"You get Kaioken! And you get Kaioken! Everybody gets Kaioken!!"
Also let us all pray that the modding gods descend upon this game so we can at least have hair changes when going Super Saiyan.
Picked this up for my PS4 today. I've never played a DBZ game before so I don't know what I'm doing, I just button mash the light and heavy attacks. Can't figure out for the life of me how to guard properly or how my character teleports. I think I teleport when I hit X at the right time, but it's hard to time things right.
I'm enjoying it except for 2 things.
1) The overworld. It's a small circular island split into 3 loading screens...really?
2) When I started the game and kept dying to the first guy I went back to the overworld to switch to my pre-order armor but instead of taking me back just before Trunks starts the mission it took me back to when I had to talk to all the other time protector's first...I just wanted to swap armor...
it's already out on consoles? damn, pc doesn't release until friday.
Yea it's been out for 2 days I think.
I'm really enjoying this so far. But I have one more complaint I have to make. The repetitive combat scenarios. Pretty much every scenario you're fighting multiple people and more often than not after you defeat them they come right back which is just delaying your victory and making combat frustrating. the 1v1s aren't bad. But when the minions respawn repeatedly...I get super frustrated.

I've been watching streams, looks really fun.
Game comes out in under an hour for PC, they bumped up the release date!
That explains why it says it is one hour from now. I just pre-ordered it :v: good timing.

Since multi-posts don't bump the thread:
Xenoverse for PC released early, it's playable, go unpack your pre-loads on Steam!
Ugh, I can't decide whether or not to get this game. If I do, I'm getting it on PS4. What do you guys who've played it so far think of it?
Pretty sure I havent played a DBZ game since maybe Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Or 2. I can't remember, it was on the PS2 though and it was a long time ago. Every time I see gameplay for this game though the fighting seems... off, sort of. It looks almost like an MMO.

AAAAAA!
Preallocate faster steam..
FASTER
jesus, its taking so long to decrypt its faster just to re-download it.
Does the PS4 version require you to have PS+ for all modes?
I'm paranoid since Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare wouldn't even let me play local multiplayer.
Started playing.
Friend got it as well so I'm going to wait for him, does anyone know when you can start playing with friends?
I'm up to the first PQ.
I'm at the first PQ, but flying through the time gate does nothing.

also my Ki blasts are invisable

Oh I figured it out, you need to lock onto it :v:
Can you only have one master? i fear getting Galick Gun has locked me out of other neat stuff :v:
For anyone who has the game, let me know how it runs on PC, and how the good the online is.
Mine runs just fine at 60fps with everything on full!
I'm unsure if multiplayer is Peer to Peer or not, but only connection info you get is 4 bars, but i mean i did a fight with people just fine, didnt notice anything my end.

even managed to record at 30-40fps at 1080. My rig is kinda out-dated but eh, the optimization is great!
Watched a couple hours of stream play. I just don't think it's worth $50. Opinions on it?

you can change masters at any time

streams didn't do it justice imo
it's actually quite fun and plays really well on pc, it hardly feels like it's a port.
plus i can be ss4 vegeta

Man, I am not a veteran of fighting games. The closest I've got in terms of experience is Super Smash Bros, and that doesn't really help in this game. :v:
I thought I had the hang of it when I wiped the floor with Raditz, taking almost no damage, and then I get to Nappa+Vegeta and I keep getting my shit kicked in.
That's Raditz for you, I guess.
Any helpful tips or guides?
Heads up you can't go online till you finish the Sayian Saga, also don't skip the PQ's.
If you skip the PQ's you'll be drastically underleveled for the Time Cop stages and stuff like Nappa and Vegeta will poop on you.
Also get ready for the ultra fun Ginyu part. Warning, it's not ultra fun at all.

It's a game that has kind of clunky controls and can be insanely frustrating at times but when things click it feels amazing. The online is pretty fun and is the main draw to it.
Just be aware you're going to have trouble at parts and you're gonna probably be bad at it for awhile.
if anyone wants me to host parallel quests for them feel free to add me on steam.
[editline]a[/editline]apparently when I host my game just crashes. I think it's my shitty internet somehow crashing my game.

You were right about the PQs. Got me up to speed. But I won't worry about the Ginyu Force; I've played games like Dwarf Fortress and Dark Souls, I'm well acquainted with this "fun".
Also, more specific question; when is it appropriate to block enemy attacks? It can't be used to break out of combos, and it's often easier to just blitz the enemy instead; M1-ing the shit out of them has been fairly effective at stopping combos from happening in the first place- so far. I feel like at some point this won't be viable, and I'll need the block.
I made a Majin named Bubblegum, only afterwards did I realise I should've named it Buubblegum.
Got it. Played a bit. Wanted to be a Male Maijin, but it felt way too slow for my comfort.
Ended up making a Male Saiyan and liking how it felt. I don't care if people call it generic. As long as I can get the skill that turns my enemy into chocolate as a Saiyan, I'll be happy.
Love how fast pace this game plays. Port seems pretty good too. There's nothing better than launching your opponent far far into the distance and then you rush him down and deliver one last punch, launching him even further away.
Only gripe is that you can't preview outfits at the store and the camera can get pretty wonky in tight spaces.
I don't usually buy games at release, but dang it's Dragonball.
Holy cow trying to get the Super Sayian skill is annoyingly random. I've been trying to get it for the past 3 hours and haven't gotten it :v:
Oh well nice XP.
Fuck yes it's out! Getting now.
I've been waiting so long for this game it feels like

It's GT though, most DBZ fans are really against it since it's not canon.
I'm a diehard dragonball fan that hates GT but I could care less about this game being canon because it's a video game.
