That Halo TV show they announced years ago is still happening.
Someone asked if h5f for 10 needed gold, they said they don't know....
There are no dumb questions. Just dumb people.
Question is, Why did 343 say that, they should know.
I wonder how easy it will be to port all these developments for when Halo 6 inevitably comes. They surely cant do the same drip feed of content campaign they have for Halo 5, to the extent they did anyway.
Question is, Why did 343 say that, they should know.
They don't know because it's not their job to. That's Microsoft's job.
They won't make gold a requirement, especially given how Phil Spencer thinks that GFWL was a huge mistake. Forza Horizon 3 on PC won't require gold and neither will this.
Question is, Why did 343 say that, they should know.
They don't publish the game, Microsoft does.
I just rewatched some old footage I had of Halo 5's Arena mode from before the 2014 Winter Beta. Man, it has changed a lot.
Is there any sort of 'Noob's guide to Legendary' for Halo 5? Hokiebird428 (the guy who made legendary guides for every other Halo game) won't even mention it by name, and all I seemed to find was a let's play which was called a 'walkthrough'.

You miss out on some dialog and it's a bit harder but you can actually run through every level aside from the defend areas. I beat the campaign only on legendary so I'd never have to play it again for anything

all future halo games ARE coming to PC. https://www.trueachievements.com/n24379/play-anywhere-confirmed-for-all-future-microsoftpublished-titles.htm
Last week, Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi wrote a blog post discussing Microsoft's Anniversary Update for Windows 10. Normally, that wouldn't be news for us, but he did briefly mention one tidbit that confirms one rumor that's been swirling since E3:
With the Xbox Play Anywhere program, you can buy a game once and play on your Windows 10 PC and Xbox One with shared progress, shared game saves and shared achievements. Every new title published from Microsoft Studios will support Xbox Play Anywhere and will be easily accessible in the Windows Store.
This confirms two things for us: All Microsoft titles moving forward will be playable on PC, including the inevitable Halo 6, with full cross-play capabilities (on a related note, Microsoft said competitive multiplayer would remain exclusive to each platform at the discretion of developers, so don't worry about keyboard vs controller in shooters).
Sweet. But I don't plan on getting rid of my Xbox systems any time soon based on this news. I'll pobably keep one in my living room for stuff like Madden/NHL and MCC/Gears splitscreen.

https://www.trueachievements.com/n24379/play-anywhere-confirmed-for-all-future-microsoftpublished-titles.htm
The catch is, we have to like 2-3 years for them to make the next Halo FPS. [sp] I will be out of college and in the job market when Halo officially comes back to PC :( [/sp]
Hopefully they decide to port previously released games to Windows too (I'm looking at you MCC)
Well hopefully Halo 6 isn't arse so that being on PC is worth it.
As long as the Arena is good I'll be fine with whatever Halo 6 is. Since Halo 3 I could care less about the story.

It's not terrible but it's not good either. You need to remember the person you're replying to hates everything about 343 so everything he says should be taken with a grain of salt. But while the campaign is pretty "meh" I do think it has a lot of really nice set pieces.
Is the campaign actually that bad? I mean, apart from the story and those Warden boss fights.
A lot of the hate comes from the promo material being so different from what we actually got. TV ads made it seem like[sp]Master Chief was a fugitive and the game would be about Locke following a candy trail and uncovering some "truth" along the way. #HuntTheTruth [/sp]but what we actually got was: (Major plot spoilers)[sp]Locke pointing a gun at Chief, getting into a fight, Chief getting captured some bad guys, then Locke working with Chief to beat up said bad guys[/sp]

I know how terrible the story is.
The gameplay is fine. The shooting feels good and the Spartan abilities are fun to use. The squad commands could have been a bit more fleshed out though. I hardly used them unless I needed/wanted someone to use a vehicle if one was available.
I'm talking about gameplay though, not story. I know how terrible the story is.
Ah, okay, didn't catch that part. Like Makol said, not bad but not good. Imo, Halo 5's campaign does a couple of good things: having a squad mechanic was neat (though it could have been more flushed out), and the visual and audio presentation were phenomenal; Set pieces were cool, but sometimes felt more like set pieces than actual levels. The ending sequence is kinda "nothing" when compared to the other Halo games (even Halo 2). No warthog run, no really entertaining final encounter. Granted, I only played it once when it first came out so Im a little foggy on what the actual ending even played like but I don't recall it being anything special. Also, 3 out of the 15 missions were just hubs where you talked to NPCs and maybe changed your weapons if you wanted to. Overall, I just dont think like the campaign "feels" like a Halo game, not one moment from the whole thing (gameplay or otherwise) stands out to me. I also have never felt a need to replay it, it's very forgettable. I've played the other Campaign's dozens of times, but there's nothing in Halo 5 that makes me go "Wow I wanna see/play that again!".
