Just smashed a moon into planet. That shit is so satisfying.
How many vehicle factories would you guys suggest building near the beginning?
As much as your eco can handle. Then even more, after that add one or two, hundreds factories. Ofcors you need eco space for more eco and tech development. Its really hard to tell, when im against 2 players and both are against me on other places, I go like: 3 factories for one, 3 for second. And then more, and more, when I can be safe to make more eco and tech.
I also don't know what to do when theres no resources near my area, I've had a few games where I have almost no mass near by and have to stretch all my extractors out.
Oh, the beta for this is out time to dl and have some fun
I thought AI was bad. I went 2v2 against some guys but my mate dropped fairly quickly. Then I decided to attack because It was taking too long. See that 0? That was their entire army [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/902134800774720197/F7EB8005EF24A8C5934ABEB45D3F051DC1F18861/[/t] I have no clue as to what they did to screw up this badly, except for the fact that they build a lot of scout bots and cars and went to tier 2 while all running on 3 or so MEX
Is it just me or does the AI build nothing but air units?
how 2 win against ai: build ring of AA missiles around base expand ring towards ai until within range of hopkins gun shoot

Everything now seems too barren.
Annihilated my first planet...however I wiped out my base and commander along with the AI's too so the match ended in a draw
How does destroying a planet look ingame? The beta trailer showed it off and it looks awesome, but I'm curious as to if it looks like that in the current build.
How exactly do you know when you have enough planet engines? I got a bunch, but I don't know how I can use them.
I'd love joining said raffle but you are in the wrong planetary thread :v:
Thanks for note me. Now I've made a post in proper thread.
I'd love joining said raffle but you are in the wrong planetary thread :v:
I'd love joining said raffle but you are in the wrong planetary thread :v:
I still wouldnt mind some free PS2 stuff.
How exactly do you know when you have enough planet engines? I got a bunch, but I don't know how I can use them.
In the map view, if you look at the planet list, you should see some 'text bubbles'. If they say S in them I don't think you can move the planet, if it says nothing, but there is text bubbles, you need to place the same amount of engines as there are bubbles. If there are no bubbles, the planet cannot be moved. If you want to ensure that there's a moon you can move in the game, you need to create your own system and set the planets size to the minimum, mass doesn't matter :) I'll grab some pictures for you in case I'm not making too much sense
Is there artillery in this game? I loved turtling up in SupCom1 and shelling my opponent from across the map.
Here you can see the 'text bubbles' the tropical planet requires 3 normal engines, the moon is bigger and is speculated to require super engines (which are not in the game yet) the lava and earth planets can't be moved
I'd love to be able to move a lava planet, or just a lava moon. Something more appealing about smashing a ball of lava onto an enemy base than a ball of cold rock.
Now that I know more about the planet engines I'll have to give it a shot later today. I finally got the AI game to start. It seems they like to turtle and send random waves to poke and prod at your defense.
Ugh, starting a game vs AI is a pain. Also that there is always that asshole player joining. Go the fuck away goddamnit.
Ugh, starting a game vs AI is a pain. Also that there is always that asshole player joining. Go the fuck away goddamnit.
Set your location to Australia. No one will join you.
It still has a long long way to go for optimization. Try generating a system with 3 planets and 3 moons on max, watch the game shit itself for 20 minutes generating the system, then when it starts, it crashes. [editline]28th September 2013[/editline]
Set your location to Australia. No one will join you.
That's a good idea actually.
Can the AI do anything else other than spam aircraft?
Can the AI do anything else other than spam aircraft?
not yet
Here you can see the 'text bubbles' the tropical planet requires 3 normal engines, the moon is bigger and is speculated to require super engines (which are not in the game yet) the lava and earth planets can't be moved
Thank you! Can you also just move planets instead of being required to collide them? atm this is no real use, but imagine placing a fuckton of (yet to be implemented) unit cannons and basically turn said planet into a carrier and cause a rain of death on enemy planets. [editline]28th September 2013[/editline] also, the ai can crash it seems. I was building my base and realized I never got attacked, so after a lot of scouting I found out that all he did was build 2 power gens and then just shit itself I guess.
Set your location to Australia. No one will join you.
This is utterly depressing for us. I spent ages trying to get a game going but it just wasn't happening.
if you make planets really tiny they glitch the fuck out [t]http://i.imgur.com/MIjSySQ.png[/t] I also had one turning into a cube.
How exactly do you know when you have enough planet engines? I got a bunch, but I don't know how I can use them.
The planet needs to have a certain radius(size, 300 and under) and mass(Weight, 2000 or less)
I'll never get to slam a moon into a planet ;n; I keep getting either killed, or wasting so much fucking time that it isn't worth it anymore.
