Why did I ever take you off my ignore list.
Because you know that people aren't going to quit quoting him, causing the ignore list to be pointless.
Playing eldewrito i feel like halo 3's netcode is better than a lot of newer games i've played recently.
Uh what? I am so taking back by this were do I start. First you're defending a game in a franchise that has less content then the previous entries by saying that PS2 games didn't have multiplayer. WHAT? Did you know that Xbox One games today are released without multiplayer and are full games too? You want to know why? Because that isn't expected of them. After Halo 3 Halo is expected to have all of the same gamemode from it like infection, assualt and territories. It's also expected to have Forge, theatre and a fileshare system. All of these are expected to work at launch. Halo 5 lacked almost all of this at launch. It's OK though "they'll patch it in just by REQ cards you entitled child"
Has there been any xbone games that have come out that are just a self contained single player with no multiplayer that aren't open world or anything and have they done well? The only received by game I can think of that was like that was Wolfenstein, but even then it wasn't really a blockbuster just very well received . You're missing the point I'm trying to make in that people now days want a game to have everything ever to be in it or else it isn't worth full price. And what does it matter if all this stuff is getting patched in later for free? You know it's coming, and you know it's probably going to be better than it was before, you just have to wait. And you don't HAVE to buy req packs because other people are, but you shouldn't look down on them for it
Why did I ever take you off my ignore list.
Because shutting yourself in an echo chamber is a bad idea
Has there been any xbone games that have come out that are just a self contained single player with no multiplayer that aren't open world or anything and have they done well? I don't even know what you're getting at
It would make sense in many respects for Microsoft to do that. Which basically means they won't, if their actions in regards to what makes sense regarding Halo are any indication
Pretty sure Halo 5 isn't really "low selling" Sure it isn't GTAV but iirc it's a decent success
Pretty sure Halo 5 isn't really "low selling" Sure it isn't GTAV but iirc it's a decent success
Halo 5 didn't sell as well as the other but it's merchandise sold a lot if I remember correctly
Halo 5 didn't sell as well as the other but it's merchandise sold a lot if I remember correctly
Where are you getting these statistics? From what I can see Halo 5 had the best Halo launch of all time. It did better than all the other games launches. Halo 3 only had 300 million it's first week, Halo 4 only had 300 million and Halo Reach only had 350 million in it's first 16 days. Halo 5 on the other hand had 500 million on it's launch week. The game sold like hot cakes.
Well selling during launch week, and over all sales are different.
Well selling during launch week, and over all sales are different.
Yeah but where is he getting over all sales from? You guys keep mentioning it but I cant even find it.
[editline]27th February 2016[/editline] I know a lot of people that say R6:Siege is only worth $30 because it "doesn't have enough content". It has nothing to do with having multiplayer or not, its just having what people conceive as being an "acceptable" amount of stuff in it. I brought up games like Wolfenstein with only a linear singleplayer campaign because people see those types of games as "lacking content". Thats why I also brought up all the open world Ubisoft games, they're big and bloated with stuff to do because thats what people want.

People hate how dull they are with the tower/view system. They at least keep the original content from previous entries while adding new content as well. Halo 5 ditches a lot of previous content that was in the previous games at launch just to finish the game a year after release. I am so confused on how you are defending this
Memories of Reach should bring back the Forklift
Memories of Reach should bring back the Forklift
And with working forks this time

I am so confused on how you are defending this
I honestly see where you are coming from, but at the same time its hard to defend with the current free dlc model. If they are going to delay the game for many months to add some gamemodes and a couple of maps while sitting with most features ready, why not release it? Also (and what is the most likely scenario) these features were left out at launch so they can release it later for free and having people coming back for Halo 5 with fresh gameplay and maps. It's marketing and it works, even if you don't like the practice. At least it doesn't have a microtransaction model like Payday 2, imagine having to buy FORGE DLC PACK, H2A BR DLC or ASSAULT GAMEMODE DLC. It would be a slap across the face and it would sink the community.
Memories of Reach should bring back the Forklift
And the Falcon
Pretty sure Halo 5 isn't really "low selling" Sure it isn't GTAV but iirc it's a decent success
I... never said it was? I was implying that porting the Halo games to Windows would make them money and be a no-brainer from a basic business standpoint.
Speaking of how awesome Halo 5 forge is. https://imgur.com/30WBTnf

they should bring back pestilence [editline]28th February 2016[/editline] & inclement weather
For a second I forgot which thread I was in and wondered which game I was interested in that had plague and storms as features.

He always ends up going on and off my ignore list. back to it: hot damn I love this shit
Illadris looks like something out of Quake or UT.
So i went over to a friend's house and while we were doing stuff he said he'd take a long break on his laptop for some important reason and that i could probably play xbone for a while. I asked if I could play halo 5 campaign. He said I couldn't under pain of death, and that he's not sitting through that shit. Is it really that bad?

Although there's a really awesome 5 minute segment thrown in but yeah it's bad. They basically backpedal on everything from Halo 4, introduce one cute character and nothing happens until the end.

Much less linear than Halo 4 and way more in line with the classic arena-maze-arena layout. There's two (three, but one's a repeat) Starbreeze studio style "talking" missions where you can just chill and interact with people in a not-really-hub-world-but-still-hubbish kinda places. And the The Battle of Sunion. Holy fuck. Basically, the story is universally agreed to suck, but the campaign as a game to play is, in my opinion, fucking great. If not still a bit too lean and forward.
You all forgot to mention the re-used boss battle that makes you feel like you're playing through a raid from Destiny but without any of the loot.

The encounters and level design, probably some of the best in a long time.
I took a whack at making an LMG-looking thing from some Reach concept art: [t]http://i.imgur.com/lC45dYH.png?1[/t] [t]http://www.videogamesartwork.com/sites/default/files/images/image/1375881857/haloreach_scene_spartan_assault.jpg[/t] The stock was a bit difficult because it's obscured by the Spartan's arm in the art.
Stock looks pretty good to me. Can we get a first person perspective render? That thing looks rad.
