(You guys realize that if you got actual jobs you could buy games for just 2 hours of work, instead of trawling the marketplace for 6 hours of work for the equivalent amount of cash.)
I wish people would stop assuming things about peoples money situations. Sure, most of the time it is whiny people with no jobs begging for games, but sometimes, for example, you work part time for your university and only get paid once a month, and rent and food take priority and you end with with $42 for the rest of the month, but you still need to pay next months rent and the freaking school pays you in the middle of every month... :downs:
So yeah, different people, different shit. But most of the time it IS kids just begging for games.
anyone up for a game of cards against humanity?
whats the password?
dogs
Also for those wanting to do DnD with friends, you can always just import your character sheet by having it as a custom card.

I'd personally prefer making a Google Drive spreadsheet template then everyone making a copy of that myself.
Anyone fancy banding together to get 4 pack?
Things escalate quite quickly

I've always wanted to play on SirCrests face

Has anyone tried out the Munchkin mod? I've always wanted to play that game, but I've never gotten to try it irl.
Is the mod fully faithful to the real game? Is anything lost in the transition to the virtual version? This might be the thing that makes or breaks me buying it in this sale. I'm sure someone would fully mod Munchkin in if the current version isn't already perfect, but I really need to know first.

Oh, one more question too: Is there a mechanic to hide your hand from other players? I mean, poker and a lot of other card games hinge heavily on others not seeing your hand.
I've looked on youtube, and it looks like if you hold your cards over your "area" on the table, the cards are concealed to everyone but you. Is that right?
[editline]20th April 2014[/editline]
And ONE MORE question, last one, I promise: How easy is it to mod in new card decks? My friends and I play cards against humanity online occasionally, but we always wished we could make our own custom decks. Is that easy to do in this game?

yeah each player gets a side of the table when a card is on your side no one else can see it
Now my friends are really torn on the game. Two of us REALLY want it, but five other friends in the group are just like "I'd play it, but I won't BUY it."
My second friend is willing to gift a copy from the 4-pack to someone, but we can't possibly extort a fourth person to buy our extra copy. So now I'm basically canvassing my friends list to try and get a fourth person to buy and play with us.
How come I don't have a saves folder?
you have to first create a save
you have to first create a save
I've created multiple saves. Checked documents/my games/ and there's no folder there.
Just tested magic. We just imported our real decks in and played. Its a bit annoying tapping and untapping but hey it works.
When the workshop comes out for this, someone make Warhammer figurines so we can have a tabletop version of that please.

They're adding a tape measure soon so that's gonna be inevitable.
I really hope this game doesn't just fade out of existence. I've always wanted to play D&D and 40k without having to spend a lot of money or find groups willing enough.
Honestly, when a proper 40K/Space Crusade game pops up on this they can have all the money I never spent on inflated GW plastic kits. Online 40K/Space Crusade would kick ass.
If they do warhammer stuff. Wouldn't there be licensing issues?

Mods, my friend. That is the beauty of mods.
So I finally found my saves folder. Why it installed in C: instead of the F: drive where the game itself is installed I'll never know.
Time to see about making a Yugioh mod.
They need something like a mass select feature. It'd make a LOT of things way easier.

They're really active on their subreddit and on the Steam discussions page. I'd imagine that's the place to tell them.

Games Workshop have sent cease and desist letters to non-profit modders in the past. They're the most protective company I've ever seen with their IP, and I've worked for Disney

Well then we make the models and such, and if they ask us to stop, then we stop.
Until then I will chainsword orks

Myself and a friend messed about with Munchkin (yes we know it's supposed to be 3 player) and it felt perfectly playable, but we were learning the rules as we went
Cards over your player name on the edge of the table are hidden from everyone else - either way up, and the admin can deal directly to players hands - note you have to deal cards face down to make sure they're not visible, when dealing face up there are a few frames where the card is visible just before entering the players hand
Making new decks is all done in an image editor - get a template like this one and edit your cards over it - then upload it somewhere with a public direct link and put the url into the custom game dialog. If you don't want to setup everything again on each new mp game do it once in sp then make a save game, which you can load in mp
Damn, fifteen bucks is kind of a lot when you consider the game relies on convincing friends to buy it too
yeah but it seems this is basically the tabletop boardgame to end all boardgames. you could probably build millions of games

That's why Vassal40k is totally shut down and you cant find it anywhere on the internet...
...is what I would be saying if the first result of googling vassal40k was a download to the mod.
In this case it would be especially useless, as you aren't even importing functions of the actual game, just user generated models.
Been following this game for a while. Can't wait to try it out. I'd get it myself but well no money. Can't really work until this wound is healed.
What all games have been made for it? Hopefully someone did Pokemon TCG.
