So my main monitor has some noticeable ghosting issues, I'll see about getting that fixed soon enough, for the time being thought I'm stuck with using one monitor now, it could be worse. At least now my desk isn't so cluttered.
I'm scratching my head why and how that happened. It was doing fine for most of the day until just a few hours ago.

The Sawed off has some moments where it somehow doesn't hit anyone at a close enough range, and the USAS-12 is on the weak side.

when using akimbo weapons, always change your firemode to "free full auto" or "free semi" This will allow you to fire the left gun with left mouse and right gun with right mouse
with pistols this means you can shoot both at once, (devastating with dual colts) or with SMGs you can fire twice as long by using both guns after each other.

Cocyx has been around for a long time though. He was the host of the Sven co-op Afraid of Monsters server. If you've seen the old Spike and Barley videos of Afraid of Monsters in sven co-op, you'll see cocyx is the one who plays david leatherhoff throughout the series on his server.
I went and played it a few months ago too and the server was still up and he was playing on it, so no doubt he's got a good feel for HL1 mods

I used to play this mod alot, never got that good at the kung-fu part and generally got wrecked as soon as someone got in my face.
I joined the Steam group, hopefully I'll be able to join you guys some time.
I managed to top a scoreboard for once, but then I was against only two other people and I [i]kinda[/i] whored the AK47/M4A1. And then Angels' Share joined mid-match and fucking wrecked us but I still barely held onto the top. I swear there's something plain unnatural with his aiming and reflexes, along with his habits of using Slow Pause on everyone, but meh, I might just be overly critical.
And then the game crashed mid-mapswitch. v:v:v

I haven't seen such hard camping in ages.
Trying to clear that camping spot with a shotgun isn't the best idea I've come up with.
The main problem I'm seeing is that we are encountering people who have played this game, and half life in general, for [i]years[/i]. I was never too big into the mods and the game until more recently. So constantly getting my ass annihilated by these guys hurts the motivation a little, since i practically can't compete with them on a equal footing.
I mean, Cocyx has been playing this kind of stuff for how long now?

Think about all the games today where people gain levels and get better guns and shit though
the only thing you can increased in this game is your raw skill. It's why I prefer it.
And sure, you'll get your ass handed to you. But think of it this way: every time you kill them it's like you won your own little boss battle. You won't be the top of the charts but just having fun flipping around and screaming as someone is running at you to kung fu is the thrill of the game
I can only ever handle kung-fu masters by slow mo/pause and lots of bullets liberally applied to their face. I guess I really need to improve my kung-fu myself.

Ahhh yes the steps. Always had 2 officers standing on them. The only thing was that people just ended up harassing them and trying to get them to kill them by running up and down the steps so they can yell "DM DM DM!!!!!1".
