I hope they put little tutorials for how to play some of these games. I've wanted to learn how to play Go and Mahjong. Also, I agree with some of the others that the game is too expensive. I think ten dollars would be much more reasonable.
Couldn't help myself, just bought this thing. Is there steam workshop for this game?

Get it now while it's like $12 dollars than. Not much better, but hell, I see a lot of potential for this in the future.
What really sold me was OP's tarot card skins holy shit
One thing I'd like to see is using local files instead of a url or have the choice between the 2 for cards.

Once I scan all of my Thoth cards I'll probably make a set for those as well.

This kind of shocked me a bit at first. Its strange to think that they made a system where you can hot load files from a webpage, but not from a local folder.
The reason is, if you start up a multiplayer game, each client that connects also uses the link provided to access the image files. You skip a step by not having to upload the files to a central server.
Damn, fifteen bucks is kind of a lot when you consider the game relies on convincing friends to buy it too
For casual use sure, but if you're a hardcore RPG nerd or are really into tabletop games, that's nothing.
I think they're adding character sheets in a future update so that'll make it a bit easier for DnD players,
well i already have a char sheet site, i'm more concerned about like creating "maps" to put onto the table. yknow, inns, battlemaps, grids etc
I wish it had a floor so if you flipped the table it didnt just fall out of view.

You can upload custom boards already, so you could very feasibly upload custom battlemaps.
Only thing missing is custom models (which is like, 75% of the appeal admittedly), but that's coming soon.
So, can you actually play any board games on this? It sounds awesome. Would try to do a custom card deck if I get it.
Anyone want to make a facepunch group? Not too fun playing with pubs
Has someone already made a Monopoly board for this game? If so, I'd be a lot more tempted to buy it. It's so hard to find a decent online Monopoly game to play with friends.
There's a monopoly board on The Nexus.
Could also do with a split deck function for cards.

Though it lacks house pieces, so bit tricky to mark out houses.

you could use pretty much anything for that though

well, I have a group of friends that plays tons of table top games regularly but they're not big video gamers unfortunately

Well that's your real issue. Also, I didn't know that it was possible to like tabletop games but not video games.
If you wanna convince them, tell them that it's the quarter of the price of most board games, and you can play ANY board game with it.

In theory, atleast.
where do you put save files? i downloaded a thing from the nexus but i don't know where to put it
where do you put save files? i downloaded a thing from the nexus but i don't know where to put it
Saves files are stored in My Documents/My Games/Tabletop Simulator
I WILL buy this whenever some fellow pseudoautist takes the time to hammer out some WH40K content.
Until then, I'll monitor this shit. Lots of potential.
just bought it, now i released there's like no singleplayer stuff. now i really want to play it with FP people

You can't play solataire? :v:
Is there anyway to play with strangers? i lack friends willing to buy games, but this looks like fun, though at the same time it looks abusable by random people
This has a lot of potential, good thing its still only in alpha, it will have room to grow.
You can't play solataire? :v:
i'm awful at solitaire
I've been selling shit on the marketplace to get this game, It's going to take forever
Playing against my girlfriend in monopoly on this while skyping, is pretty fun, though we've had a few card clipping disasters.
I need $3.99 to get the game, so fucking close. Someone better buy my hats
(You guys realize that if you got actual jobs you could buy games for just 2 hours of work, instead of trawling the marketplace for 6 hours of work for the equivalent amount of cash.)
