The hell did they to the Wraith's design? I knew the Covenant designs were bad in Halo 5 (better than 4... mostly), but who could have looked at the concepts for it and said "Yep, this is the design we're going with"?
What I don't like is how all plasma weapons have barrels now. Its fine for weapons like the carbine. The plasma rifle, plasma pistol, repeater, and every other plasma weapon shown have had the open fronts with two prongs connecting some sort of energy flow. Now we have the storm rifle with just a barrel, and they changed the plasma pistol and gave it a barrel. It bothers me so much. lol

I think 343 did a pretty good job with the covvie vehicles.

Spartan, stop using dumb ratings instead of disagree. It's like you are deliberately trying to antagonise people at this point. On topic though I didn't like the wraith designs at first but they grew on me. The new designs seem more like a sangheli vehicle and the old design looks more like a brute vehicle. Thing is you can't keep the designs the same this far into the series or everything would look boring and people would complain that nothing new is coming to the series. However I wholly agree on the criticism of covenant weapons having barrels, they do little to stand out from human weapons now, at least the Promethean weapons still do all that weird floaty shit. [editline]11th April 2016[/editline] Also, I'm not a fan of some aspects of the ghosts. I preferred when they didn't shoot lightning out the bottom of them and preferred when it was just a blue beam coming out the back. I also miss the weird spazzy second explosion they'd do in the earlier games, the sound effect was ace and the explosion added just a little bit more interest to the covenant tech.

It's more curvy and the rear is smaller, other than the paint job and excessive lines I personally like the design. The real offenders are the Ghost and the Banshee, those things are a mess.

The real crime is making the entire front fall off to get inside. It's a tank, you should enter it like a tank
I see they designed the cannon around the original CE one with Reach's fins instead
Huh you're right. I never noticed that
Wraith, and Covenant equipment in general, all had my favorite designs in the original game. I never liked how as the games went on the designs got more mechanical bits on them. I loved the original super smooth designs because they looked so alien. They didn't even have visible exhaust ports or anything, they just kinda worked on some technology so far ahead of us that it effectively looks like magic.
It looks like the Flood tried to infect it and then realised it's a machine
I didn't mean they looked like a brute vehicle as in the one's actually made by brutes (like the chopper) but it seemed like the sort of size and shape of vehicle a brute would use. [editline]11th April 2016[/editline] And Spartan, thumb you images for christ's sake.

Is warzone firefight only one map? The keep showing off ARK alot...
They said it's only on Ark. [sp]for now[/sp]
I've always wondered why they don't bring back Elite player models. At least then you'd have a slightly reasonable excuse for batshit crazy armor designs.
I've always wondered why they don't bring back Elite player models. Even without it, and not hoping I sound like a broken record here given my explanation for dual wielding removal before, it was also probably balancing issues due to hitboxes.
I honestly liked it in reach how the elites, while bigger, had other advantages over spartans. They had stronger shields iirc and they also had stuff like the targeting reticules for plasma weapons.
Am I the only one who really likes the new wraith? It's growing on me, but it'd look a lot nicer if it was smoother and shiny.
Spartan, stop using dumb ratings instead of disagree. It's like you are deliberately trying to antagonise people at this point.
Look, I get that his opinions can be annoying sometimes, but they're just ratings. Don't get worked up over them.
It's not his opinions that get to me, it's his arrogance to other's opinions that annoys me. He uses the dumb rating on everything he disagree's with, instead of coming up with a counter argument it comes across as "you're wrong, I'm right." It's that attitude that annoys me. What is dumb about this post? [t]http://puu.sh/of0q6/ecc257dc59.png[/t] Nothing right? Yeah because it's an opinion.
jesus, just stop
Is warzone firefight only one map? The keep showing off ARK alot...
Considering the beta is on Ark :v:
Anyone up for a few games right now?
They seem to want to make Wargames vaguely related to combat sim / sports shit on the Infinity I guess, so having Elites as character avatars doesn't make much sense in that context.
That's definitely true, though I think they have some options for how they can write it off in-universe. One potentiality that I have in mind is that relations with the Sangheili have improved to the point where they've started training and running simulations together. (With the friendly Sangheili factions, of course). That way, when it comes down to it in the field, both the humans and the Sangheili will be able to perform with increased efficiency and better cooperation overall. Granted this is just a very rough idea and there are potentially things wrong with it, but I was just thinking something along this line.
Halo: Online had the right idea, a secret testing unit made up of Spartan IVs and some of the Arbiter's top elites. All squared away on a top-secret space-station designed for wargames.
