seriously though... I've never seen that much FNAF reaction going on on that site, and the other things that are happening this week ain't helping it.
If the parents did buy the remains of the franchise, oh boy the kid is screwed, I mean, isn't the kids bodys are in the animatronics? Wouldn't that mean at night, the nightmares shall start?

I love this interesting series, and I hold nothing but respect for a guy that managed to get so much money and make t he first interesting horror game with a shoe string budget, while most AAA companies put all their money into bad/mediocre horror games.

That idea of only having a flashlight in the tiny, "safe room" gives me impressions it's gonna be like FNaF 1 again where hitting 0% means a slow death… but then again, the Purple Dude might be very angry so he does just that if he's involved here.
I also suspect that dying here would mean the child never wakes up again, considering that death is "eternal sleep".

The other models I was kinda just like, "huh, that's neat" but I am actually impressed with how close these heads are.
Yikes the video editing for the fnaf4 trailer was a bit average but it still looks horrifying. While I am glad Scotts doing something different, what made the first fnaf scary imo was the fact the animatronics looked (somewhat) normal. It was a perfect level of unnerving between fnaf2s overly cute animatronics which I didn't find scary in the slightest and fnaf3/4s LOOK AT DESE THEYRE BIG AND SCARY AND TEEFY MONSTERS.
All said and done I appreciate all the games in this series but 1 will always be my favorite, and 4 will probably come second. 3 was cool but didnt have much to it and 2 was the least scary (imo) and I hated balloon boy

2 was tense, but not really scary. There was too much shit going on at all times for you to get a second of [I]nothing[/I] to yourself, which is when the fear really starts to set in.
One thing that kinda got me in the trailer for the 4th game is that the animatronics don't look child friendly at all. I mean the ones from the first and second game still look like something you would see in a theme park or something like that.
Not this time thought. This time they really do look like monsters from a horror movie.

I honestly did not know that the setting of the 4th game was on a nightmare. Truth be told the trailer did not make this clear enough for me.

Aren't the robots way too detailed to be somebody's nightmare? They have a lot of well-drawn "scary" (teeth, holes) and techical features (endoskeletons, drills).
I'd also say that dying in a dream isn't the worst fate - at best, you will wake up scared; at worst, you will die for real, but your death is certainly less messy than the FNaF1 one.
On a side note, I wonder: Since there are likely no suits to be stuffed into, how the robots will kill humans now?

Similarly, there was also never any indication on how [I]exactly[/I] Springtrap kills you, was there? He seems to have been the only complete suit in the establishment and is presently occupied, so I'm wanting to assume that he just does something equally gory and rips the player apart with his own strength or something like that. Maybe the Nightmares do something similar?
Although if this truly is a nightmare, I can easily see it being implied that the Nightmares [I]eat[/I] you. You're still more-or-less getting "stuffed" into an animatronic, and it does appear that the game has [I]some[/I] sort of connection to the Bite of '87...

You can't stuff yourself inside something else without external assistance! In the robots' case, they're require the victim to do the "stuffing"… the good part is you can just [I]go away[/I], unless the atoms somehow get inside yer body and get rebuilt from inside your body.
It's kinda like Alien except this has nothing to do with organic monsters, only matter that can flow around at will.
In the case of a nightmare, it's like I pictured it: a nightmare in the youngster's sleep, but one that can turn such a rest permanent (thus death, if brain activity or the pulse is forcefully shut down)…
