I wonder who the "Phone Guy" will be for this game. I don't really know who or what could explain how to play the game. The only thing I can think of is the kid's father reassuring you through some portable tape, "There's no monsters... But if you think you see something do this" or something. Though that sounds somewhat ridiculous.
Someone theorized the toy phone on the floor in front of the closet would be your "phone guy", giving you innocently encouraging advice that darkens and becomes more sinister at the nights go on.

Do it faggot"
Night 7: You challenge mini Springtrap to fisticuffs! and the game turns into a fighter.
Guys, something is outside the window, 0:38. [editline]14th July 2015[/editline]
Yooo..... [t]http://www.wduwant.com/index_uploads/uploads/6544bc39a4c.png[/t]
Where did you find this? It isn't in the trailer.
Where did you find this? It isn't in the trailer.
It is. Just pause it right at the start of the trailer's jumpscare.
It is. Just pause it right at the start of the trailer's jumpscare.
Oh it is too, I thought it was the closet.
this seriously looks to be the scariest fnaf game yet. the trailer brings me back to my childhood in which i'd see weird demons lurking at the end of hallways that would quickly disappear the moment i saw them. this game seems to be recreating that same fear i had as a little kid that one of the monsters at the end of the hallway would pop in my closet or "get" me when i wasn't paying attention.
I know that feeling. Hell, this trailer doesn't help since the house I lived in has a long hallway just like the ones in the trailer. When I was younger, I'd see things down it, which is why I eventually slept with the door closed.
I dunno if we're grasping at straws here, but my friend and I came up with a theory of sorts. When the light is shined at the Freddy toys on the bed, they retreat under the bed, presumably to their owner. So, Freddy's under the bed? ALL ABOARD TO NOPEVILLE!!
I have no idea why but this image reminds me of outlast ( just add a battery meter and a night vision overlay)
I've been saying for a while that a Five Nights at Freddy's game with Outlast gameplay would be an excellent use of the FNAF atmosphere.

[editline]14th July 2015[/editline]
I could just imagine a kid waking up because he hears noises in his room then slowly his wardrobe opens revealing Foxy who whispers something like "911 was an inside job" or " remember to eat a balanced healthy breakfast" after which he slowly closes the door.
The engine really shows its age with moving stuff that isn't the camera.
One thing that has not been mentioned here yet: the bedroom also has an air vent.
Kinda what to see the mascots move often, foxy gunning for you or freddy tangoing past the screen really was unexpected shit.
The engine really shows its age with moving stuff that isn't the camera.
As people said with the first game, I like how it looks like an older game. Makes it creepier imo.
As people said with the first game, I like how it looks like an older game. Makes it creepier imo.
Which kind of older game do you mean? An interactive one where you have a lots of control with movement using WASD and so on (Catacombs, Wolfenstein 3D), or a FMV game where you need to click on places to go there? (The 7th Guest, Return to Zork, not counting the SCUMM engine games)

Night Trap at Freddy's
Night Trap at Freddy's
Kinda ironic that I mentioned Night Trap before in this thread, except in NTaF you don't "kill girls" as some idiot claimed back then. I think it'd be more suitable for Double Switch. …To think those CD addons for consoles were wasted on FMV games that could've been on arcade machines instead, like Dragon's Lair.
i just noticed the toy robot in the bedroom looks a lot like Alphus from TDH also the toys are looking at the closet
Everything in this game looks like an FMV from some old 90's PC point and click game. And it's perfect.
Yooo.....
Is Bonnie's arm going through the door on that image? EDIT: Upon watching the trailer again, I only see two "rooms" in the trailer. It looks like you can go and lean out the doors to look down each hallway, you can move up to the closet to check on it, and you can check the bed for mini freddies. Not sure where or how the hallway with 4 doors and springtrap on a chair work out though.
I'm glad scott changed the art style somewhat, it felt really tired by the third game.
I still miss the original animatronic designs...

Since there's no cameras and it looks like you're pretty much just moving around your bedroom and looking down adjacent hallways, the idea that the purple splotch is a map seems like it might be jossed. Any other ideas what it could be?
Are we going to forget that this doesn't look like it was made with Clickteam Fusion and you can freely move around the house?
Are we going to forget that this doesn't look like it was made with Clickteam Fusion and you can freely move around the house?
No evidence of this. It's almost certainly still fusion. if free roam is possible it'll probably point and click.
Are we going to forget that this doesn't look like it was made with Clickteam Fusion and you can freely move around the house?
I think there was some way to have a 3D environment, but don't remember what "Fusion" engine it'd be used for. [SP]And by the way, my username turned yellow-ish… Not sure what I did to get promoted. :-P[/SP]
Is Bonnie's arm going through the door on that image?
It wouldn't be Scott if there wasn't any clipping!
