What the actual fuck was that.
Man how do those pro players aim like that... I can't aim worth shit with a controller. Most of my time spent playing Halo is screaming loudly because I can't get used to aiming with a thumbstick...
This is the biggest joke I've ever heard. How does anyone think its a good idea to model a pistol as a brick and use a normal for details you can model. Normal maps are for small details and optimization not for "classic feel". This is such a failure of a remake imo.
Uhm. The default magnum has geo where necessary. The Halo 1 variant overuses normals because back in Halo 1 the engine couldn't handle the extra geo. The redone version makes perfect sense because they wanted it to look almost exactly like the original. I don't understand why you are complaining. It just emulates the thumbstick afaik so you'd still have funky ass acceleration and limits. You couldn't go from whipping around really fast to controlled movements due to how consoles handle input. [editline]blard[/editline] Fuck me, £115? I'd rather just stick to a controller.
Its almost like a mission or two with critial plot points were cut from the game. I wonder if time constraints hsf anything to do with it. As far the marketing goes they did the same things with halo's 3-4. Otherwise i enjoyed the campaign
the campaign missions are fucking gorgeous, my god. Genesis and the Covenant city on Sanghelios are two of the most visually appealing video game levels I've seen in some time. [sp]plus the part on the space elevator with the guardian flying around that shit was baller[/sp]
There is definitely a mission missing on Blue Team's side of the story.
more like 3+ missions missing from Blue Team the blue team missions were so fucking good too

Oh I know there are most likely more missing for Blue Team but in the game we got there is defiantly an important mission missing on their end. Even Osiris seems to be missing a mission.
Wish you can create/join more than 1 spartan company. I had to resign from the facepunch one to join one my friends made.
I wonder why so much is missing for Blue Team It just makes it look so damn bad because of Fireteam Osiris hogging the spotlight, like a bunch of fanfiction OCs with that cool canon guy everyone likes having to [sp]save the heroes[/sp] and shit
The way they paced out the story was absolute pants. It could have been so much better but it just feels like so much was cut and rushed out. [editline]29th October 2015[/editline] The parts where you could walk around a camp or town were pretty cool and I hope there's more of that in the future.
Got 3 of us FPer in a lobby anyone wanna join us.

Its 2015, rose tinted glasses only go so far
Because everything in the normal could be modeled and it would look 100% better than a normal. Its 2015, rose tinted glasses only go so far
Again, the idea was to keep the model almost exactly the same. The normals are only there so the model looks proper in the engine, as the lighting is composed of more than just cube maps ala Halo 1.
Because everything in the normal could be modeled and it would look 100% better than a normal. Its 2015, rose tinted glasses only go so far
You're missing the whole fucking point of the weapon skin.
The Campaign plot was fanfic tier writing. Gameplay however was actually pretty fun. The AI was often hilariously bad, but made boss fights easier (sometimes) On co-op the game is freaking cheese
Y'know, honestly, at this point I feel like fanfic has a bad rap with how much honest-to-god shit gets pushed into the mainstream. Is there bad fanfic? You bet, and there's loads of it. Is there good fanfic? Yes, and it gets smeared with the reputation of the shit, despite often being on par with published work or even just better than the mediocre crap that you see in games/TV/books.

Xim seems like a great thing until you see the price tag
this game mirrors Halo 2 like completely. story is pretty disappointing with what seems to be a lot of promise and cut content but still manages to bridge the story to a sequel and remain extremely fun to play. in other words, seems they got over ambitious with what they wanted the game to be and settled on this. which isn't a bad thing, but a little disappointing knowing it could be something greater then the multiplayer is fantastic and is arguably the best halo multiplayer since halo 2. also seeing the size difference between the s2's and s4's is freakin sweet
Can't really find the time to play the game, really hope I do however. Still disappointed that Blue team is blue and not like they were in the books: (Green and Identical)
I can get behind giving them all different armor because when you've got all that tech at your disposal you might as well trick out your gear and make them more interesting to look at, but man did they really have to go and make them actually blue

Fucking incredible or worse than the reaction of Halo 4? I've been thinking about buying an XBone for the hell of it and the gameplay I've seen doesn't look bad, but I'd prefer opinions of people who've actually played it first.

The battles and setpieces are great, but the story itself sucks. Co-op is superfluous but fun like with any game, if you can get friends online since that's the only way to play. - The multiplayer's great, Warzone is a pretty fresh spin on things and when it works thanks to teammates actually being competent, it really works. - The base gameplay is pretty damn solid and even with the ADS and the various thruster features, it doesn't feel neutered, butchered or anything. Especially since the actual competitive multiplayer modes that aren't Warzone keep things simple with arena-style setups instead of the Loadouts of Halo 4. - Lack of official and extensive gamemodes or maps right now, and no Forge at launch. I may be wrong on any of these, those that actually have played the game can correct me.
snip got ninja'd

Can't these packs add a little variety then just endless waves of mongooses, like transport hogs or something
