Wooo round 2, this should be fun. I bet youre one of those people who didnt like [sp]Exuberant Witness[/sp]
I fucking loved her and I still thought the story was bad, I don't really see what kind of argument you're trying to create here.
Just beat Halo 5's story. That was shit.
The story was bad, I think I still liked it better than 4's though. They really need to go back to having self-contained stories, I don't want to read books, read comic books, or watch anime to get the full story. Even though the missions themselves are fun, a well-written story would go a long way. Boring rant thing, not too spoilery but I'll still spoiler tag it: [sp]I have main issues with the campaign. I still don't enjoy fighting the prometheans as much as the Covenant, and I really dislike Locke and Osris. The prometheans are better than 4's, and I still enjoyed the levels they were in but all of my favorite levels and moments involved fighting the covenant. If you fought the Covenant as much as the prometheans and prometheans as much as you fight the covenant I would have enjoyed the campaign a hell of a lot more. I think they would work really well if you only fought them a little bit, like the flood in previous Halo games. Also I just can't get myself to care about Locke's side of the story or his squad, I found their character and story to just be boring. I'd be so much happier if I got to play more Blue Team missions, but fuck me for caring about Master Chief I guess. [/sp] Besides the lack of splitscreen and fucking horrible sp hud it's a good game, I had no hopes for this thing after I played 4 but 343 is slowly figuring out how to make a Halo game. Hopefully they nail the sp in 6, they're good on making multiplayer games.
I fucking loved her and I still thought the story was bad, I don't really see what kind of argument you're trying to create here.
What made you think I was starting an argument? Of course the story was cliche and the marketing was all false but you know Spartan is still gonna make it sound like the worst game in all of history
Wooo round 2, this should be fun. I bet youre one of those people who didnt like [sp]Exuberant Witness[/sp]
Actually she was the best part of the story
As fun as fighting the covenant is, there's only so many of them to kill before it stops making sense in the story. They're gonna have to either rely on promethians or create a new enemy eventually.
What made you think I was starting an argument? Of course the story was cliche and the marketing was all false but you know Spartan is still gonna make it sound like the worst game in all of history
You originally made it seem like the only way you can't like the story is if you didn't like [sp]Exuberant Witness[/sp].
IMO if they wanted a better campaign they shouldn't have brought you-know-who back in the first place and instead could have spent a lot of the time on character development for both fire teams and exploring how Chief deals with the loss of Cortana. The only reason I cared about anyone on Blue Team (other than John) is because I read the books. There wasn't a single moment, other than some classic zingers from Buck (who I have always loved) where I felt any twinge of emotion for any of the other characters because they're just that insignificant. More time devoted to Blue Team and character development as a whole would have benefited this game greatly. Also, they should have made it about Locke hunting Chief. We got one fist fight after a years worth of fantastic marketing that made everyone think this game would be all about propaganda and actually hunting Chief instead of just chasing him while he does some dumb Forerunner bullshit. A few other random complaints, Warden Eternal is a cool character with a really interesting design, but having to fight the exact same iteration of him 5+ times over the course of the campaign (and then in Warzone sometimes) made it become really stale. As I've said a bunch before, the levels are gorgeous and interesting, with great design that has great gameplay to match. However, having 3 FUCKING MISSIONS where all you did is walk 100ft to talk to 2 people is a scummy ass way to lie to people about the length of the campaign, which is already fairly short.

Maybe they could add more races or something, I don't know. I just really love the squads of grunts, jackals, and elites.
Anybody up for playing some multiplayer?
Yeah, they probably could've gone with more aliens or more creative stuff than "OH IT TURNS OUT THE FORERUNNERS WERE KINDA DICKS" and having everything go to hell because of the equivalent of a genocidal temper tantrum.
Yeah, they probably could've gone with more aliens or more creative stuff than "OH IT TURNS OUT THE FORERUNNERS WERE KINDA DICKS" and having everything go to hell because of the equivalent of a genocidal temper tantrum.
To be fair, evidence from the very beginning suggests that Forerunners were/are dicks. They killed dickloads of humans, killed their creator species, created devices to literally kill everything in a galaxy wide radius. They may have attempted to preserve life but the Forerunner society was riddled with social injustice, corruption, and power-tripping rulers. I'm not mad about the Forerunner motivation in H5 because Forerunners have always had the "peace-through-death" mindset.

In Bungie's part of the series Forerunners were one giant ambiguity given their giant 'food source killer' rings, and 343 Guilty Spark as one of their AIs readily demonstrates by being helpful one minute and then willing to kill you the next if you interfere with his installation. Once the Cryptum came out, pretty much all the context for the Forerunners changed overnight from mysterious precursors to a technological-and-combat advanced race made by literal Precursors who were kind of spiteful dicks to anyone that got in their way despite their good intentions overall, not to mention what you described.
I actually really like the paintball arenas, but I do think they should be Breakout only. That being said, a map on Genesis or something along those lines would be amazing. [editline]30th October 2015[/editline] Speaking of, does anyone want to play some Breakout at around Platinum rank? I need some ranked buddies. GT is h4gan.
Coliseum is on Genesis
[sp]So Halo 6 you return to another halo to destroy it?[/sp]
[sp]So Halo 6 you return to another halo to destroy it?[/sp]
Halo 6: Re-finish the fight
Halo 6: Is It Over Yet?
Halo six starts with the intro guy from fallout doing the cliche war war never changes gig I just finished Halo 5 and TBH I don't think the plot was THAT scattered. I feel like what happened with holotits was something that could have been predicted based on some of the pyscho bitch stuff in Halo CE.
[sp]Could've blamed it on all the crazy forerunner shit in the Domain too. We still know barely anything about it. Who's know what it did to stop the rampancy, or if it even did. Maybe her physco mood is some form of the rampancy that's still there. [/sp]
You guys should spoiler tag your shit
Halo six starts with the intro guy from fallout doing the cliche war war never changes gig
You mean Lord Hood? [sp]They have the same voice actor[/sp] [editline]31st October 2015[/editline]
MISSIONS where all you did is walk 100ft to talk to 2 people is a scummy ass way to lie to people about the length of the campaign, which is already fairly short.
Not exactly surprised at this after how much they hyped up the whole Locke vs Chief thing and even implied that Chief dies etc... Like fucking seriously? And then we get what? 2-3 scenes between Chief and Locke? And in both of them he doesn't want to kill him at all, he still respects him and everything. God damn, i still don't understand why they created that whole "hunt the truth" thing and what the point of it was. Didn't they make the chief a big bad guy in those? Someone who goes around destroying colonies or killing humans, disobeying orders and everything? And in Halo 5 none of that happens. Yeah sure he disobeys an order and then Locke gets sent after him to get him back but then Locke wants to help him instead of just trying to kill him or bring him back later on. Like what the hell i wasn't following these things closely but can someone explain these to me? I thought the ONI wanted chief dead or something? And what the hell was up with those cinematic trailers of Chief and Locke fighting in a ruined city?

Typical Halo games had 10-11, so throwing in three "missions" where you talk to people isn't cutting the average length of the game, even though I think they just barely made the average.[/sp]

I love halo 5
Well, 343 knows how shit all the mongoose drops are, and along with an incoming fix, we got this little treat. [t]https://content.halocdn.com/media/Default/community/blogs/images/getreqt_full-6792972813cd424b977ef50afc59e130.jpg[/t]

Aiming is fucked: http://www.tweaktown.com/news/48220/gamer-proves-halo-5-serious-issues-multiplayer-aiming/index.html
That would explain why the aiming feels "off" ever so slightly. I know I asked this before, but does anyone want to play some Breakout? My GT is h4gan
What kind of fucking masochist looked at the Warden and decided, "Yeah, this guy needs a quick shot head beam that's a one-hit kill ." and [sp]"Yeah, not one, not two, but THREE of these fuckers to fight against at once."[/sp]
You can skip it (MISSION 14 SPOILERS): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1NZChTGXCY It's not that bad on heroic, you just need to be patient with the absolutely retarded ai.
