The "expansion" adds 16 units and a new feature with 5 units in it
hardly worth 13 USD tbh
And a fair few under the hood improvements, not sure if they moved the addition of elevation that is in TITANS to base PA or not, but TITANS plays almost like a new game compared to "old" PA as of when I last installed PA last month.
As I said In The News Node, to someone who was comparing it to SupCom, its still not quite as good as that, but it's definitely a lot closer now.
and the new map features
and the new notifications
and bounty mode
Not a "different" game, sorry. It basically uses the old one, adding platforms to bases and new units.
I doubt platforms even affect vision. Is not worth the money, not even 13 USD. 5 or 7, maybe.

go put a quarter in a jar every day
you'll have titans by like october 10th
crypto please stop.
You know how you brought up those examples of games that also did this? Lemme educate you on why this is a bullshit stand-alone.
Dawn of War and DoW 2: Every expansion in this series added at least one entirely new faction and new units for the existing faction. As well as signifigant single player content. (Maybe aside from Soulstorm, that did feel a bit re-hashey of Dark Crusade.)
Company of Heroes: Similar to the DoW series, Opposing Fronts adds two entirely new factions and campaigns, and while Tales of Valor may not have as much as OF, it still adds a good amount of Single-Player content.
Total Annihilation: I'm going to assume here you're referring to Kingdoms, which, as far as I can tell is a pretty far cry from the big stompy robots of the original TA.
Starcraft 2: While I don't really agree with the small amount of units that were added in myself, the expansions still get huge campaigns which could more than make up for it for most people.
TITANS, on the other hand, adds like, what, a tutorial, one new mode, 16 units for the game's single faction and a new feature with 5 new units for it? No fucking thanks.
"i haven't played titans and i'm only repeating what other people are saying"
bounty mode changes the game immensely
but ok sit there posting about how 13 dollars is some unimaginable affront
you can keep fanboying over it
it's not changing our opinion or the highly helpful negatives
What is bounty mode? I can't find anything saying what it actually is

You mean we can't be negative in a forum... in the thread... made about Planetary Annihilation?
And it is not even about the money, it is also about the "fuck you this next patch you are gona buy the complete game again if you want it" kick into our collective teeth. Not cool.

also not everyone has moneys
Overwatch is already what SMNC should have been, so I hope this crashes really hard and someone just does a planetary RTS done as it has to be, with no dev bullshit at least (and I don0't even play Overwatch but loved SMNC). Devs these days are becoming crappier and crappier holy shit, just grabbing and running, or even worse, staying and grabbing even more. And people actually SUPPORTS them. I can't get it.

blah blah blah a quarter a day blah blah blah
there was no option better than "not great" for uber.
option a: release this as free patch, but critical reception of PA is still bad, not enough money to support servers and the company itself, uber goes bankrupt
option b: paid dlc release "waaah paid dlc fuck uber balh blah blah", critical reception of PA still bad, maybe enough money to survive?
option c: new release heavily discounted for people who already own it, and free for kickstarter backers, start fresh with critical reception representing how it exists today, new sales give enough money for uber to not die
option c was their best choice

people need to lose their livelihood amirite
because everyone gets a quarter a day right? not everyone has a job
because everyone gets a quarter a day right? not everyone has a job
how did they afford planetary annihilation to begin with then
then maybe if you don't have a job you shouldn't be complaining that something people worked on for 10 months costs money??
because everyone gets a quarter a day right? not everyone has a job
"Saving 14 dollars in 2 months is impossible if you don't have a job."
like honestly if you can't set aside a quarter a day for 2 months
you've got more important things than bitching about the price of video games
Can we stop this discussion already?
People dislike what UberEnt did.
If you want to buy Planetary Annihilation TITANS go, nobody stops you. Just stop bragging about people's money.

also how am I supposed to set aside a quarter if I don't even have 1 quarter

Option d: make a fucking good game or at least a decent EA so you get no negative reviews in first place . I am not paying their fucking incompetence, I already did once.
You could even add the option of not overhyping stuff you can barely get working.
And people still going on with the fucking price. It is about the act of PAYING for a "stand-alone" just because they suck at managing their games. Hope they are taken away from developing soon if they dont improve.
I dunno about you guys but I think it was 13$ well spent on Titans for me
I dunno about you guys but I think it was 13$ well spent on Titans for me
I'm debating getting it myself because I've tried some of the new features through that "work around" that guy on the Official PA forums posted and I actually liked many of them particularly the Ragnarok because I'm admittedly a fan of weapons that have the potential to be used for scorched earth tactics.
Getting ready to lose a planet to another player? Just build one or more Ragnaroks on it and blow it all up because if I can't have it, then he can't have it either and it also takes out any units he has on or over that planet.

The Titan units are fucking AWESOME and a great addition. I think it's worth 13$ just for those units.
Can you save single player games yet? I'd buy Titan if you can save single player...

They've always been saved though?
Devils advocate (since i dont like myself) for anyone who wants to answer: You are in uber's position, nearly bankrupt, and have this new content to release. What course of action do you take?
