I'm put off again. Hard AI doesn't do anything, and when playing on one difficulty tick above that it feels like there's 15 enemy players because I don't think they scripted any multi-tasking simulation. The AI just does everything instantaneously, everywhere.

Also, update with crash fixes and stuff - https://forums.uberent.com/threads/titans-update-86422-hotfix-86765.70065/
In terms of an RTS I feel like it falls kind of short. I played the shit out of Supreme Commander 2 and it gets even better with the 2013 mod. In has way more content and is cheaper. The only thing PA has that trumps the rest is a gimmicky planet system. It's cool and all, but it doesn't feel like I'm doing anything. These "planets" are the size of small moons. There's no diversity between units. Plus I've pretty much broken the game with a play style that obliterates anything. Build a few rows of energy generators, get like 12 metal extractors, 8 bot factories, and just churn out exploding bots. Then roll into the enemies based and steam roll his commander. I can beat a game in around 5 mins.

And please, tell me how there is no diversity. REALLY. AOE bot, fast bot, arty bot, healing bot, heavy bot, sniper bot, nanobots that are super fun, rocket bots, etc. And those are only bots. Tanks are all different in feel and use. And lol, if you say that planets are small, its just because you CHOOSE small planet. You can make 1300 radius planet and beyond, and those are HUGE. If you want to play on big maps, CHOOSE THEM.

I've always thought that if somebody remade the first Supreme Commander, but on the way better SupCom2 engine, it would be the perfect game and it seems this is just that.

The bot is a god damn war machine. Within 20 mins it will hit the 2013 unit cap. At that point most of us are hitting our cap too. Every 1 second IRL will take 5 seconds in game. It's slo-mo. Best RTS mod besides the community patch for AoE II imo.
Man I can't believe I forgot I kickstarted PA and then never bothered to play it. Since I got titans for free I started out a campaign earlier and gave it a brief shot. Really have no idea what I'm doing. I'm really terrible at this game.

Good advice is to always expand and have mobile army rather than static defence.
Just started playing this. I have to say one thing that the Titans standalone is a huge improvement over the first. It's really what the first game should have been. It's a shame that Uber had to charge as much as they did for it. But I can't complain, I got a phat discount on it and paid what would be considered a high end DLC price for it. I don't know if its any better optimized as I ran the game off of my new sooper comp and it ran as smooth as silk with lots of carnage on screen, no hiccups. However, gameplay wise, the Titan units do make for much more interesting End Game battles and spectacles. They really should have been in the base game. They probably should have hyped this as a Mega update for the base game and not a Standalone. But it is what it is. For anyone who didn't buy into the first one, if you simply must have a big ass sci-fi RTS fix that isn't Supcom:FA, then PA:Titans is an alright game to consider.
I really hate when people say what should or shouldn't be. All people that were in community know that experimental units were a no-no since beggining for PA. At least in a way they are in FAF. Anyway, they never were promised. So far what I think we need more is better biomes and more of them. So maps are more alive and new. Maybe in update anytime soon.
Hey so I brought PA: T around last week and I was wondering if anyone would like to have some games. I haven't played online yet though.
If you are looking for games with better people install PAStats mod from PAMM (PA Mod Manager). You will have irc like chat in main menu thanks to it. You can also check out the chat on PALobby.com. Also, there is Realm clan, Prometheans Clan, etc. Realm has rather active teamspeak.
Is this game worth $1? Is it the old version of the game or something?

Of course the old version is worth 1 buck. It's still a good game to play.

That cube looks epic.
That cube looks epic.
As far as I know its done with a trick in map editor, platforms around planet that is INSIDE cube and is only water so fps is ok. Map editor is pretty powerful.
I'm mostly impressed by how it seems to work fine in gameplay. You can even see some artillery shots going around the most right edge :v:
https://www.humblebundle.com 66% off for Titans, for anyone without PA:T.
So how's the game with the expansion? Is it what it's supposed to be/really good now?
If you like strategy, its good.
https://www.humblebundle.com 66% off for Titans, for anyone without PA:T.
Reckon that would stack with the current discount on steam?
Bumping this thread from the dead. I got some stuff in the mail. [t]http://i.imgur.com/5mjLcbm.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Zps8biC.jpg[/t] (Back of the shirt.) My camera is not the best, the shirt has a nice orange color. The figures are cheap quality, the box is nice, the DVD has the soundtrack (mp3/wave) and install files for Win/Linux/OSX. Oh and there is a printed letter inside that just says thanks etc.. Overall probably not worth the extra (even with alpha access etc.) but the shirt is nice although also not the best quality, acceptable.
Got the above as per Mitsuma Whole thing is completely underwhelming, swear there was meant to be a USB key with it but apparently not. White plastic figurines are all bent / damaged, the box the figurines & CD comes in is made out of incredibly shit paper ( but nicely printed ), tore the damn thing when opening it. CD is literally in a paper sleeve. Haven't worn the shirt yet. Absolutely not worth the $120, but hey ho.
I guess they HAD to get something out there to fulfill the promises while being low on money.
Great fucking game, for free hell I might get Titans as well.
Great fucking game, for free hell I might get Titans as well.
How is the pathfinding? Last time I played with some people online, It was absolutely terrible.

That's pretty disappointing.
