What do you guys think of CMT's new trailer for SPV3?
Wish they would do the full game and not just up until 343 guilty spark. And this whole SPV3 is so god damned confusing. There are like hundreds of different versions.
For pc could co-op ever be possible?
For pc could co-op ever be possible?
I played through Halo CE on custom edition with 5 friends like a decade ago.

The missing pages from Halsey's Journal have finally been uploaded. Link here. According to Eric Nylund's blog certain copies of the Journal came with some of the missing pages, but no one ever found out until recently. edit: I've skimmed over it a bit, and honestly it removes some of the lingering sting from Halo 5's story. The marketing set-up and Cortana's fake death still bugs me, but knowing that the story was at least grounded somewhere in the lore and that they had more reason for it than "SURPRISE AI'S ARE TAKING OVER" helps.
I dunno, couldn't the [sp]other "voices" in slipspace" be the Assembly[/sp] or something? Not necessarily whatever it was we ended up with? Honestly, that reminds me of people using Guilty Spark's confusion in Halo 1 and 3 ("last time we met" when talking to John, "you are the child of my makers", etc.) to justify stuff written looong after both of those games.
[sp] Why would the Assembly be in slipspace? [/sp]. I don't know who or what the "other voices" are, the AI was going insane and the laws of physics were breaking so it might have been nothing. I suppose I find it interesting so much because it lends credence to the theory that Cortana is broken and insane, and that the Domain never helped her. Cortana's actions in Halo 5 can be directly contrasted to Halsey's creation of the Spartan-IIs, not to mention her unknowning quoting of the Didact and obsession with Master Chief. This isn't the Cortana that said goodbye to Chief. Maybe I'm just grasping at straws to justify the story we got. But I honestly think (and hope) that this was their intention, just lost in the details like everything else was.
So are people looking forward to the inevitable halo 6?
For the multiplayer/arena, yes.

Wait, I went and looked it up, the thing I was thinking of was in data pad 17. Guess it wasn't the Assembly, they just found out about it. (Kind of weird to see the data pad directly referencing something that we've only found just now, actually; I remember reading it years ago and not thinking much of it)
Right I never did a whole lot of reading in the previous games but I still understood most of the story. Halo 5 completely threw me off. Is this new stuff linking the games together fixing the story? Was it planned or do people reckon this is 343 working overtime to make new links between stuff that was previously unrelated?
Well I didn't do any reading. Beyond the game lines I just knew other stuff existed. Maybe a bit of halopedia informed me on stuff like blue team and spartan IIIs. But yeah, Halo 4 was a "That stuff you knew, Doesn't apply" -Ancient advanced Human civilisation. -Hardlight and other powers being more magic than technology. -The Diadect, A grand general of an advanced and intellectual race, is really petty. -Spartans being relatively cheap,Ill disciplined and expendable Yeah, After that, It's not going to be great
-Spartans being relatively cheap,Ill disciplined and expendable
That one's because the new generation of Spartans, the IVs, weren't children that were abducted at age 6 to become huge badasses and are instead just regular adult humans that signed up for cheap power armor and light augmentation, which is why they're weak shit

The process was simplified each project numbers.
Flood Poodles created by 343 makes almost the entire canon pointlessly stupid. Changing the entire Forerunner-Human dynamic was so stupid and retroactively makes stuff like the ARK portal ridiculous
Hey when infection comes out you guys up for testing that map I made to see if it works right?
Flood Poodles created by 343 makes almost the entire canon pointlessly stupid. Changing the entire Forerunner-Human dynamic was so stupid and retroactively makes stuff like the ARK portal ridiculous
The thing is thats only how that particular flood outbreak began. Its implied the flood had indeed spread to other galaxies, and sent that flooddust shit over as the first stage of invasion (sorta like tyranids will send in genestealers decades before an assault in WH40K). There may have even been a form of the flood around during the time of the precursors. Hopefully all of that shit will be further explained in future books.
There may have even been a form of the flood around during the time of the precursors. Don't want to say much more since i've no idea how to use spoiler tags. We don't have a very specific timeline for the precursor extinction and true flood origin, but its over a million years B.C. Once you push that far back its mostly unknown territory, because the history is lost.
I don't mind the Flood being [sp]vengeful corrupted precursors[/sp] or even the "neural physics" thing (because I liked the concept before it was in Halo) but the whole ancient humanity thing is just... painfully dumb to me. The only "precedent" for it was that goddamn anime short with the ~*moe*~ Spartan and the space-Japan architecture, and that was still technically in 343's hands, back when they were naught but a fledgling shell studio made for managing Halo content.

Can this just come out already? With the return of Super Fiesta as a permanent playlist.
Wait, there is still no infection? Uhhh feature creep much?
Can this just come out already? With the return of Super Fiesta as a permanent playlist.
Firefight too, I need something to do other than getting killed by people better than me or running the boring campaign that doesn't even give you credits or commendations like it does in Reach
Wait, there is still no infection? Uhhh feature creep much?
They've got to keep people interested somehow.
Is it really feature creep after the project is finished? [editline]11th May 2016[/editline]
1.Ancient Human Exist Pre 343, Halo Legends is a good reference to that.
Halo Legends was financed and Produced by 343 Ind. Frank O'Connor was a director, Bonnie Ross was a producer.
Is it really feature creep after the project is finished?
Why wouldn't it be?
