So just finished the last Warden fight L-O-L So fucking bad. I have never played through a worse encounter in a game. What is especially sad is not only 20 minutes before that they had the same exact encounter, except with actual cover to hide behind, and no turrets that spawn at the end which make an already frustrating fight even more frustrating.
yfw you coulda just sprinted through that stadium and skipped the whole fight Also, that's the worst encounter? You've never played the Shadow Warrior reboot on any mode higher than hard :S Serious Sam levels of enemy density with bullet sponges that shoot explosives. It's like 20 Wardens, but 17 of them are fucking sprinting at you.

The warden fight is a joke if you grab the power weapons that are always scattered around him.
I thought fighting him in close quarters would be damn near impossible, because 90% of my deaths were from that big swiping attack, but he actually gets easier to dodge when you're on top of him. Then it became pretty easy to stunlock him while firing with a scattershot/binary rifle, and dodge while reloading. But yeah, fighting at range is hell playing solo.
just kill me now
You know, considering how much you guys complained about Halo 5 being released half complete, I'd think you'd be happy about this. But nope, delaying a game till it's ready is bad, and so is releasing it early with missing modes.
i dont think people understand that the Warden isn't really a boss fight, he's just a recurring big enemy like Hunters

How does Microsoft run into an issue with getting Halo, an IP that they own, on their console?
does microsoft actually own 100% of the rights to reach? if so, is there a reason why it isnt part of the mcc
does microsoft actually own 100% of the rights to reach? if so, is there a reason why it isnt part of the mcc
Bungie sold them the rights when they left Microsoft. I'm pretty sure that was the big thing about the deal if they wanted out.

There might not be any work to bring the base game over, but I guarantee you they have to do a bit of work to get the multiplayer working smoothly, at least serverside. Which ain't actually part of the game I guess. Actually now that you mention licensing shit, that might be a big part of it too. Bungie copyrighted the marathon symbol a while back, and 343 had to make a new reclaimer emblem. Maybe they're trying to fight to be able to keep selling the game with that symbol. Don't really know how all that legal stuff works though.

Other BC games are working fine with multiplayer already, Reach shouldn't be any different.
Didn't they shut down the multiplayer servers in all of the past Halos except 4 and MCC?
They did for Halo 1 and 2 but the rest are up and running.
Would anyone be willing on doing the Endure achievement on ODST with me? I'm trying to get all my remaining achievements on previous Halo games.
I got to play a bit of Multiplayer at a friend's house. Warzone has no right to be as amazing as it is.
does microsoft actually own 100% of the rights to reach? if so, is there a reason why it isnt part of the mcc
Microsoft completely owns every single Halo asset except many Bungie Proof of concepts.
does microsoft actually own 100% of the rights to reach? if so, is there a reason why it isnt part of the mcc
They can't port it to the MCC because then it's just the Halo collection.
I mean, technically they could put time into porting it fully, Halo 4 is derived from Reach after all and some of the 343 staff worked on it before the swap as far as I know. But then MCC was an outsourced mess all over, and they still have to work on Halo 5's future content and 6's planning, so who knows Since only ODST has come out and they're juggling the idea of putting Reach on 360 backwards compatibility it seems, it's safe to presume they won't port it to the MCC so just make sure your Reach copy doesn't die in the meanwhile.
They can't port it to the MCC because then it's just the Halo collection.
I doubt the name is stopping them at this point, it's probably a decent amount of work because of differences with the Reach engine. Also a lot of people gave up on MCC after it was broken for months so they probably would lose money doing it. I think it would be standalone if they were ever going to do it.
neat got Onyx in swat
People are excited for reach? How?
Had a pretty awesome warzone game tonight, probably one of the best games I've played. I found some random team mate sitting on the turret of a warthog, I jumped in the driver seat and we wreaked havoc. Half way through the other team was definitely getting pissed and chased us for quite a while with an Oni Warthog and a Ghost Ultra, with no avail. There was a lot more footage to this but since Xbox's DVR app can only record 5 minutes I just made a small montage of the best part of the chase. I only died once, (at the end of the video), then used a REQ card to spawn with my own Oni hog, then me and the same guy did the same thing and blew up the enemy core, so much fun haha. (also, I think HaloKittty was the person who dropped from the game before I joined, that is not my gamertag)
People are excited for reach? How?
Reach is quite popular [editline]11th November 2015[/editline] I think reach is still my favorite Halo game, both MP and SP. I love myself some spire

Aside from it being 30fps it seems alright on my end.
Why is that so laggy? Is what what Halo 5 warzone is like? Or is it just me?
Not sure, seems fine to me. The Xbox video editor degraded the quality quite a bit, but I'm not seeing any lag.

Every map was a bland gray forge map because the on disk maps were terrible. 343 released an optional title update that split the already struggling population into 4 parts. The game couldn't even hold #1 game on Xbox LIVE for more than a few weeks meanwhile Halo 3 had it for like 3 years.
Strange, everyone I know loved Reach. Even people that never owned it themselves or are generally extremely critical of games.

By the time Reach released, everyone and their mother was playing the umpteenth Modern Call of Duty or Battlefield as a big multiplayer title while Halo 3 only really had the first Modern Warfare to compete with in terms of being a multiplayer game.
Slightly unrelated, but I think the actor they chose for Jameson Locke was really... uninteresting. They should've gone with someone expressive and well known like Terry Crews. Then again, that might have led to Old Spice REQ promotions.
