People can shit on 343 all they want but 343 is absolutely killing it with these updates to the multiplayer.
People can shit on 343 all they want but 343 is absolutely killing it with these updates to the multiplayer.
The only thing about this methoid is are people willing to give 343 a second/third chance now that all these updates are out for the Multiplayer, because a lot of people have given up on them because of how they've done things. Whats the online population for 5 anyway? Surely they are doing better than 4 at this time period, at least.
FIREFIGHT?!?! I'm sorry I ever EVER doubted you, 343.
Damn that's got to be a first for a Halo series. And wait really! Infection wasn't included at launch, wow. Sounds like they released an unfinished game. I heard you guys had to wait a month or two for forge. But that's crazy. Is it true you can only forge online as well?
Yeah it's pretty bullshit the state the game was released in [editline]24th February 2016[/editline]
Does anyone know what the best time to buy an Xbox One would be? I don't have time for many in depth games anymore and Halo would be a could small time killer. Also, it looks amazing.
Honestly just look at each console's exclusives right now. If all you want is Forza and Halo get an Xbox One. The PS4 and WiiU have more exclusives and multiplats are generally better on the PS4.
People can shit on 343 all they want but 343 is absolutely killing it with these updates to the multiplayer.
They sure are killing it by releasing content that previous games had at launch. But oh boy my pistol has french fries on it!

If everything was there on day one I would have been burned out on the game by now, but that's just me. I'm just glad they didn't follow the trend of the season pass bullshit and kept the community together through the updates. No clue on the online population, they aren't releasing stats on that.
I knew that Warzone seemed like a branch-off from Firefight, and something like the REQ system would fit perfectly with that style of gameplay.
I knew that Warzone seemed like a branch-off from Firefight, and something like the REQ system would fit perfectly with that style of gameplay.
Literally like MvM from TF2 in a respect
People can shit on 343 all they want but 343 is absolutely killing it with these updates to the multiplayer.
I'll still shit on them if I had to use those stupid cards in firefight.
Seeing as it's going to be considered a Warzone mode you'll most likely be using those cards, and starting weapon variants, to some capacity.
I seem to be the only person who loves req cards. They keep me coming back every single day to the game. I love it. Halo 5 has surpassed Halo 3 in terms of fun for me. Its easily in my top 10 MP games of all time.
I still can't believe people buy REQ cards it's such a waste of money. What is Memories of Reach by the way?
I usually sell my REQs that aren't a rocket launcher, hydra, or sniper since everything else feels kind of useless in most cases. I never keep vehicles since I suck with those. I spend most of my time in Arena, but that may change once the new Firefight is out. [editline]24th February 2016[/editline]
I still can't believe people buy REQ cards it's such a waste of money. What is Memories of Reach by the way?
Why buy them when REQ points are pretty easy to earn. You can earn a shit load pretty quickly in BTB. I get about 1300 or so in BTB, everything else in Arena I earn about half that per match. Reach map(s) and armors most likely.
Some people buy them with real money and that's absolutely idiotic
Some people buy them with real money and that's absolutely idiotic
They're helping fund the content updates and HWC. How dare they. [editline]24th February 2016[/editline] Would you rather have a season pass?
Some people buy them with real money and that's absolutely idiotic
I bought them with real money because im happy with the free content. Is that a sin?
Just played a few matches of Assault on the new map. It's great. Looks like it has two hammers and two H2 BRs that spawn on it.
Some people buy them with real money and that's absolutely idiotic
Without them we wouldn't have the free content.
If you're wondering why you got a REQ pack after the update it's because of this https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/community/blog-posts/spartans-never-walk-alone
To be fair, Microsoft has truckloads of money that they could be putting into their #1 top console seller rather than relying on small microtransactions to feed the developers making the free content. It just seems weird for a franchise as large as Halo to have microtransactions when it's the biggest money maker they have.
To be fair, Microsoft has truckloads of money that they could be putting into their #1 top console seller rather than relying on small microtransactions to feed the developers making the free content.
That money is going towards Halo 6, presumably.
That money is going towards Halo 6, presumably.
They also have other studios fund/support.
That money is going towards Halo 6, presumably.
but first all that money is obviously going into halo wars 2, halo: fall of jul'madama's ass, halo: call of the guardians and three more comics series as well as two more novels that you better study the fuck up on until halo 6 and of course halo spartan siege

They showed a part of some map from Ghosts of Meridan at the end of the stream yesterday so they do have at least something done for that update.
They showed a part of some map from Ghosts of Meridan at the end of the stream yesterday so they do have at least something done for that update.
Relooking at the image, I can see the map in the pic is actually probably a rendering, so i'm wrong in that regard. Hog Wild still does look like art though.
Looks like it's from a comic book.
Why are people getting so pissy about gamemodes being added in later? It's just marketing. Release everything in a oner and everyone gets bored. Release things a month at a time and you're guarenteed to get people coming back. If you've ever spent time on SteamDB you'd know that content updates and sales make for huge spikes in the playerbase, even if it has been dwindling in 3-figure sums for months. 343 know what they're doing. You may not like it but it keeps people coming back to Halo and keeps money coming in. And why the hell would you complain about the REQ system when it's paying for these releases. What's so hard to understand about microtransactions funding game development? People complain about microtransactions and take the free content updates for granted.

And when a game launches with a lack of content so they can keep on releasing new content down the line to keep you interested, I can see why some may not like the business model despite how clever it is. Mainly because in one month a person can play so much of something that they burn themselves out and can't bring themselves to enjoy it as much when later content comes out.
