God damn that, I suck at combos.
God damn that, I suck at combos.
mine got filled by doing a weekend raid event. it counted other people's attacks and combos towards my own, so when everyone was spamming huge ultimate attacks, it racked up quick.

For the life of me I can't get consistent QQ Bangs to make an efficient minmax setup, and i'd probably have to dragon ball my stats some time anyway.
min max
Based on your matrix I'm going to say
I do not think that word means what you think it means
min-maxing would be you put 125 into two stats and 82 into another and then made a qq bang that is +5 in those three stats and -2 in the other three, OR +3 in those stats and no negatives at all, which is apparently the max positive differential you can have.
Well I decided to try and fix X1 after I lost my characters about a year ago and Jesus Christ I forget what a pain in the arse it was to try and get transformations or just about anything to drop!!
They really need to patch the PC version.
Lots of mid-quest crashes, random disconnects and bosses going out-of-bounds in Expert Missions. Do the console versions have similar problems like these?
Pretty clear across the board this game should have released in december or january.
I think the name "Razgriz" is an appropriate name for a Saiyan, yes?
If your name isn't some kind of plant or vegetable you're no real Saiyan.
This game has a problem with Ultimates. It gets old when you hit an ult and it still won't land. I tried Saiyan Spirit three times and it whiffed each time, leading me to get guard broken. They need to fix that ASAP.

Worse I've seen is Super Dragon Fist. Take 5 bars and whiffs. They need to add more stagger and work on hitboxes.
I think Time Skip really needs a buff. It is way too hard to land on someone for it to do the same damage as every other strike ultimate.

Some Ultimates come out fast, like Justice Combination (which is the most efficient Striker ult hands down), but the thing about other ults is that enemies are no longer staggered for excess periods just to set up most ults, with certain exceptions like Time Stop or Spirit Sword. If you want to reliably hit someone with the full attack like the aforementioned Super Dragon Fist in alpha's post, you have to Stamina Break a foe and knock them back or deliver the Ult's starter hit right then and there so they have no hope of recovery in time. It means you actually have to set them up to land them now instead of just smacking someone and letting the rest take care of itself like in XV1. They did a lot of weird choices in trying to curb ultimate spam/abuse. Even Justice Combo's tracking is a little wonk, though, but if you have allies, someone's inevitably going to knock them out of the stun before you get the combo though.
But if you do land a Super Dragon Fist, it's pretty much going to eat most of a health bar.

For an attack that is supposedly very quick, the start-up animation is so dumb. If an ultimate -NEEDS- a guard break to hit, it sucks.
Also, I've found that 20X Kaioken Kamehameha never hits because the enemy always recovers before the beam hits.
Stamina Break is a sure fire to link Ults to the enemy, especially close range Ki Ults. Most Strike Ults can be linked into a combo. Another more reliable way to link is just before the last hit of the basic combo (before your character chases their target). It's one of the places I found in combos that work the best to link a move to.
But you can also use a knockback. For quick startup beam Ults like Super Kamehameha or Full Power Energy Wave (the new common Ult that is just a yellow Ki beam), knocking them back and rapidly activating it results in a hit on them. It can miss if you are too high up (target falls down outside the beam range), time it badly or a NPC/Teammate knocks them away.
The only Ults I know that still have XV1-like stagger (or can get you stuck in it) is Maiden Blast (Pan's ult) and Super Electric Strike (17's green slash ult). You cannot get close to those during their startup. Pan's locks you up in her bubble with multiple low damage hits and 17's can even stagger you from behind the user.
This is all from personal experimentation. Their could be other ways.
Dragon Ball Super spoilers [sp]Vegito used the Final Kamehameha in the latest episode, which until now was a move only seen in Video games[/sp]

I know it wouldn't make much sense (heck it doesn't make much sense for there to be more Saiyans in Xenoverse the first place)
But I'd like SSG and SSB to be an unlock-able transformations for Sayian characters, maybe have it be part of a Quest chain with Goku or Beerus or something.
There are mods out there that replace existing transformations with them, but can't really use those online.
As it stands, Potential Unleashed is generally safer and better to use than any SSj form for Saiyans besides Future Super Saiyan (which is a tweaked SSj1 but with higher ki gain), anyway. While Super Vegeta 2 has more ki damage and Super Saiyan 2/3 has more strike damage, along with extra bonuses (something about a free vanish on teleporting ults or something), their ki gain rate crippling makes them rather dangerous to use. Meanwhile Kaioken drains your stamina of course but I think x20 gives you infinite vanish, which rocks for Majins since while their durability depends on their stamina, if they stamina break from Kaioken then they regain it really fast, giving them some control. For anyone else, though, the Stamina drain can also cripple you in a big battle.
Potential Unleashed has just about the same amount of power as Kaioken x20 with no additonal benefits, but with absolutely no lowered ki gain nor any sort of stamina drain; its biggest 'weakness' is that it needs 5 bars to activate. It means that for Saiyans, Future Super Saiyan and Potential Unleashed are hands down the best transformations unless you want to play risk and reward for optimizing damage output with the other two forms. While other races could benefit from more forms, I doubt they'll get jackshit, but if SSG and SSB ever get added for Saiyans, they'll probably get hit with some large consequence to make them a risk for their power.
I also just like the Blue and Red hair, LMAO. I guess I could just change my character's hair colour.
PU is safer, but it is most certainly not better.
A Saiyan smart enough to cultivate three bars of Ki and whom has spent points into Ki to begin with can literally erase an entire maxed life bar without having to stamina break an opponent. Full charge Hammer x 2 if on the ground or just one in the air > special beam cannon > final explosion_giant storm will outright KO anyone WITHOUT Saiyan damage enhancement unless they're a full health Namekian.
For players with good connections and fast reflexes, there's really no contest between the two, as a full or close to full ki bar will literally end the match in one combo with a one on one situation, and for group battles, welp the spam potential is pretty obvious when you have multiple stacking multiplicative bonuses.
I just like potential unleashed the most because I think the effect is cool.
I kinda wish they went nutso with the forms.

Does anyone know what that one-handed ki blast move you use against Nappa in a cutscene early in the game is called? Or is that just for the cutscene?
I thought it looked really cool and it'd be weird if it was cutscene only
saw Xenoverse 2 was on sale
ordered it right away

Cutscene only sadly. And it feels unique to that cutscene since all other ki wave the CaC uses are blue but the one used against Nappa has some green in it. Looking at it in my screenshots, it feels like it's blending with the BG or the lightning of the cutscene overall that gives it such a powerful look.
I noticed a lot of engine cutscene use extra effects and everything feels more sparkly. XV2 in general is a lot more bright. The basic Kamehameha fully charged has some little tones of green in the sparks that go around it.
Some of the new Supers and Ults have some really good looking colors. Especially Slug's Twin Darkness and Zarbon's Elegant Blaster both mix purple and yellow in different ways and it's really pretty.

Closest attack to it is the ki ultimate skill Final Shine and it has a green-ish color to it.
Oh yeah. Forgot about that ult. I still have to unlock the damn thing. Or find it. Should have bought when it was on the TP Shop on day 1.
Have they patched it so you don't have to do the campaign all over again on another character?
No they have not, and they broke EPs pretty bad.
The timebreaker ki balls don't auto explode anymore at random, but now the missions just straight up crash, same for some of the new PQs (by new I mean XV2 pqs)
Kind of a mixed bag, and ps4 players are reporting monster lag.
