Ammo box looks really tiny in comparison with the photo. Otherwise that is amazing.
Yeah, I realized that about the magazine shortly after posting, lol. The barrel is also a little long, I think. I'm doing the first person render right now though, it's about halfway done. I was very close to ripping the SIII FP arms and rigging them but realized it would be a silly amount of work for something barely visible. [editline]29th February 2016[/editline] It's, uh, not spectacular but here's the first-person view. [t]http://i.imgur.com/dbmJwS2.png[/t]
I took a whack at making an LMG-looking thing from some Reach concept art: [t]http://i.imgur.com/lC45dYH.png?1[/t] [t]http://www.videogamesartwork.com/sites/default/files/images/image/1375881857/haloreach_scene_spartan_assault.jpg[/t] The stock was a bit difficult because it's obscured by the Spartan's arm in the art.
Awesome work dude! That's exactly what the SAW should have looked like.
It would be cool to have that thing as a power weapon in the Reach DLC. Does the SAW even spawn on any of the maps? I've only seen it in Warzone.
I really want the pro pipe back.
I really want the pro pipe back.
That was always my "go to" weapon in Reach.
I think that part is suppose to be pushed in not jutting out but still a very good model!
Here's a list of things that should come back, in my honest opinion. Falcon Hornet Grenade Launcher Sticky Detonator Revenant (I don't really remember getting a chance to put it to use in Reach.) Chopper (Ramming into other vehicles with boost to destroy them was a really game-changing and interesting feature.) Future updates could also bring more Legendary weapons like a classic shotgun when infection rolls out. Just what I wish we could get. Honestly we really need the Plasma Rifle to be a legendary weapon in an upcoming update. Besides the art change and the horrible stories, removing what is arguably the most iconic weapon from the series is a serious kick in the balls.

I'm not sure it would make sense for it to be recessed because otherwise it wouldn't be darker than the surrounding parts of the gun that are in shadow. Thanks a bunch for the feedback though, guys!
Forza 6 is coming to PC in a slimmed down/free version. Halo when?
Forza 6 is coming to PC in a slimmed down/free version. Halo when?
When Microsoft Game Studios can make good decisions that make them money.
Forza 6 is coming to PC in a slimmed down/free version. Halo when?
That's what Halo Online was gonna be wasn't it?
That's what Halo Online was gonna be wasn't it?
For russia only and has a shit p2w model.
When Microsoft Game Studios can make good decisions that make them money.
Microsoft needs Halo as a console-seller. Keeping it an exclusive is an excellent decision that makes them more money than selling it on PC. Who knows, maybe it's also a way of keeping investors confident in the Xbox brand.
I started watching Forwad Unto Dawn on Netflix. Things were going pretty well until the squad leader called cadets 'Noobs'. Seriously?

People here just complain without thinking of the actual business knowledge that goes into game development. "Clever marketing you say? Well they're just being dicks to fuck over the community and steal our money." To be fair, they really should at least make a western release of Halo:Online. At least try and make some capital out of their horrendous fuckup and support the development.
For russia only and has a shit p2w model.
It was piloted in Russia. It wasn't explicitly made only for Russia. Honestly I think it was scrapped due to a mix of massive backlash when it was first announced, and the modding community ripping it to shreds (not that I mind, it's fucking awesome)
"Newbie' was used in the Vietnam War era to refer to a new member of a unit. Noob originated from that word. I don't see anything wrong with it.
I understand that, but it feels like they put it in just as a reference to games rather than having an in-universe term for bad cadets. Newbie may be real, but it seemed a little force TBH. Altogether though, Forward Unto Dawn was pretty good. It made the Covenant, and their weaponry, a lot more menacing (considering all it takes is one Needler Needle to kill someone) and also the Spartan II's a lot tougher. One thing I have against it, though, is [sp]when Silvia dies. Not because it's forced, but because only Lasky seems to care about it. If Orenski and Sullivan were both in her squad with Lasky, wouldn't they also show a bit of emotion too?[/sp]

They probably were, but just didn't show it like Lasky did. [/sp]
Aside from the cliffhanger ending, I never quite got why some people disliked halo 2 so much. Bungie did a great job with the set pieces and variety to keep the game interesting throughout, and the mission where you cut the cable is one of my favorites in any game ever along with the maw. I think i prefer it overall over CE and 3's campaign, though they all have their strengths (though I wasn't as much of a fan of 3's overall story feel, and man fuck the flood who would hang on the walls in the hive and shoot you on heroic). And god damn that soundtrack. I really hope H2A comes to PC with windows 10 or something so I'm not stuck with a shit port using 3rd party programs to fix the mouse issues.
I think it was the increased role of the covenant in the story. Looking back, people wanted them to remain as sorta mysterious simple bad guys. Same thing's happening with the Forerunner now, really. Explaining shit no one wanted an explanation to.

That's not the general opinion of the 2004 fanbase. It's cool now, but no one really wanted or expected the story to go that direction 12 years ago. I agree the arbiter levels are the shit but you have got to have some debilitating selective memory to forget that backlash. Oh wait, I forgot who you are
I don't really get why there was so much backlash. The true mystery was the forerunners all along, Master Chief as a character was bland as fuck in Halo 1-3 and the Covenant getting some more background info apart from "Yeah they're religious aliens with laserguns and they have big spaceships" was a nice addition. The biggest complaint I heard was that you weren't playing as the Master Chief, which I didn't mind at all.
The backlash was dumb, but it mostly came from the people who came to halo for its "modern take on the old ego shooter formula" aspect; the half-lifey kinda game where you have a looking glass character and a world that unveils itself through his sole POV. I understand the backlash, but I don't agree with it.
I don't have any particular Halo I like over any others. I think each game has it's strong points and weak points. Halo 1 had clunky ass, boring movement but the campaign played really well. Some levels were a little iffy but nothing to ruin the game. I really liked the 2 playable characters stuff in Halo 2, I can't speak about multi-player because back then I didn't even have internet. Halo 2 had some of the best single player levels. Halo 3 didn't do anything special and the cutscenes were huge letdowns, I expected more from a 360 title, however the story was really good. Halo Reach is about as close to perfect as the series has been but the armor abilities were pretty shit. Halo 4 brought one thing I'd wanted from the beginning, the Ability to sprint and more convincing cutscenes. It really brought something fresh to the series, the ending didn't really annoy me but the leadup did, everything moved way too fast at the end. Halo 5 really ticks a lot of boxes for me, the cutscenes were fantastic, that opening sequence was one of the finest I've seen in a game. Everything was just more engaging and "epic." [sp]The sequence where you scale down a Guardian was fucking great.[/sp] However I think we all agree the story was a little crap and we saw too little of blue team and too much of Osiris. I saw one video that talked about the possibility that for the majority of the development, Halsey was actually the main antagonist, which I think would have been way more interesting than what we got. Halo 5's multiplayer is fantastic and that's all I'm gonna say about that. TLDR: I think all the Halo games are good.

He always thought the modern backlash was just another incarnation of Halo 2's stupid anti-Covenant backlash. (He did a complete 180 on his stance toward the series in general recently, but that's another story)
There's been backlash against every Halo. Every last game is the good old days.
