No, it is not possible. Try to compare PA more to Total Annihilation than FAF. What they took from SupCom is more or less some UI components (scrolling, etc), and thats it.

Did they finish the game yet? It still feels like an unfinished title right now, it really bothers me how boring the units are, the scale is also kinda shite, kinda wish they would've ditched the whole round planet concept, I would've loved if they went for a more classic route.
If you are looking for the same, go for FAF, its still great for classic map big scale RTS. PA is new in some important points, and I dont feel that round maps take away good experience, they rather add it to the game. And also add scalability. Units are more or less good where they are, every unit is important in every moment of game, I like that. Look at PA as a very competetive big scale multiplayer RTS. Game is really solid in that. It does not feel unfinished, at least for me, and I played it since alpha. And soon we will get asteroids, so we got almost everything. We could complain that 40 FFA games are not THAT common and official, but you CAN do that and some people do weekend big battles.
I've always loved this game. And asteroids are currently on the PTE, so they should be out soon-ish.

I've kinda lost all my interest on PA at this point, a bunch of space rocks won't save the boring maps and shallow units along with the unfinished Galactic War and horrid performance, plus the gameplay gets stale so quickly, blowing stuff up constantly has no real value to me. I'd rather play Age of Mythology or Age of Empires at this point and actually have fun.

If you say that units are shallow, you dont really know anything, and watch some good replays instead of watering down entire gameplay of most RTS's into one small meaningless post. Units are balanced, every has a role in game, and if you say maps are boring, you have not tried so many custom ones, and even now you can make any map in system editor. Can't wait for that great argument that "you only spam units".

Nice, it's literally the same game with things that SHOULD have been put into planetary annihilation. FUCK YOU, Uber.
never going near an uber game or a game that has remotely touched kickstarter in any way ever again
The Human Resources kickstarter that came out of nowhere once they got slightly bored was a pretty huge red flag, but this is even worse. They could probably made all three ideas into one game if they wanted to, just with different campaigns/game modes.
Nice, it's literally the same game with things that SHOULD have been put into planetary annihilation. FUCK YOU, Uber.
Agreed, when I first heard of PA I was hoping for something more similar to Supreme Commander, but instead I got a watered down and almost lifeless game that's not even half what SC was and this just kicks the bucket off the cliff. The concept behind this game is great, but Uber over simplified it.
Something nice, if you backed via kickstater you get it for free and if you own PA before titans came out you get it at %66 off. Something not so nice, if you backed via paypal or the uberstore pre-alpha(Which I did, for nintey dollarydoos) you get the same bonuses as someone who bought the game on sale during summer or even just last week. Oh and if you signed up to the mystery mayhem tournament before today you got it for free... there was no indication of this. I feel as though I did everything as wrong as possible with regards to backing this game.
Something nice, if you own PA before titans came out you get it at %66 off.
doesnt matter much if its not permanent [t]http://i.imgur.com/rkScjW1.png[/t]
doesnt matter much if its not permanent [t]http://i.imgur.com/rkScjW1.png[/t]
also from what i can tell, eventually PA original will be removed from sale [editline]18th August 2015[/editline] "By making a stand alone, they can pull in new players without the plague of early reviews. Old players get it for the normal price of an expansion so they shouldn't be pissed. And as a sweetener the Kickstarter folks get it for free preventing them from being pissed. The need from secrecy I think comes from the HR reaction. People probably wouldn't have reacted so well if they had been like "Hey we're making an expansion more details to come folks!". There would have been back lash. "What do you mean expansion! We already paid blah blah blah." By just dumping this out here for everyone already ready to go with discounts in hand. It certainly makes it more appealing to everyone." stolen from reddit, makes a decent amount of sense
yeah they said they intend on doing that just steam people havent gotten around to it, so if i didnt want to buy the new version im stuck with a game that will sooner or later have a dead online. fucking COOL UBER
37 fucking euros? What the hell is wrong with them. [editline]18th August 2015[/editline]
also from what i can tell, eventually PA original will be removed from sale
That's so fucking bullshit (if that happens anyway)
That is what I expected i would be getting when i got it, instead i still have to pay 13 dollars on top of what I paid to get some shit, even though currently it mostly looks the same when i first got it a year ago but with new dlc commanders. Fuck Uber.
officially cant buy original PA anymore now
officially cant buy original PA anymore now
Ehh, I kinda feel ripped off, I can't even ask for a refund.
What the fuck is this? All these features should have been free patches. To the Beta version. The original game is half-baked and now they want people to buy it again?
I hope this game flops and the company goes bust! The cheek to try and get people to buy the rest of a incomplete game!
I hope this game flops and the company goes bust! The cheek to try and get people to buy the rest of a incomplete game!
They still have a family to feed and all that, I don't really hate Uber or anything and I would never wish for their company to fail, I'm just dissapointed in how they handled everything. (sorry if I'm not being too clear, I'm kinda sleepy)

frankly, uber was kinda between a rock and a hard place with PA PA was released way too early on early access, so it had shitty steam reviews, people gave it a chance and then would never come back the backlash to human resources most likely made them not want to announce anything realistically this was probably their best bet to get new players interested
I've got an inside source at Uber and this is pretty much the situation. They didn't release PA with all the features they wanted, and Titans is a chance to try to give PA new life. Right now PA's review scores are based largely off of how it was at launch, and they've made a boatload of updates since. With Titans being a standalone release they hope they can get fresh reviews that take into account all the new features they've been adding over the past year. That's why they're also closing sales on the original PA, because they acknowledge that it wasn't the product it should have been, and Titans is what PA was meant to be. As for charging for it, the other problem Uber's faced with is that they are running out of money, and Titans is pretty much their last chance to save the company.
(sorry if I'm not being too clear, I'm kinda sleepy)
They added features that were supposed to be in the main game, to another title, which you have to pay again to play. which is cheaper than some people paid the game for.
