is it just me or has halo 2s campaign not aged well at all
i remember enjoying it a lot more but honestly playing it solo on even heroic is insanely unfun and frustrating. weapons barely do any damage, theres about a billion brutes at all times, and you fold like a paper cup
To me, 2 is still as great but 3 was... more "eh" than i remember.

Halo 2 Legendary is pretty much the toughest Legendary in the franchise, last I remember. It's just that sadistic.

IDK, I found H2 on heroic quite enjoyable. For me, it was easier than H1 on heroic, but that's probably because of two reasons:
1. I played H1 on the original Xbox, which had a piece of shit controller, and
2. I used Hokiebird's guide for legendary to play through Halo 2. It made it a lot easier and enjoyable.

It reminds me of times when I'd [I]constantly[/I] revert to a previous checkpoint because I fucked up some little detail of the run (like letting my marines/elites take more damage than they needed to) and end up ruining the fun on my own even though I would have probably been perfectly capable of completing the level with dead allies or less-than-full weaponry
is it just because im playing solo or does warzone firefight seem really difficult? the grunt mechs and forerunner air thingees are consistently ending my games early
Solo is definitely a factor in the difficulty but it's also just the difficulty that 343i set for the ai. It also doesn't help that you can get really tough rounds early on when you don't have much unlocked. Try doing a bit better with your personal score and then setting the matchmaking to "focused"
Don't know if it's a placebo effect but I swear, after winning games with 30k+ score and then searching on "focused" I've been winning nearly all warzone firefight matches because it's putting me with competent players.
