I'd watch Kai but the voices are all weird and different, I need the Funimation voices in the Remastered version.
In all honesty dude, I strongly recommend that you pick up Kai, as not only does the reduced filler greatly improve the overall pacing of the show, but Funimation's dub for Kai is a MASSIVE improvement over their dub of Z. [sp]Though that's not really hard to do considering just how bad the Z dub was (the Freeza and Cell arcs being the worst offenders).[/sp]
Man I fucking hate the friendly NPCs in this game. Makes fights waaaay harder because they go out of their way to mess up your combo chains.
Anyone else thinking about getting Xenoverse 2? I probably grab it since I don't even have the first game anyways but I'm still kinda stumped. The gameplay looks a lot like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 with some diferences here and there. Also being able to create your own custom character really is a high sale point to me along with the other characters like Super Sayain Bardock and Golden Frieza.

One fight, if i'm fighting multiple they'll only ki blast or cheap shot me when i'm done comboing someone else as they 'wait their turn'. In another fight, i'm getting Buu'd on or styled on by 3 people simultaneously (and naturally can't bring any teammates into the mission). One fight, they'll sit there as I pull out an Ultimate and either just sidestep it or eat it head on, and in another fight, they'll immediately Burst Dash and Stamina Break me before I can even fire it off, and then combo me into paste with no relenting.
Alright I have a question about the co-op in this game; Is it like Xenoverse 1 where you can just run chump missions with others or could I, theoretically, play through the main storyline with my younger brother? Would I have to beat it single-player first to do so? Would we both?

There's Parallel Quests just like the first game that can be co-oped, and after beating the Cell Saga in the story, Expert Missions unlock which allow for like six players simultaneously against raid boss equivalents. So you can't really co-op the whole game, sorry.
Man I just saw the Human transformation, what the hell is that lol. Might as well just get Kaio Ken, I'm not sure why you'd use the human exclusive one. Does it save stamina or something since you don't have to dash?
It's the only transform has built in super armor now that it's been removed from almost all supers and most ults, also has pretty nuts range for melee.
It's the only transform has built in super armor now that it's been removed from almost all supers and most ults, also has pretty nuts range for melee.
I heard the super armor comes from a S.Soul called "Flying Nimbus". I have it and it says something like "[When Master of Nimbus is active] Adds super armor". Would it add more!?
Yes (until someone rages about it and they nerf it) Most of the moves with super armor now are utility bridgers or motion moves, so most damagers that auto stuff things either have to be found or boosted with a soul to make them "true" Essentially now you want a bridger (superfast super like x4 Kao Kame), a panic stunner/pusher or escape (angry shout, teleport) a stamina buster like Dodorin Headbutt, and guaranteed finisher like Big Bang Kame, and then whatever suits your race or playstyle best in the last slot Anything with that much super armor will be a big deal now if you intend to keep a power playstyle similar to 1 which benefits saiyans and majins, as opposed to the "chain of knockdowns" and side teleport+ short combo that benefits humans and arcosians, with namekians kind of being in the middle.
Ah, didn't know there was a Xenoverse thread. Are we posting characters? Let's post characters. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/227822764004808278/64146959FE5B8F5484698F1ED05E937342E17B94/[/t] I think the name "Razgriz" is an appropriate name for a Saiyan, yes? I need to find Super God Fist.
I remember that in the first game, like half of the moves made the AI basically invincible temporarily
I remember that in the first game, like half of the moves made the AI basically invincible temporarily
Ultimates have Super Armor where the user, player or AI, is counted as 'blocking' when hit. Hitting them while blocked drains their stamina slowly, but certain attacks could do enough damage to empty it entirely and make them vulnerable. And while the AI had infinite ki (or at least on certain missions), they sure as hell didn't have infinite stamina and often wasted it on multiple Evasives or Vanishes until they were wide open for a large beatdown. So in Xenoverse 2, the new Stamina Break essentially is both a means to get off long combos on vulnerable foes if you can land it, and an invaluable counter against Ultimates. See someone pull off an Ultimate, you can get behind them and Stamina Break, cancelling out the Ultimate altogether and leaving them wide open. Problem is now the AI not only tries to preserve their stamina so they don't foolishly or easily get broken/drained, but when the AI for a mission is on 'hard', they will stamina break you as you set up an Ultimate if they're not focusing on someone else or the Ultimate's fast/safe enough to pull off before they can get too close. And unfortunately, the new Burst Dash system means that if they have stamina of their own, they can almost instantly be on you from across the field to break you. So basically, stamina break or empty the AI when they're in "hard" settings, don't be too close to them so they can just easily fly over and break you, and then you can use an Ultimate. For most missions or at least early ones, though, the AI is more normal, so they'll just attack your super armor or brainlessly float around trying to dodge it. Just don't ever set off an Ultimate next to someone if it has a long start-up, even the normal AI can stamina break you.
Having to redo all the tutorial shit and the entire story really kills my desire to make alts any time soon. I hope enough people have a problem with that for them to update it to make it work a bit more like the first game. Otherwise I've really liked this game so far.
I think the upcoming patch makes it so you don't have to. Now, i don't know too much about Xenoverse 1 but did certain moves have an extra benefit such as going through blocks or guardbreaking? I'm going to name some characters using Ace Combat Aces, seeing how my main is called Razgriz. (Although i should really had called her "Blaze").

It also has armor when attacking in XV1 and I think they added more in XV2. Also, I'm loving the "combo" strikes. Especially since you can change them with the stick on input. My favorite so far is Ginyu Force Combo. It's so flashy and has 3 variants. I love it. Lots of fun new moves. Zarbon's Evasion (Bloody Counter) is pretty awesome too.
i'm regretting not starting up the guru house missions at the beginning of the game now i'm level 80, doing various parallel quests after completing all the tutors, expert missions, advancement tests and other time rift quest lines, but I have to grind Guru's stupid dragon ball retrievals endlessly to finish up and go to post game it's infurating, each mission seems to only give 8% and i'm fairly certain that unless there's more unique missions on the second loop, i'll have to do these same several missions a third time
So there is a mod out to unlock all characters from the start, but it also unlocks the Trunks from the Deluxe edition :v: May also unlock Black but I don't know, I had him already from pre-ordering.
virtually every mod works for XV works for XV2.
So when you beat the main story [sp]The hologram of the last Hero is replaced by you[/sp] [editline]1st November 2016[/editline] Also for those who don't know, two more actors from TeamFourStar have Character voices 12 is KaiserNeko 15 is Lanipator And like with Xenoverse 1 Takahata101 is voice 8.

But I also have Deluxe Edition Trunks. I think either he was added in as an apology for the initial Black bug, or something weird's going on with my save.

preeeeeety much. Basically any time you get a z rank in ANY mission, it will progress the quest. Again. and again and more again and some more after that also again
I need the damn eggs
I completed one of the guru house missions (at the point when it just loops infinitly) and got the message "GURU'S HOUSE IS EXTREMELY SECURE!"
How do I unlock Broly as a mentor? hes the only one I haven't finished. Also the Time Eggs, I've done everything to get them, but I haven't got them?

After which he'll be standing on a mushroom in the mushroom forest place thing.

Hercule's require getting him to reset his accomplishment ring and tell you you're the best "bodyguard" he's ever seen (next to him) and complete all the Saiya Squad tests, it is possible to break this by completing Hercule's part before SS part, in which case you'll be waiting for a patch.
I haven't done all of Hercule's yet, I did the Squad missions first, which according to a little googling is the only thing you have to do to get the Egg, you don't need to beat all of Hercule's combo challanges.
