I'm playing through the Halo 1 campaign for the first time on Heroic and I've gotten to 'Truth and Reconcilliation'. Why is this so hard? Why would you have 3 sections where all of your ai buddies die only to have a dropship part with hardly any checkpoints? And why is that only 1/3rd of the level???
That thing is like a human brute chopper

Of the levels I've played so far (343 Guilty Spark being the last one I finished), I think Truth and Reconciliation holds up best as a fun and well designed mission. Silent Cartographer used to be my favorite but I had more fun with T&R this time. I think it's the combination of a fun sniping based mission for the first part of it followed by really fun corridor shooting that I think Halo 1 presents the best out of all the Halo games. That's a whole post in itself, but I think the guns in Halo 1 just feel really good and the small corridors let you really revel in the particle effects, blood splatter, and rain of empty shells that you don't get in outdoor maps. Another reason I really liked that mission was that of all the missions so far, it's the best at incorporating your Marine buddies. Even if they all die, you get sizrable reinforcements like 3 times over the course of the mission. Its really fun trying to keep them alive, and they do help a lot in fights. Plus, with all the Marines fighting alongside you inside the ship, you get even more awesome and Halo 1 effects. After a firefight you can look around the room and see it totally littered by empty casings, bullet holes, and blood all over the walls. As for the difficulty, I don't recall having any trouble with the mission, but this is also probably the sixth or tenth time I've played through Halo 1 so take that with a grain of salt. There's a few rough spots in Assault on the Control room that I had much more trouble with, especially because I didn't want to cheese it and steal the Banshee to skip like a quarter of the level.

Didn't think Truth and Reconciliation was that hard on Heroic, i think i went with the Plasma Pistol, pistol combo. The Library and The Maw took the longest in my opinion.

Ok, so I've found out the reason that part was so hard was due to the fact that I had somehow missed a trigger that calls for more AI reinforcements. So Cortana basically ended up announcing her plan to use the grav lift on the radio to no one and I was trying in vain to secure the grav lift by myself. Restarting the mission fixed that for me.

I don't remember heroic being hard, but for legendary I saved my sniper ammo for the ship section, and took full advantage of grenade spamming.

Kinda wish we get to pick our spartan's voice, especially now since they do the callout things online
perhaps you'll have it by Halo 6, along with being able to play as elites in multiplayer. I feel as though 343 has been xenophobic towards the Sangheili.
I always wanted RvB voices for Fire Fight

Truth and Reconciliation is indeed a bit hard but nothing too extreme. Halo 1 even on legendary is really easy compared to Halo 2.

Sentinel and I are starting a new company open to active FP and other players to team up in Arena/Warzone, aswell as going for those company commendations. Inactive players will be removed from group, something we should have done in first FP spartan company. So if you're active in the the other dead company, come join us. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/spartan-companies/facepunch oni Roster will be filtered of inactive players. (That was the downfall of the first company) 18 years or older *with a couple exception, want to be an exception? You're welcome to try! Just prove you're a mature player.* Actively plays Halo 5 Willing to pull their weight in commendations. *Not a requirement, but heavily encouraged.* Promote team play and tactics, and practice Halo 5 can be a very tactical game, an organized team can make or break the round for you, so can one bad player. Invite active and interested players who will benefit our cause.
Fuck Halo 2 on Legendary
You can level skip almost the entire game??
how much space is halo 5 supposed to take on your hard drive?
You can level skip almost the entire game??
Not Cairo Station iirc, which had insane waves of white elites. Metropolis was terrible with the section with seemingly infinite Jackal Beam Rifle snipers that would 1-shot you if you dared to come out of the pipes after the Tank section. Although to be fair, if you managed to do the infinite camo glitch the MC levels were easy as all hell.
So, I've been thinking of picking up an Xbox One for a little while and getting Halo 5 along with it but I have to ask. Is Halo 5 in a good state right now? I've been extremely out of the loop on it for essentially everything. I remember hearing that it was apparently missing a lot of old features at launch and the campaign isn't really anything to brag about either. Some people also feel like the multiplayer has drifted too much from what it used to be?
You can level skip almost the entire game??
But what's the fun in that
I Just finished my spontaneous playthrough Halo 1. It's so quaint.
