when hosting. -Search in Server Browser now also works on location. -Objects held will no longer be placed in the Loot Bag. -You can scale objects even larger now (Up to 3 times the normal size, previously 2 times). Fixes: -Fixed custom content save files storing your local directory instead of the URL. -Multi object pickup will no longer mess up the scale of your objects. Each one will be independently scaled. -Saving and loading now works with the Loot Bag for remembering what was inside -Cards will now properly hide and reveal when changing what color you are playing as -PNG color bug should no longer be occurring (maybe) -Loot bags can no longer be stored inside each other; Bagception was too OP -Solitaire chosen on glass table will swap to octagon to avoid issues with glass collision -Resetting cards in card actions menu will not reset their scale -Sir Loin and Mara are no longer duplicated on the spawn menu. What we’re working on: -Steam Workshop Integration -3D Model Support for Mods -Additional RPG Features -Connection Issues -??? game mode -More Steam Integration -RAM Optimization -Crashing issues -and much more…
Made an update to my Monopoly game [t]http://i.imgur.com/UJTtE9T.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/XpGXIxL.jpg[/t] - Got rid of Toad & replaced him with Rosalina - Changed character renders - Modified "Go to Jail" & "Just Visiting" space - Added custom player pawns, they're Pokemon Trainers from all generations I still can't get the characters & board to a good resolution where its definitely readable instead of being barely readable
Player pawns should be nintendo icons. Like the 1 up mushroom, and the brick block. Pokemon trainers look way too similar and are going to be hard to differentiate.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/IKzEEJb.jpg[/t] Can't decide on color...I might go with Black edit I went with Black, these are the game pieces now! [t]http://i.imgur.com/LtxZBJH.jpg[/t]
Hey guys, I'm creating a soccer game and this simulator will be a great way to play if everything goes correct, but first I need some opinions if creating a soccer game to be played in this way would be something that someone would play ?
after messign around with the mahjong setup I noticed a few issues with it, namely not having the correct set of tiles for any actual variants I know of, since they accidentally added both variants of the white dragon tile (blank or empty box) as their own tiles, so there are 8 white dragon tiles, and they have the flowers but not the seasons, making both japanese mahjong (no flowers or seasons) and chinese (flowers and seasons) wrong as well. I don't know if anybody here cares about mahjong but I thought I'd bring it up, I told them on their feedback forum so hopefully they fix it, cause right now trying to actually play the game could get annoying.
so i discovered you can attain zero gravity with a simple little trick
the same trick allows you to create super heavy gravity, as well. [editline]13th May 2014[/editline] wow i thought that would've auto-merged, damn it.
so i discovered you can attain zero gravity with a simple little trick
Physicists hate him!!
you have valid criticisms they're just ridiculously picky ones to throw a mini-boycott over.
I'm fairly sympathetic to him here: complain yet buy, and "vote with your wallet!" follows - establishing what's picky and what's sufficiently substantial for consistent application is a task a hivemind of heads passing in and out of the internet aren't able to do.
Physicists hate him!!
thanks one simple trick, you too can float as many balls as you want [editline]16th May 2014[/editline] p.s. for anyone wondering - the gravity trick is incredibly easy to do. start a singleplayer game, go to options, slide the gravity slider to whatever direction you want, then exit to main menu and repeat this process. It's around 5~6 times to 0.2 for zero gravity.
