Now that I've recently got a job I might end up investing an extra $20 to upgrade my package to alpha. I hope I can, I really really want to play it no matter how buggy it is.
is there a way to convert the keys to steamkeys yet?
Steam is being put off until the 13th.
Is the steam price gonna be 60 or is it gonna be lower like 20?
Insofar this plays just like Supreme commander or Totall Annhilation with jsut the T1 and T2 stuff. While it has its fair share of mechanical issues which will get patched in due time, one thing I think it does need is more lategame. Something to invest your large economy into besides just more robots, but thats just me, I always did like the T3 experimetal fuckyourshit-mo-tron and it's way of causing wreck and ruin to the world around it.

The whole colonizing other worlds and smashing them into each other is still missing and I'm sure that's not the only thing you can do.
Just discovered I got my key but no email, thanks to one of the uber employees commenting on it on reddit, if you're in the alpha but not recieved your email try checking your account with Uber since it may have updated. Man I'm so hyped to pay this, I spent so much time on TA as a kid, stealing one of the enemy constructors with your commander and stealing their designs and shit.
Man I'm so damn excited, I would stomach the alpha if not for the fact that I just love TA so god damn much. Also I love how the lighting works. It's so weird to think that the planet's lighting is actually correct, and it's not just the same light level all over the world.
This is where Kickstarter really shines. I (and thousands of others) made this possible. If it hadn't been for this Kickstarter Supreme Commander Forged Alliance might have been the very last TA-style RTS we'd have ever played.
So do you get the unique commanders in teh Alpha if you paid enough to get em? Like the Theta commander and stuff.

Waiting to able to play on my 32-bit shitbox. :(
I spent the last few days thinking metal extractors had to be on the decals. Protip: They don't. After finding this out, I managed to make a massive army filled with tier 2 bots and managed to completely rip apart my opponents < 30 minutes
Damn. Turns out I backed the beta, and not the Alpha.
So my alpha crashes every time I press play in the launcher, I get PA.exe has stopped responding, and I'm not sure what to do...

I wanna see superunits, with four legs, as seen in this quickly drawn [sub]artist's[/sub] portrayal [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/pjUisV.png[/t]
What would be Neat is if you could find Incredibly powerful super unit type things as ancient constructs left behind from a previous war that you could re-activate and use. This would provide an almost risk/reward type secnario. Do you spend resources scouting the galaxy for these superweapons or bolster your current position. And once you FIND one do you have enough time and resources to get it working again? And what happens if you use it and find your enemy was building up a much bigger traditional army and your efforts were wasted? Or you could just faceroll them with the cool as fuck gigantic ancient tech robot.
Help, I have no idea what I'm doing. Could be because I've never really played RTS games that much, except WiC.

There was a multiplayer map with an anmanned Alien mech, that you could fight to, recrew, then fight with it, or take it apart and reverse engineer it's bit and make more of them. Something like that in Planetary Annihilation would be great.

Your commander is the key point in this game, he builds your base at first. You have four types of unit. Land, Air, Sea and bot. Bots are basically cooler land units. The land factory builds land units and the land builder which can build the advanced land factory, same for bot, air and Sea. There are two resources, metal and power which are generated by their respective structures. Unlike some other games this game works by you drain resources over time to build units as opposed to paying a flat cost. You can generate resources faster than you drain the resources to build them. Builders can assist the factories to build units faster, this drains the resources over time faster too. The map is a Sphere.
