Is there a reason why in those mock ui's, locke's team are looking downwards from the camera?
Heck, i was expecting some things from Spartan Ops to carry over, and it felt like 343 pretended that didnt happen past the first mission. Not even a mention of that key that Holsey is given by the Librarian, only for half of it to be taken by that Elite dude and the other being stored in the Infinity.
Definitely something going on behind the scenes.
[sp]...i kinda like Cortana's desent into villainy but it looks like Eternal is playing her for general Promethian profit.[/sp]
The cannibalized story kinda reminds me of what happened to Destiny, but a much lesser extent of that. Yeah nevermind what happened to Destiny was a crime against humanity, cant really compare the two.
They come up with some fairly decent concepts every so often but they trip over themselves in the long run.

Am I late, eldewrioto is getting those other halo online maps, dual wield is working, among other things. IDK if the build is released yet

Yeah, that's been happening for a while. Elites are also semi-working, model importing basically works, and people have even made some progress on porting console maps such as lockout and foundry.
I'm imagining that when eldewrito's modding kicks into custom content, you're either not going to see a lot because people don't want to put in the effort, or you're going to see a lot of ports from other games.
why can't they just like, release actual halo 3 on pc for fucks sake

it's still part of the MCC and it'd negate upwards to a quarter of the product that they still want to push to sell Xbox Ones with
I got an Xbox One with a bunch of games, including Halo 5. This is my first Halo game since Halo 3, which I stopped playing in 2008. I'm only playing the MP, waiting for a good deal on the MCC first. It's also one of the first "new" FPS's I've picked up since BLOPS.
Man it's pretty fun. I like that the arena games only last like 6-8 minutes, giving it quick short bursts of fun so you don't get tired of the game in just one session. The actual shooting is cool, although I feel like it takes forever to kill somebody. Maybe I just suck, I'm trying to learn how to play shooters on a controller again, but you need to empty like 20 rounds into someone to kill them, and if they have a green "overshield" (?) it seems like they never die.
I don't understand the card stuff, it seems like the most round about way of unlocking gear. Buying the packs with ingame currency doesn't seem too difficult casually though, just a little slow.
The overshield in this game does feel crazy over powered. Like, even if you get the jump on, and out gun them, they still win the fight

There's less of a chance of Halo coming to the PC now because of the Xbox One's horrible sales, MCC's terrible launch, and what happened to Halo: Online.

I don't know much about marketing and such, but wouldn't the poor Xbox sales give them an incentive to do a PC release? Because if they aren't making their money from the Xbox releases, I would think they would release on PC as a way to rake in money after the failure of the last release.

That increases the chance of PC port.
In fact, I'm damn certain that's the whole reason why Microsoft has been giving pc gaming a lot more attention recently
I can totally see their next "console" being a windows box or something like that where is just a mid end pc running windows 10 with an Xboxy gui. Fuck, ever since the update, that's pretty much what the xbone is now.
That increases the chance of PC port.
Not necessarily, that depends on how much Xbone sales increased when Halo 5 released. I'm fairly certain the Xbone had a fairly large spike in units sold after Halo 5 came out, It wasn't enough to completely turn the tides, but I'm certain it was enough to convince them that it's worth keeping exclusive.

[sp] Seeing as Master Chief was held captive by Cortana during Halo 5, would this mean he has every kind of medal now? [/sp]

Why would they release the Xbox One's main seller on the PC? It's one of the only things keeping the thing alive.
Why would anyone buy an Xbox One if Halo is on the PC?

Its so.. self aware.
I still wouldn't mind if there was a Halo game that came out that was similar to Unreal Tournament. Would love it if bots made their way into Halo somehow on Arena style maps. It would be some serious work though and Forge maps would be somewhat out the question when it comes to Bot play.
A bit of a pipe dream though, along side my wish for a first contact game.

Considering that recent surveys sent out more Xbone games, or some kind of app that can play Xbone games, may be coming to PC.
To be honest, more complicated games than Halo have had bots, at least when it comes to raw deathmatch. Vehicles, wide-open maps with abnormal geometry, knowing when to fall back if shields are low/down are the real problems for bots I imagine. And the Unreal Tournament series handled all of those pretty well all things considered.

If F.E.A.R. could have the AI it did in 2001 then I feel like bot AI shouldn't be as meh as it is nowadays.
Halo with bots would be neat. The bots in the recent CoD games have been pretty decent, and Battlefront's Bot/Battle mode is pretty decent.
If Halo 6 had splitscreen and bots I would forgive 343 for the mistakes they made with 4 and 5.

Didn't fear come out in like 2005 though?
Either way the AI was ahead of anything for its time and in some cases still is.

How so? I never really played FEAR.
Didn't fear come out in like 2005 though?
Ah yeah fuck, got my dates confused. Looked up H1 recently as well and didn't bother to factcheck :v:
How so? I never really played FEAR.
What started as simple 'move into a position to see the player' kind of stuff resulted in the AI actively trying to flank the player and flush them out, and every firefight with the Replica Soldiers either turns into you slaughtering them one-by-one before they can react because you've got slow-mo, deadly leaping kicks and health kits on your side, or the bastards damn well trying to suppress you so that another can toss in a grenade or flank around and catch you off-guard. I'd say they're more clever than Elites to a degree. But then the AI was only designed for players. One or two times in the original FEAR, you'd see Armacham security and the Replica Soldiers fight it out, and they'd all just sort of be dumb as bricks against eachother.
[sp]More games need badass kicking like FEAR and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.[/sp]
