I honestly don't know why the whole "haunted attraction" thing is so hard to believe. It makes perfect sense to me. Rumors fly around about a bunch of kids that go missing. Restaurant closes down for a couple of years. It reopens again and some more strange shit happens. It closes down for good. Soon the entire place is nothing more than a creepy urban legend that kids tell each other about. Greedy jerks decide that it would be a cool idea to capitalize off of said urban myth. Thus the horror show begins. Really not that hard to believe. When a killer can't be found, people get wild ideas like maybe the animatronics did it. Usual rumor stuff. It really isn't that hard to believe.
Heres my oc FRANNIE FAZBOAR SHE IS A HALF ANIMATRONIC VAMPIRIC WEREWOLF THAT CAN ENTER YOUR DREAMS WHILE YOU ARE AWAKE
Actually, it may make sense that bonnie was the true mastermind all along Bonnie is purple.
That actually sounds pretty clever, now that I think about it. I was wondering why isn't it that the one animatronic is Freddy? I was also thinking if they're haunted by dead kids how fucked up is it that they've been disassembled and made into spare parts and lamps

SOmething about the restaurant owners getting wise about the supposedly haunted animatonics and shoving them in some place, call it haunted and let people come in and be spooked.

Random buttholes coming in and trying to make a profit off local legends is not uncommon, and the way the restaurant has been dressed up to look extra creepy while claiming to be as accurate as possible sounds like that.

It could also be a cheeky jab at everyone accusing Scott of a cashgrab (ridiculous considering the work he puts into this) by setting it in a place built around cashgrabs.
someone on tvtropes made an interesting point taht in all 3 trailers for the game Bonnie features prominently, as well as being purple as the guy up there said. Might be some credibility to theories there.
So Freddy is a figurehead, while Bonnie is the true mastermind?
Bonnie's always been the all star imo. Most recognizable, most active, always first to move, etc.
A skeleton with sinew attached and robotic shit screwed on is literally the thing that haunts me.
The movie "virus" is the reason for this, btw. Here's one of the robots: [t]http://www.scififx.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/virus-1999-11-g.jpg[/t] hahahahh this shit gave me nightmares for years. i will never watch this movie again.
To be honest with all the theories, it's great that the community cares that much, but I think a lot of it requires Scott to be as deep into the lore as everyone else is, and I don't think that's quite the case. Like, I agree that the purple text could probably have some meaning behind it, but pointing out that Bonnie has been prominent im every trailer just really seems like a coincidence. I think the big option here, Purple Guy, is probably what was intended. There's been some serious crackpot theories, which are fun and cute, but at some point I think the community should really put it in perspective. It's not a team of writers and this isn't a Valve ARG. Scott probably wouldn't try to double agent us and like reveal some huge conspiracy in the game - everything lore related has been hugely hinted at. Such as the marionette being the secret puppet master, Purple Guy, while his identity is unknown, is the dude who murdered the children, etc.

- now that I think about it might be possible -

Most of the theories people come up with are just grasping at straws. Nothing is solid until Scott confirms it. I feel like 5N@F2 really made it worse by introducing so many new details (the marionette, BB, BB's paper plate figure, Shadow Bonnie, making it a surprise prequel, etc.) that don't actually have any properly explained lore or purpose behind their existence. Scott never expanded on these concepts and left it up to the fans to decide, which I personally think is a very, very bad thing to do.

Especially because it would most likely end up as the fans being disappointed because it wasn't some super crazy plot device that would blow everyone's mind and it'll probably be more like "it's a ghost oooooo"
Havent you heard? its a mirror, you are the fan
Is it actually a mirror? Also why do people think we are at the Horror Attraction? They never said we were.

Also guys, what if the Animatronic just wants to help you get more Animatronics back together? He just wants friends and the place to be fun for the kids like the Animatronics wanted, to have fun with kids. So he steals the Animatronics from the box, puts them together and programs them or w/e to be spooky scary for the kids? So they could still be at one of the old Pizzeria's looking for stuff. [editline]28th January 2015[/editline]
At the end of the FNAF trailer when it shows the Golden Bonnie jumpscare, pause the video as soon as the shot starts. Is that the infamous paperdoll stuck on the window? The screenshot Scott provides trickily crops out this area so we can't compare. [t]http://i.imgur.com/PDwyDk3.jpg[/t]
If you are talking about the Shadowy part then no, I doubt it is since it's all crunched up, while in the box it's all fine and dandy. If you mean the actual one next to it then I am pretty sure it's fake.
You just said something that FNAF Fanfic writers base their stories off of
And? It was a reference to when FN@F1 was still the main game and a bunch of people in this thread was saying Foxy just wanted to help you, check up on you and stuff.

It doesn't make it any less fun to speculate about things even without concrete evidence, and that's just what speculation is about, having fun.
Man, Scott is the most positive game developer I've ever seen.
Considering everything Scott has been through I really am glad he's got the success he does. Whether you like him or not or his products I hope you can at least respect the guy and what he's been through and the success he's getting now.
Jesus, don't be like Almir from Overkill and put the winky face at end, it just teases even more you bastard
But that's the fun part ;)
Fan's fixed. [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/30732491198087606/FFCB2EBF7E91F0285666E13D5015FF93284071E7/[/t] [editline]28th January 2015[/editline] Judging by the images and speculation, I think Scott is going back to basics and focusing more on the Camera's, since in FN@F2 you hardly used any other camera besides the Vents and the Prize Corner. Also going onto an earlier post where a guy said you have to stop the Animatronic stealing the bits and pieces, that sounds rad and I think you have to make the Animatronic take a detour as it goes in an S pattern. And yes it seems to be a horror attraction as there are two exits, so I was wrong about that. The only thing I don't understand is how the old Animatronics will be used if the Animatronic steals them and rebuilds them. Unless Scott is making the file size bigger or somehow managed to make smooth Animations with a small file size and having more Animatronics.
When this comes out I certainly know what I'm NOT going to be watching videos of out of fear. I mean, when FN@F's 1 was released I thought it was the most terrifying shit to exist.
