Maybe, but in terms of the story it did very little to impact the story overall. Everything that happens afterwards is completely overshadowed by the discovery of 04B, the raid on High Charity's ruins and the subsequent activation of 04B. All we get in reguards to her dying is a picture on the eulogy thing during the epilogue.
Sgt. Johnson's death felt more meaningful, Miranda's death was more 'oh that happened'.

Bungie had already pulled that shtick before, and pretty much everyone was expecting it to happen because they had done it already. Plus, he 'died' 30 seconds later and that was that. I get that they probably did that just so Sgt. Johnson would have been sacrificed, but he could have also held the line for the rest of them to get away.
I've never played Halo 2 even though now I'm familiar with the plot, so the first time I played Halo 3 the whole time I didnt know who the fuck Miranda was or why she was important and when she died I was like "ok". Johnson's death made me sad though

For as nice as some of the SPV3 assets are, i have to wonder if some of their efforts were a bit misplaced
for starters the marines look like this

Like as a model its nice, but in game it very painfully sticks out against the bsp. And the outdoor maps are even more noticeable with this.
Truth and Reconciliation I had few problems with this because they made extra use of darkness and a lot of the shading took care of hiding the limitations, but in TSC:E it was more noticeable, and here too.
It seems like they went for individual quality at the expense of overall consistency, and I'm not sure how i feel about it.

Apparently the initial group of Marines that spawn at the start of a WZ match are able to board vehicles.

That's beautiful.
Why that wasn't a feature in warzone to start is beyond me. Still think it'd be awesome to have marine squads as req items, and have em be able to do that.
It's not a new feature afaik, I think the uploader/OP just thought it was after 343i clarified it wasn't a glitch.

i think that would be a bit annoying with how weirdly good the marine on the gunner seat in that video is at shooting immediate threats

Is that forge canvas big enough to actually allow for the full size of Death Island?
The fact that abilities such as spartan charge or the ground pound can affect members of your team hurts my soul. It's [I]so[/I] incredibly[I] fun[/I] being spartan charged while trying to use the sniper or ground pounded by a friendly while you're trying to deliver the flag carrier back to base, essentially flipping the vehicle.
The earlier seasons aren't as story intensive. They were written so you could watch any episode and just leave it but the mid to later episodes are absolutely important to watch in order. However, there are characters and references that show up in those later episodes that are introduced very early on. I suggest just watching them all in order anyways. All of it is fantastic, the humour in them has aged extremely well, IMO.

The new seasons are eh just start with the Blood Gulch Chronicles since that part is amazing. You can decided if you want to continue after that since it does have a definite end.
Monty made some really cool action scenes, but it never really jelled with the rest of Red vs Blue to me. I think thats why he ended up working on RWBY more and RvB sort of started going back to basics with the season where they were in that one Halo 4 map. I stopped in the season when Carolina and Church got reintroduced and it seemed like they were going sort of in an actiony direction again. I have no idea how it is now, though I know that its some sort of Anthology season and Funhaus made some episodes. I saw some previews for them and they seemed to have the same sort of flair the older RvB seasons did.
How active is the MCC multiplayer these days?

There's a season or two that take place in Halo 3 and they're pretty good. The first season in Reach was god awful and I stopped watching then.
