Just finished watching the campaign. Major spoilers ahead. [sp] The ending is the only thing that saves the story IMO. The pacing is outright horrendous, and so much of the story had very little weight to it. Locke is boring, and I couldn't stand nearly every line Buck had being a joke of some kind. Cortana's overall plan is outright confusing, she wants peace for the entire galaxy and only for the guilty to be harmed (eg Halsey) but then destroys entire megacities and then turns off all the power on Earth, which is going to kill more than a few people. I get that she's half rampant, especially with her spouting the Didact's dialogue occasionally, but they could have been more consistent about it. The Guardians are a different story entirely. Why are they all conveniently placed under current or former major cities? And if the Forerunners had the capabilities of wiping out an entire planet's defense grid in an instant, why did they need the Halo rings? Maybe I've missed something, or a lot of things, but I can't understand how they managed to create such an awesome set-up with Halo 5 and then just completely waste it until the final moments. [/sp]

You could change the email and set that account's home Xbox as yours so you'll have access to Halo 5 on your main. But obviously you'll have to log into that anytime you want to redownload. I'd pay the extra $20 just to not deal with that, but that's just me.

Halo 5 is sounding pretty good. Excited to pick it up Glad to hear the campaign isn't a complete wash. I don't mind an average story if the rest of it is good, sounds like it is. MGSV has a pretty average story compared to the rest of the series but it is inoffensive and works well enough as a vehicle for the (excellent) gameplay. If H5 at least fills that role, which it sounds like it does, then that's good for me.

[/sp][/QUOTE] [sp]Well you have to understand that the Domain isnt what its advertised to be. Its certainly NOT Forerunner tech in the least. Its Precursor, which means its basically magic and more or less evil(kinda). Its like a soup of every dead forerunner and ancilla. Which means that Cortana is super corrupt now, like think of it being like shes possessed. As for Guardians, they cannot do what the Halos did. Guardians are police and Halos are nukes. I assume at their peak the Flood couldve easily obliterated Guardians.[/sp]

Or instead of spending who knows how much on a live action trailer for a video game hire a few more artists and programmers to work on the game.

It's not like you have to buy it right now. If you wanna wait for everything, then wait. But for some people, they're fine with what it has right now, and might not even touch BTB or forge. To them, the game's got plenty of content, it's complete, and they're ready to play. Why ruin it for them when you can just wait for the complete package.

My brother's friend got his copy earlier today, but his internet is shit so he's prolly gonna be a couple days before his day 1 update finishes.

A game's release date shouldn't be a "soft" release with some features, but all of them.

You don't get everything right away, but you get everything made the best it can be and not bug-ridden. It's not like you have to pay for the extra features, and if you don't care about those features, you can get the game as soon as it's ready. If you do, you can wait and get the game when it's at it's fullest. It's no different than games that had expansions back in the day, except these expansions are free.
