I don't think there will be much of a singe player campaign. I'm still waiting for the unit canon, what else is "missing"?
So I bought this game while it was on sale, I am happy not to have paid full price, but I still feel scammed. They call it "finished" yet it lacks a multitude of features they promised in the kickstarter, the game is bland, empty and poorly designed. There is no tutorial, I basically had to try doing what I would do in Supreme Commander, which failed at times. The single player mode is a shitfest of half arsed concepts, multiplayer is buggy as fuck and understandably, almost dead. I hope Valve removes this "game" from Steam and everyone gets a refund. It's literally a scam. A blight on TA/SupCom type games. 0/10
The game is quite enjoyable in Multiplayer, not as in depth as Supreme Commander. For some tutorials, take a look at this:
You guys think this game is worth it for 10 bucks?
Yes. The game is very fun even though it doesn't have the depth of supreme commander. The multi planet, large armies and "random maps", makes up for a different RTS game. While still lacking some features and options the game itself is definitely worth 10 bucks if you ask me.
Is it worth it at like £4.59? Because it's on sale, and that's VERY cheap.
I would say so this is the only rts I have played and liked in the past 6 years.
Unit Cannon will be playable on PTE (along with some naval changes) in a very early state later this week/early next week. "The unit cannon is essentially a specialized tech 2 factory that can deploy its units anywhere in the solar system instead of just outside its doorway. Build a salvo of up to 12 units that can be composed of a variety of t1 and some t2 land units, and then use the attack command fire them all off to a location somewhere in the solar system, making for interplanetary warfare that is much more dynamic. Here's a few examples of what a single unit cannon is good for, and what it's not so good for. A single Unit Cannon is good for... Rapidly deploying small raiding parties anywhere in the solar system, especially undefended areas. Conveniently sending a small force to establish a healthy expansion or forward base on your planet or another one. Establishing a beachhead on a planet with a heavily dug-in enemy presence. Making surgical strikes against key targets that aren't well defended in the immediate vicinity. A single Unit Cannon is not so good for... Launching an entire invasion army to brute force invade a planet. Regularly reinforcing a far-away base with new units. Sniping a well-defended and well-positioned commander. Besieging and assaulting a well-fortified base. You'll notice up there that I said this all applies to a single unit cannon. This is because the unit cannon is balanced so that multiple unit cannons can be built in a large and late enough game, all flinging tanks and robots and death machines back and forth majestically through the cold void of space to rain death from the stars and skies. As you may have guessed by now, the more unit cannons you build, the more units you can launch at one time, and the more effective your coordinated unit cannons become at performing tasks that a single unit cannon wouldn't be so good at." Well that's something, now all we have to do is wait for a save game feature and submarines.

https://forums.uberent.com/threads/unit-cannon-design-vision.66303/
Finally this could change so much about how you have to play. No more just leaving your commander around within the base to do menial base improvement tasks you will need him around defenses with guards. The space race of who can build a satellite maker to transport troops will no longer be the bigger priority and most likely who can make a unit cannot to secure the planets ahead of time. This could lead to more difficult battles where you will be managing the invasion of multiple planets early on where it is not a case of get to planet and destroy their teleporter well done planet is yours it will be a case of who can keep up and defend from constant units hitting. Basically actually managing a constant war for all of the planets in the match rather than quick take over and digging in.
PTE update is live! https://forums.uberent.com/threads/pte-build-75771-pte-now-live.66332/ The other major change (apart form massive balancing changes and of course the unit cannon) is a new economy state that will automatically turn a building off if you don't have the economy for it.

"Gandalf" makes custom maps and releases them on the forums and through PMM. Most of the systems are single planet and they are worth checking out. Game worth it to buy right now? Or wait until more content?
Game worth it to buy right now? Or wait until more content?
Depends on how much the game costs right now as the game is worth it especially with unit cannon coming. With the winter steam sale just around the corner it is probably best to just wait for that and get it then for those extra savings.
It was $6 for the black friday sale stuff so I would imagine it would be the same at some point during winter sale
Game worth it to buy right now? Or wait until more content?
For me the game is worth 10 dollar for sure, I bought it on release for much more and I still enjoy it. [editline]10th December 2014[/editline] I suggest you guys check out PAMM (PA Mod Manager) https://forums.uberent.com/threads/rel-pa-mod-manager-cross-platform.59992/ In combination with Hotbuild2 https://forums.uberent.com/threads/rel-pamm-hotbuild2-v1-40-75539.54561/
It is $10 now on the humble store for anyone wanting it cheap Also does anybody else have a problem with subcommanders in galactic war just sitting around doing nothing? They drop in and stand still, and they don't even try to build even a metal extractor. He does make for a nice diversion for the enemy for the first 10 minutes or so, however, since they will split their forces between harassing me and trying to murder him.
This game is really becoming great. Worth every penny from my 70$ I spend on it.
New release build https://forums.uberent.com/threads/release-build-76456-is-live-unit-cannon-update.66594/ Unit cannon is now I game. Player tutorial is Ingame. Major balance changes A bunch of fixes [editline]18th December 2014[/editline]
FINALLY !!!!! the unit cannon is upon us.
Time to arrange free for all facepunch matches I say.
Will they ever improve the planet smashing ? It's a huge part of the game and it still looks lame with the collision not changing and the units floating over the craters, and it seems like they broke the animations with the last update.
Worth it at 10.19?

I usually don't hang around after a planet smash since I'm either dead or the enemy is, so I haven't seen floating units yet. [editline]19th December 2014[/editline]
Worth it at 10.19?
If you like RTS games on a large scale then yes. But make sure you have 8GB of ram or more cause this game isn't well ram optimized.
Well, there is also that part about more units in one game than any game before. It can really make PC cry.
Well, there is also that part about more units in one game than any game before. It can really make PC cry.
And having multiple maps/planets is fun and refreshing.
Any word on when we're going to get asteroid belts and landers?
Any word on when we're going to get asteroid belts and landers?
We already have the Astraeus if that's what you mean by lander and the asteroid belt has been replaced by moons.
