How much of H5 did Monty do? Keep in mind it would have had to been done last before January.
None? they were just saying it felt like something he would have done.
New here so I'm probably a bit behind on this any of you fellas playing Eldewrito?
I just finished Halo 3's campaign yesterday and it feels like it hasnt aged so well. Doesnt help that its the least touched up game out of the MCC, where the first two games has that new coat of paint and 4 looks like it was made for the Xbox One. But even still, it just feels rather "off" to me after playing it through after so long. Even the music doesnt sound as memorable to me. Onwards to Halo 4 before i actually start on 5's campaign. Going to try and see it through a different light and not even think about the multiplayer that made me hate the whole thing in the first place.

Usually I get bored by the time you find out Truth has a new (and worse) voice actor and give up. As far as I know, the story is "Jungle, Flood mission, portal, High Charity, the Ark, the end".
Truth never really bothered me so much, but Miranda Keyes is extremely noticable. Both voice actor and her model.
Fun fact one of the [sp]Diamond City Guards[/sp] in Fallout 4 shares Lockes VA.
Fun fact one of the [sp]Diamond City Guards[/sp] in Fallout 4 shares Lockes VA.
Kinda funny when you think about the male protagonist being Roland.
Truth has a new (and worse) voice actor
Ohoho get FUCKED. Terence Stamp? Worse than anyone? Ever? Fuck no.
Ohoho get FUCKED. Terence Stamp? Worse than anyone? Ever? Fuck no.
Maybe more of a voice direction thing, but Halo 2 Truth sounded like this guy manipulating everyone and knowing it, then suddenly in Halo 3 he sounds just as fanatic as all his followers. Lost a lot with that transition.
If you think active camo is ridiculous try using Prophet's Bane. Fucking masterpiece of a weapon. I singlehandedly took Spire on Apex 7 because I could crouch and they'd all run past me
Ya good luck ever getting it tho
Ya good luck ever getting it tho
Had a ton but I used them all :v:

Lost a lot with that transition.
I read something about this on halo.bungie.org a long time ago. Apparently H3's interpretation of him was what they originally wrote Truth as, but Michael Wincott(?) delivered a performance that was good enough that it "accidentally" gave Truth an unintended depth. Instead of being a religious lunatic, he now sounded like a suave manipulator with something to hide. Halo 3 took him back to being a rabid preacher because the original VA declined to reprise his role.
To me, they're both really fucking good Truths that do service to their own place in the narrative.
It took me a while to notice but the lack of Social playlists is kinda worrying. My friend might have been right in some aspects after all, although saying that the game is pay to win is ludicrous. A good patch or two should bring back these little things, but those little things really made Halo what it was. Also, didnt notice there wasnt a Gravity Hammer till someone pointed it out. Guess that's Grifball out the window unless they manage to patch that in somehow. Now if my team mates could stop leaving suddenly and running into those Forerunner Grenades when their active, that would be great...
It's being patched in, presumably with forge.
Ah... well there's some method to their madness, i'll give them that. Hopefully the forge patch will bring in the game modes that are also missing. I think (i hope) 343 know what they are doing. Wonder what other kinds of Grav Hammers they will add for Warzone? Wouldnt be too surprised if we see the one that Tartarus uses.
at least i can have the argus armor in physical form if only they let us 3d print our reach spartans, they were the coolest and most personalized
I miss the really deep customisation. I cheated in a 100% save just so I could play with all the armor.
I miss the really deep customisation. I cheated in a 100% save just so I could play with all the armor.
On Halo 5? How?
Pretty sure he's talking about Reach.
Yeah, Reach. I never had Xbox Live growing up because the internet was bad and my parents didn't like the idea of paying for more shit. So I used to just play around in forge by myself and make cool looking Spartans.

If I had known I could import a save I would have been one happy camper.
I didn't even have broadband internet until 2008, and even then it kinda sucks now. Situations like that make me wish games like Halo had bot matches and not just things like Firefight - which seems to of been abandoned in favor of Warzone with Halo 5.
I didn't really feel like Firefight translated all that well to Spartans. It felt amazing in ODST because you were just a badass soldier versus the world, plus I liked the map design for ODST Firefight maps a lot more. I dunno, Reach firefight never really captured the intensity and fun of ODST's.
ODST was difficult as hell because it was just you, the basic weapons, and a bunch of enemies and skulls. Then Reach went and threw that all away by starting players with shotguns, rockets, and ditching a bunch of the skulls.
some of those special modes were pretty fun but they took away all the intensity, challenge, and badassery of the ODST mode. you rarely got power weapons, it was just you and your boys and a dickload of covvies [editline]17th November 2015[/editline] god i love odst im gonna go play it
