ughhh... Warzone fills me with rage. *Warden Eternal has arrived, if enemy team kills him they win.* My entire team is pounding him with rockets, lasers, and snipers. We have him down to a sliver of a health. Other team is being held off, they aren't getting the credit for the kill this time. Entire team is destroying Warden. A single enemy player comes in with an SMG and gets credit for the kill, thus winning the game for the enemy team. Mind you, WHILE we were killing the Warden. I guess whoever happens to fire the last bullet gets credit. I CANNOT EXPRESS MY PROPER FEELINGS AT THIS TIME

I CANNOT EXPRESS MY PROPER FEELINGS AT THIS TIME
it's in the game so it's perfectly fine to let the other team do all the work then snipe the warden at the last second lol, git gud :^) really though, i wish they would implement some type of system where you gradually attain points for the damage you are dealing to the bosses. like, if you manage to kill off the enemy team and take away half of the warden's health bar before they can get back, you've scored half the points already from that boss. this way, no one can camp in a corner and wait for the easy point-scoring kill.
seperate health bars for each team problem solved
I also experience a new level of hell on earth every time I spawn in a legendary req only to die to a ghost-riding teammate. Friendly splatters should not be a thing. Actually friendly fire in general is pretty rampant in this game. I tried to play grifball earlier only to have a group of teammates who chose to spawn kill me the entire game instead of even acknowledging that there were enemies. And Breakout is fucking awful when you are basically discouraged from trying to grab a BR or DMR because you are 99% assured that there is a teammate behind you ready to kill you and forfeit the game just because you were closer to the BR/DMR and they felt entitled to it. Turning on friendly fire was a horrific mistake by the developers, frankly if they need to leave it in we should have betrayal booting. I have only seen a betrayal boot prompt once, and that was after a single person spent an entire grifball match chasing me down with a hammer at spawn.
Yes, supporting the pipeline of free content is absolutely idiotic.
It's idiotic to support a pipline that's old content and forge maps. I would rather go back to how Halo 2-Reach did it. Even better, just free maps like in the old days.
You entitled little shit. You're getting free shit and complaining about it. The forge maps go through the same process as any other map, they're made by/with pro level designers. Halo 5 is the most content heavy Halo we've had and you have the sheer cheek to complain that some people are willing to pay for said content in return for getting you free stuff. Fuck off. (User was banned for this post ("flaming" - Orkel))
Even better, just free maps like in the old days.
But that's what they are doing now? They are doing that and more. I always try to defend you in my mind because I agree with basically everything you say, but it's getting harder to defend you.
It's idiotic to support a pipline that's old content and forge maps.
That's grasping for straws. Ya, a lot of it has been that, but we've gotten about as many new maps as could be expected this late in the release. If it were the old style of DLC, we'd be getting four or five new maps in about a month or so. Which is basically what we have now, and more.

Halo 3 and Reach locked you out of playlists if you didn't have the paid dlc.
Read my post again. old days was when maps were brought in free with patches
How many times did that happen in Halo though? I can only remember a small handful of maps that were free. It's obvious 343 will never please you. You have such a disposition to them that anything they do you will hate. They could literally make the best Halo game ever and you will hate them just because. Halo 5 has some of the best MP in the series and on top of that it has free content every month. I don't get how you can hate that.
Read my post again. old days was when maps were brought in free with patches
Halo 2 *IS* the old days. And none of those maps were brought in free through patches. Halo 2's map packs were exclusive paid content for the longest time. Hell, after they made enough of them, you could buy a bundle of all the DLC in physical form.

I don't get how you can hate that.
Because the free "content" every month is literally just old game types that should have been in launch and either weird new armour or terrible renditions of old armour. I said the free maps in patches thing because that's how maps use to be released outside of expansions and Bungie wanted all Halo maps to be free when they were released.
You entitled little shit. You're getting free shit and complaining about it.
Free shit that was in other Halo's, Bungie always innovated every Halo title with something new (Matchmaking, Theatre, Firefight, File Share, Forge, and more) Wow 343 made Warzone and microtransaction REQ's(and almost every helmet is garbage and no one uses except for the Bungie based ones) and even removed big features like splitscreen and forge, but let's get hyped to hear that we're getting some gamemodes back which should've been in the game at launch woohoo!

Also yes that content could and should have been there from launch, but guess what we're still getting them for free and I honestly I like it better that way. I'd rather them take there time and make sure everything is tested and bug free by launch rather then getting it all at once in a broken mess like MCC, because at this point I don't expect any AAA game to come out in a finished state any more, games are just becoming to massive for there Dev cycle and im just glad 343 is making the most out of a bad situation.

Are you really saying they're so busy innovating that they can't add basic functionality to the game which should have been there at launch?
Forge is in the game. Maybe its because of my opinion on AAA games nowadays but I didn't expect a full game on release, in fact im just happy the game launched with what it did. Also I doubt new game modes is not some thing that could just get added on a whim, coding is a fickle bitch, mucking about with it causes all sorts of problems, I wouldn't doubt after MCC 343 didn't want to risk having more bugs they they could fix by launch and killed two birds with one stone by having a stable launch and more content to keep players coming back down the line, ether that or 343 got massive tunnel vision when designing competitive experiences. and of course I never said it was acceptable only that I excepted it to launch like this and im just saying why I think it launched the way it did
It's realistic to expect that from AAA devs these days, yeah, but that doesn't make it acceptable by any measure, and you shouldn't just be complacent with that. I know you didn't outright say it's acceptable, but I don't see any way of defending it in earnest. So many people seem to just go "whoa they're updating it actively, how great is that" like they've got Stockholm syndrome or something.
I think peoples opinion on a "full" game nowadays has become a bit bloated. There were loads of games from the ps2 era that had no multiplayer and only had a 6-10 hour single player campaign and that was it and they were still full price. Hell, older generation games had even less and they cost even more than they do now. It's all down to what you make of it. I feel like people dont remember that because when they were a kid they could stretch something little into more than it was but just repeat playthroughs or through other means. But still, today people say many AAA games aren't "full" games unless they have X amount of content when you could still play it as much as you could those games of old. Honestly it just leads to shit like Ubisoft is doing where every single player game is a huge open world game with little focus for the sake of "content". I mean hell, Halo CE only launched with Local multiplayer and its single player. Would you still call that a full game? It only had 12 multiplayer maps. It would have been mocked by todays standards where any game with a multiplayer has to have like 15+ maps at launch or it's "lacking content"
With how unpopular and low selling Halo 5 has been in comparison to the previous games, do you guys think they might port some of the older Halos to Windows 10? I hope they'll do it, as I've been longing to play the Halo campaigns and I sold my consoles.

Which basically means they won't, if their actions in regards to what makes sense regarding Halo are any indication
With how unpopular and low selling Halo 5 has been in comparison to the previous games
Got a source for that? Halo 5 being unpopular is your opinion. Halo 4s mp was dead faster than 5s.

I am so taking back by this were do I start. First you're defending a game in a franchise that has less content then the previous entries by saying that PS2 games didn't have multiplayer. WHAT? Did you know that Xbox One games today are released without multiplayer and are full games too? You want to know why? Because that isn't expected of them. After Halo 3 Halo is expected to have all of the same gamemode from it like infection, assualt and territories. It's also expected to have Forge, theatre and a fileshare system. All of these are expected to work at launch. Halo 5 lacked almost all of this at launch. It's OK though "they'll patch it in just by REQ cards you entitled child"
Probably a bad time to post this [editline]27th February 2016[/editline]
It's OK though
It is ok, because they were free updates. If they had charged for them, or never released them, THEN that would have been an issue. [editline]27th February 2016[/editline] I just came in first in a Team Slayer on the XB1 version of Reach. Which is impressive considering the horrible framerate. Maybe the other people were playing in XB1 as well :v: https://haloreachstats.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/players/tuskin38/haloreach/gamehistory#!/?game=1437497996&section=Unknown Also I love Mutual Melee kills in Reach.
Ok this is school https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/47vjia/spartan_basketball_is_here_special_thanks_to/ The new Forge for Halo 5 is probably the best part of the game.
